Description: The Vector LAV is a Lght Armored Vehicle with heavy shielding designed to transport, command, and support a small infantry contingent. The vehicle is designed with advanced sensor and communications suites. The vehicle is designed to carry twenty combat troopers and is capable of being outfitted to carry droids. For defense the LAV has 6 Smoke Launchers capable of launching Laser Inhibiting smoke grenades to protect the craft in crisis. In addition it is equipped with a respectable shield. For offense the vehicle is lacking with only a single heavy variable speed laser cannon to keep enemies at bay. Like all turret mounted cannons of this type however the speed can be dialed down and the laser can benefit from the advanced detection arrays by using the laser cannon in a support role shooting down incoming enemy missiles with point defense fire.
For a further offensive punch the craft contains a single Raptor-class droid fighter. The diminutive droid is loaded above the infantrymen's heads and pushed sideways off its slider by a small mechanical arm. Once clear it initiates its repulsorlifts and engines and takes off. The drone is used mostly for recon and close support and is directed from the LAV itself via a network. However if the remote operator is killed the craft is still capable of independent operation based off its own design parameters.
The command variant of the craft carries no troops but instead hosts a number of monitors that receive data from units across the battlefield creating a holographic display inside of the vehicle for the commander to use to direct his troop movements.. Hypercomm transceivers and holonet communications along with a myriad of other equipment is in this module including a retractable MAD-51 sensor and standard array. All of these devices are fed into a main computer system to give situational awareness to the commander on a battlefield.
