PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Varro possesses the kind of beauty that was cultivated rather than inherited. Tall, athletic, and meticulously groomed, his appearance was shaped by years of being treated as a luxury possession rather than a person. His emerald skin is largely unscarred, a rarity among slaves, as owners preferred their investment to remain aesthetically pleasing. Intricate natural markings run across his shoulders, chest, and arms, giving him an almost sculpted appearance.

His lekku are long and well-maintained, often adorned with subtle jewelry when required by his owner. Sharp features, striking yellow-green eyes, and a perpetually composed expression make him easy to underestimate. Beneath the elegance, however, lies a physique conditioned through years of training, discipline, and survival.

Varro favors simple but well-tailored clothing whenever he is allowed to choose his own attire. Even in plain garments, he carries himself with the grace and posture drilled into him since childhood.

INVENTORY

• Assorted fine clothing provided by his current owner.
• Decorative jewelry and accessories gifted or assigned by previous masters.
• Personal grooming kit.
• Small collection of keepsakes secretly retained from previous owners.
• No personal property of significant value; legally, nearly everything he possesses belongs to someone else.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Varro is polite, observant, and exceptionally difficult to read. Years of training taught him to anticipate moods, desires, and dangers before they were spoken aloud. He has become a master of subtle manipulation, not through malice, but survival. Knowing what people want often keeps him alive.

Despite his outward obedience, Varro possesses a quiet intelligence and an inner life few ever see. He rarely voices his true opinions and has learned that secrets are often more valuable than credits.

He struggles with the concept of freedom. Many slaves dream of liberation, but Varro has spent so much of his life being owned that the prospect is both alluring and terrifying. The structure of servitude is familiar. Independence is not.

Deep down, he believes that every person wears a mask. His own simply happens to be more practiced than most.

STRENGTHS
  • Master of Etiquette: Trained from childhood to navigate courts, estates, and social gatherings. He understands protocol, manners, and social expectations across a wide variety of cultures.
  • Observant: Notices details that others overlook, particularly changes in mood, body language, and interpersonal dynamics.
  • Graceful and Athletic: Maintains excellent physical conditioning, flexibility, and coordination.
  • Social Chameleon: Can adapt his behavior and presentation to suit nearly any audience or situation.
  • Patient Survivor: Years of captivity have given him remarkable emotional endurance and self-control.

WEAKNESSES
  • Conditioned Obedience: Decades of training make it difficult for him to openly defy authority figures, particularly owners or individuals who remind him of them.
  • Poor Combatant: While physically fit, Varro has received little meaningful combat training and is vulnerable in direct confrontations.
  • Identity Crisis: Much of his self-worth has been tied to pleasing others. Determining who he truly is remains a constant struggle.
  • Fear of Abandonment: Being repeatedly bought and sold has left deep emotional scars. He forms attachments carefully and fears being discarded once more.
  • Possessive Environment: Many people view him as an object of beauty rather than a person, creating dangerous situations he often cannot escape through force.

HISTORY

Varro never knew freedom.

Born into slavery, he entered the galaxy as property. His earliest memories are not of family or home, but of lessons. Speech. Posture. Etiquette. Dance. Conversation. Grooming. Obedience. While other slaves were trained for labor, Varro was raised for a different purpose. From childhood, he was molded into a personal companion whose value rested in refinement, beauty, and his ability to anticipate the desires of those who owned him.

His first Master regarded him as an investment. The second treated him as a trophy. Others saw him as entertainment, decoration, confidant, servant, or status symbol. Through each sale, Varro learned a painful lesson: owners changed, expectations changed, but he remained property.

Years passed in luxurious estates, private yachts, and opulent residences. He witnessed political intrigues, criminal dealings, secret romances, and bitter betrayals. While owners came and went, Varro endured by listening more than speaking and remembering more than anyone realized.

Each transaction chipped away at any illusion that he belonged anywhere. He became valuable, certainly. Desired, often. Respected, occasionally. But never free.

Eventually, after yet another exchange of credits and signatures, Varro found himself transferred into the possession of Xygrit Sizhran.

Whether this latest owner will be merely another chapter in an endless cycle or the beginning of something entirely different remains to be seen.

For now, Varro continues to do what he has always done.

Observe.

Adapt.

Survive.
