STANDARD FEATURES
  • All Standard Features

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Large Cargo Bays
  • Medical Facilities
  • Limited Star Fighter repair bays
  • Backup fuel tanks
Strengths:
  • Workshop: The Vertigo class is designed to be a one stop shop logistical vessel for the Octarchy Covenant on extended deployments
  • Spare Fuel: The Vertigo carries additional fuel that can refuel tanks on any capital ship in the fleet.
  • Medical Facilities: The Vertigo Ships feature full surgical medical facilities for wounds that require a full medical suite but cannot wait for return to a planetary installation.
  • Extreme Defenses: The Vertigo features thick durasteel plates and heavy deflector shields to shrug off all but the strongest of hits.
Weaknesses:
  • Hanger Bays: While the frigate sports fighter bays, these bays have been converted to repair bays exclusively, meaning the ship cannot carry its own host of fighters.
  • Not a fighter: The Vertigo has no offensive capabilities, and as such is rarely deployed into direct combat scenarios, instead lingering on the outskirts of the area of operation.
  • Fuel Tanks: If one of the spare fuel tanks ruptures, the results could be disastrous.
Description: After the Octarchy Covenant downsized to a task force within the CIS, Voph commissioned a series of logistical vessels to augment the task force's ability to operate effectively in hostile territory for extended periods. The ships were designed to feature extended medical facilities, increased supply stores, and star fighter repair bays, but due to size limitations, these are not state of the art facilities by any means. The medical facilities inhabit the ring towards the aft of the ship, while the rest of the ship is dedicated to cargo and fuel. The ship has no weapons, instead focusing on providing logistical support for the assigned battle-group.
