Intent:

• Finally subbing a Lightsaber that was given to Amelia Sorenn-Syrush by Fiore de Noir after defeating and claiming the lightsaber from the Kel Dor Jedi Vas Oru - during the their tenure with the Templar Order which has since become defunct (with its remnants being absorbed into the Holy Order of the Righteous Flame which was recently reorganized into the Knights of the Pyre).

• Reach - The Long-Handled Lightsaber has a considerable reach when compared to other more standardized lightsaber hilts. Allowing the wielder to remain further from their opponent while still being capable of landing strikes.

• Fulcrum Effect - The length of the hilt permits a skilled wielder to spin the blade easily using their limbs or body as a fulcrum. By finding the center of the hilt and balancing it, the blade can be spun or swung around with greater ease.

• Reach - While the blade permits the wielder to keep an enemy at a further distance from themselves; if that enemy were to find a means to close the gap between the two individuals, then the wielder of the long-handled lightsaber would find themselves in trouble - either having to abandon the weapon - or find a means to fight a now more difficult battle by choking up on the hilt of the blade.

• Fulcrum Effect - As mentioned, to ensure the best outcome of this fighting style of spinning the long-handled lightsaber around on the wielder's own body, they must be a skilled practitioner in the use of the lightsaber, the fighting style - as well as having the aid of the force - to ensure no self harm when using the weapon in this way.

• Long-handle - Much like a double lightsaber, the long-handled lightsaber's hilt can be targeted and destroyed by another individual. If this happens, then the lightsaber ceases to function.

Vas Oru was a Male Kel Dor Jedi that had designed this lightsaber with a specific - and self created - fighting style in mind. The long-handle of the lightsaber was meant to provide a means for which the Kel Dor Jedi could spin the blade or otherwise use his body as a fulcrum for the weapon. While in his own time (through rigorous practice and training) he managed to become skilled at the use of this unique fighting style - it was still not enough to ensure his continued survival.

As mentioned previously, during their tenure with the Templar Order then the Holy Order of the Righteous Flame, Amelia Sorenn-Syrush utilized Fiore de Noir as a personal assassin. Vas Oru was one of the many Jedi that was felled at the end of the young woman's blade - likely losing his life due to the limitations of the weapon and unique fighting style - which saw Fiore claim the blade as a trophy.

With it being sent back to Amelia, it had become lost for some time before once more being found in a personal vault. Now it is likely to be seen hanging from Amelia's belt - wearing it openly - much as she does with Jathahr Mila's Lightsaber.
