Description: When it came to producing a set of armor to replace her aging armor, Noah left to stone unturned in his quest to make the best armor for his good friend [member="Ven'Rain Sekairo"]. Noah designed the armor from the ground up, the primary bodyglove under the armor was made up of specially treated Terenatek Hide, this allowed things like force crush, force choke and other offensive force moves like that to be completely negated. The secondary bodyglove was the same as Noah used in his armor, a mixture of Armorweave and Phrik microfibers that Noah budded, Armor-Phrik Weave, this layer was also flame retardant and insulated to negate the effects on lighting attacks. The final layer was probably the most important, armor plates made of Phrik, completely lightsaber resistant and not to mention resistant to both slugs and blaster bolts. Next the armor was fitted to the purpose of the user. Unlike Noah's armor, which was designed to be more of a tactical armor, using things like a whipcord and flamethrower to attack, Ven's armor though was a product of her brute strength. First of all a shield was needed, as the best offense is a good defense, after hours of research Noah finally got the idea to use a lightshield, with a one meter radius to protect Ven against lightsabers and blaster bolts. Secondly, melee weapons were needed, so Noah outfitted Ven's left hand with a version of the Mandalorian crushgaunt, which in testing was easily able to crush medium armor. On Ven's left hand, a stun gauntlet was added, instead of being normal voltage though the voltage was nearly double, so instead of being non-lethal, it became slightly lethal. Added to both hands were a vibro-knuckler just like Noah's just a whole ten centimeters longer. Of course there were a need for tactical items as well, to this end, Noah added in a military grade radio and encryption device in the helmet, as well as a MFTAS System, Military Grade Advanced HUD and a Broad-Band Radio Antenna. Though this a great set of armor, it does not come without its weaknesses. One is the fact that this armor is pretty heavy, only for use by Ven. Another is the fact that it has a few small gaps between the Phrik plates making a few small weak points, though in these areas, the primary bodyglove is a bit thicker. The last weakness is that even though it protects against most offensive force powers, the secondary bodyglove layer can't protect from telekinetically thrown objects. Due to the multiple modules on the armor only two can be used at the same times, sans the HUD which is active all the time.

SUGGESTIONS

Alright, so I am going to do a tally of this armor's capabilities and then I want you to tell me if you think this is approvable with the current work done.

  • Lightsaber resistant.
  • Force resistant.
  • Lightning resistant.
  • Flame resistant.
  • Blaster/Slugthrower resistant.
  • It has a crushgaunt, which is made out of beskar.
  • You have around eight advanced techs integrated into the armor.
  • You have a shield that was used by the Jedi, that can also deflect lightsabers and blaster bolts.
  • You have a gauntlet that can not only stun people, it is also a 'little bit' lethal.
  • You have integrated mag gloves with either or both the aforementioned gauntlets.
You have put this against it.

  • It's heavy, so only the person its made for can use it optimally.
  • It has a few gaps between the phrik plates, but the primary bodyglove is thicker in those spots.
  • The terantatek bodyglove doesn't protect against all Force attacks, just the ones that directly affect your body.
  • Your phrik dev thread has 36 posts, most of them 4-liners.

Do you think I should approve this as is?

Removed the stun gauntlet, mag-gloves, tac-pad and holo-projector. Also added in a another weakness that only two modules, sans the HUD, can be used a one time. Also, I was under the impression that crushgaunts could be made out of any metal strong enough, ie: Phrik.

...okay this totally slipped me by, a second time now. [member="Noah Corek"] next time, please. PM me if the waiting gets ludicrous.

I will take a close look in a few and get you some more pointers.

The materials you have in use are not force resistant. Alchemized terentatek hide, or alchemically treated terentatek hide, are capable of withstanding the force. Leather created from the skin of a terentatek itself does not offer any benefits except looking nice. If you wish to pursue the resistance to the application of a variety of force abilities, I highly suggest that you contact someone who does Sith Alchemy, such as [member="Darth Metus"] (as Rave is no longer with us).

A crushgaunt is created with beskar, and you also wish to have a phrik vibro-knuckler attached at the top of it. This would be combining two restricted materials and is a no-no. You can keep it on the right hand (as it has no crushgaunt). As it stands, combining saber-resistant materials causes both items to lose their resistance.

Lightning Resistant
Phrik is metal, metal dust integrated into armorweave is extremely conductive to electricity. Insulating something has to do with layering the outside of it with a rubber or air-tight material to keep heat in or out, or in the case of electronics to keep static out and electricity in. It should be noted that while the insulated material may be flame or electrically resilient, it is not lightsaber resistant as the phrik armorweave - phrik armorweave would not be capable of being insulated as there is literally a dust of metal scattered throughout it that would make it superconductive (think of igniting a cloud of coal dust in comparison to a block of coal as far as how volatile it would be, the same is the case for a metal dust).

As noted there has been no activity for 72 hours now, this will be archived for such. If you wish to have this pulled out to be reviewed at a later date, please PM an Admin or RPJ to do so.
