  CHAPTER I​

  
  Recruited into the Empire while still in the midst of infancy, then known as the New Imperial Order, Veno operated from the shadows on behalf of the Iron Emperor. Rurik Fel had seen to it that Veno had been more aptly suited to the role of an assassin, possessing many skills that formed him into a most murderous operative.
  
  Upon the demise of Emperor Fel, however, the shadows that once concealed Veno had been cast with a blinding light. He could no longer remain relegated to the darkness behind Imperial bureaucracy. Forced into the role of a more active combatant, Veno was present in the downfall of his beloved Empire. As it was turned to dust and sent scattering in the wind, Veno felt it slip through his fingers. The memory of Rurik Fel was tarnished, stained with defeat.
  
  It never sat quite right with Veno.
  
  

  

  
  

  CHAPTER II​

  
  His latest operation foiled by Jedi intervention, Veno was taken prisoner. Sentenced for his multitude of crimes, he was placed inside a detention center for several years. In there, his time was spent isolated from other Imperials and spent alongside gangsters, low lives, and other dangerous individuals. Fighting was an inevitability, one that Veno did not always like.
  
  Small, but crafty. He made do.
  
  The SIA, however, elected to induct more questionable members into their ranks. In exchange for his freedom, Veno could serve the SIA. To do so with special devices made to terminate him, should he disobey, or otherwise become a rogue agent. At the very least, it was better than prison.
