Mel Tal'Verda: What a mess...
Diego Kal'Torrin: That's what the Field Brooms are for, only way we'll break even.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

[*]Misc. Equipment:

SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
  • Durable: Mandalorian Steel build and armor platting protects it from most projectile and shrapnel types as well as substantial blaster resistance.
  • Heuristic Processor: Aids in machine learning and memory
  • Search and Rescue: Due to its array of sensors and the tech to clear debris and metal, it makes an excellent search and rescue droid as well
Weaknesses:
  • Cowards: Unless in a large group, the BR-25 Scavenger tends to stay away from combat and shies away from non-registered friendlies
  • Designed for Scavenging: While the droid does sport what could be considered weapons, their use was not designed for combat, thus making them difficult to be utilized and making the BR-25 a horrible combatant.
DESCRIPTION
The BR-25 Scavenger Droid, affectionately called the "Vhetin Cataitr" (Field Broom) by the Mandalorians, is an effective scavenger droid utilized by the Mandalorian Empire. Designed to canvas an area after a battle, it uses its vibrosaw maw and composite-beam laser to cut through and harvest scrap metal and beskar for reforging or sale. Though they aren't designed for combat, their vibrosaw maw is nothing to scoff at. Made from Mandalorian Steel, the saw in combination with its composite beam laser cuts through Beskar much faster than even a lightsaber can, making them integral to the Mandalorian war machine. The droid shreds the metal into flakes that fill up four canisters attached to their back and hindquarters making them valuable targets for post-battle scavengers. An entire pack can be controlled and monitored by a single Mandalorian through their advanced helmet HUD.

[member="Nadja"] The metal is to be used by a Mandalorian, the resulting product can be sold to anyone. This has always been the case with Mandalorian companies.

I'm sure there are more between the three or four bigger Mandalorian companies that use it but that's what I found quickly. I know that has never been a rule in the factory before and I don't think it should be retroactively made one now either as it doesn't make sense to have companies that manufacture this material en mass and then only sell it to a couple million people when these companies span the galaxy.
