Over the course of recent, Galactic History, numerous battles have been waged in the name of conquest...but none have matched the ferocity of the Battle of Roche. There, brave men and women clashed over the Verpine Asteroids in the hopes of gaining control over the territory. However, whilst the battle raged, a single ingenious act on the part of one [member="MSE-007"] resulted in the amassment of data for usage by the Sith Empire. It managed to interface with the diagnostic systems of half-assembled starfighters within the Verpine factory G99 and thereby transmit said data to its superiors. This information climbed up the chain of command, changing hands from General Falon Azrakel to Grand Moff Rytek'irk'intrano. Ultimately, this data would be provided to the manufacturer of the Sith Empire's engines of war: Sienar Fleet Systems, who then utilized this invaluable information to produce an exceptionally advanced starfighter.
With the project spearheaded by the former owner of Sienar, [member="Sasha Santhe"], the resulting line numbered in the dozens and was poised to serve elite Sith Knights, distinguished officers, and other deserving parties within the Empire; such as those who had fought during the Roche Flashpoint. However, as these things often go, the passage of time resulted in the ultimate destruction of the Sith Empire, and no longer did these exceptional vessels see unified service under a single banner. No, instead the respective owners scattered about the stars with these gems seemingly faded into obscurity...until now. Enter Isley Verd, a notable collector of sorts. Through chance in certain cases, and business arrangements in others, he came to own four of these masterpieces.
In particular, the first pair came into his ownership via [member="Kiyala Demont"]. She, who had gained hers through participation in the Battle of Roche and through seizing the full assets of a fellow Sith, exchanged the two Aleph-class Sith Starfighters in her possession for a personalized weapon and a single lesson under Isley. The next one was provided by [member="Eldoc Quasat"], for a copy and tutelage in the contents of one of the scrolls residing in Isley's personal collection. The third was a gift from the former Emperor, [member="Darth Janus"], who passed down the vessel to Isley in recognition of his being the apprentice of Gregor Gideon; a mutual friend and ally to both of them. Lastly, the final Aleph-class Starfighter originally belonged to an individual named Zaiden. However, upon his death, all of his assets were given to [member="Feena Mason"] by right of inheritance. Having no need for a starfighter, she then gifted it to her closest friend.
However, whilst the speed of these vessels far out-paced any that Isley had ever seen before, there were still some touch-ups that could be made. Therefore, he called in a personal favor from his spouse, [member="Phoebe Verd"], who then allowed them to be updated and refit through her company: Arakyd Industries. The total sum of changes were not exceptional, amounting in the exchange of the standard concussion missile launchers for a duo of flex tube missile launchers. In addition, the starship hull was augmented with the incorporation of duraplast upon the quadanium alloy. This incorporation was carefully balanced, as to not weigh the vessel down and thereby affect its impressive speed; thereby amounting in a marginal augmentation to its total durability.
As a whole, the vessels were then renamed as a reflection of the changes; taking Isley's surname as their classification from thenceforth.
