Rationale: Varad Designs is the creation of Clan Varad of the Mandalorians to supply that Clan with weaponry apart from what is mass produced by the Mandalorians

Description: Varad Designs is the product of the Mandalorian Varad Clan. The Varad Clan being extremely mercenary in nature had sought a way to provide their own members with new arms and equipment to suit their needs apart from those manufactured by larger corporations servicing the Mandalorains. As such Clan Varad has funded a small operation on the planet of Junction in Mandalorian controlled space. Junction was chosen due to being a tradeworld that was populace enough to support a small independent company while allowing it to remain relatively outside the influence of larger companies based on Mandalore and other populace worlds.
All arms and armor made by Varad Designs are produced on a minor scale. Being a small company the weapons made are far more likely to be seen outfitting independent contractors, mercenaries, special military units or members of Clan Varad and their allies. Mandalorians, in general, also have access to the equipment created by Varad Designs however it's unlikely that mass amounts of troops would be outfitted with them unless the weapons were produced with the assistance of a larger manufacturer. On average, based on its own facilities on Junction, Varad Designs can only produce in the hundreds of thousands of its arms in a standard year which is relatively small on the galactic scale.
Aside from its primary function supplying Clan Varad with new weaponry Varad Designs is intended to create a reliable, if minor, amount of credits that can then be funneled back into the Clan for various purposes. Hence they will humor private manufacturing requests and are available to deal with almost every faction with the general rule of thumb being that Varad Designs will not sell to any faction that has poor relations with the Mandalorians thus restrictions change along with the political ties to different factions.
