Private Vampire’s Heart

Telani stood in the rainy weather, normally she’d be displaying a lot of skin but she was currently clad in a long, hooded cloak to keep herself dry. Less due to the fact that she was bothered by water, she wasn’t, but mostly because being wet tended to hinder one’s ability to remain undetected. So she would leave the cloak behind once she was inside, probably going to stuff it into a corner or behind a chair to keep it hidden whilst she searched the building for something dear to its owner, an object or a person.

If it were to be a person, Telani would take them, but place herself between them and Ravenous, collateral damage was something she was going to avoid at all times, which is why just burning it down was going to be a last resort, or at least until she was certain that there was no one else I needed the house.

So she watched, and waited.

Elise ran her hand along the wall, flipping the switch to the hallway as she walked up stairs. A rainy day usually meant no visitors, who, with Saleucami now border SJC space, were in greater supply then usual. A few of the orders more scholar like Jedi stopping by the still rural world to converse and learn from the odd women, her Identity as a Vampire still secret to most.

Today though Elise had decided to retire earlier then usual moving back to her study upstairs, rummaging around the desks draws and pulling out the information's that Nimdok had given her during their last meeting. Now would be any good of a time to skim through the stuff found from that base, what was the Dark Jedi trying to hide? Or was it just some typical 'no it's mine, go away' shenanigans.

Either way a little light reading never hurt anyone.

(Hey, I know it's been a while, but are you still interested? I'm really sorry for not replying.)

A light, in the upper floor. At least that told her 'where' the inhabitant was, and that meant she had most other rooms to enter the house with so long as she was quiet. Luckily for her, she could be very quiet when she wanted to be. So she got closer. There was a little bit of a problem, if she were at all wet when she got into the house then she'd leave a trail and give her presence away. So she'd need to dry off somehow before she entered the house, but without getting back into the rain. Quite the challenge. To fix this she would take off her boots before going in, not only would that prevent water trails, but socks were far better at silence than boots or bare feet.

She managed to get to the roof without any noise, and from there she'd look around for an entrance that would serve her purpose.

(Can you DM the area, I don't know the house. XD )

Though the rain did keep one silent, it didn't fully mask eveything. Though Elise couldn't sense it just yet any intruder would probably peak her sense of smell. Still for the moment she was unaware of the twi'lek on her roof, the women indulging herself in the note her new lover had provided. Sitting at her desk in the study along with the varying new items she had been given and her more dangerous artifacts.

Finding a suitable window Telani carefully opened it up and stepped inside, removing the cloak and her shoes to leave her in just her socks, which would silence her feet. She put both items under nearby furniture and began to creep through the house. Her footfalls were silent, and her lightsabers always within reach of her, so that she might cut the inhabitant down if she had to. Frankly she and her employer Ravenous had been having a hard time getting along. Just as she had watched the Sith go too far by ordering the killing of children, so too did she see his indifference with the lives of innocent people who were incapable of defending themselves even partially. So if this mission came to threaten people who weren't involved, she would abort.

However, this inhabitant, Elise, had proven to be an enemy to her employer and by extension her. She'd prefer to avoid killing her, but she wouldn't shy away from it.

As she sat at her desk an unfamiliar scent wafted in, out here in the country side the smell of a Twi'lek from off world was fairly different from the wooden carpet and grassy outside. Keeping a calm manner Elise shifted to the side, moving to grasp her old Jedi lightsaber, keeping an eye on the door to the study. "Either that other girl is back, an animal got in or I have another visitor, perhaps today will be interesting".

So, she would wait, trying to anticipate what said person would do, after all this was a museum of sorts, she wasn't about to go all force blasting the walls out to try and find said intruder.

She had a bad feeling. She wasn't sure why but she had a bad feeling that this mission was about to go south. She reached to her hip and grabbed one of her lightsabers, she had a feeling she'd need it soon. But regardless she kept moving, looking for what appeared to be a computer or hard drive. The primary goal was to get the data that they'd taken from Ravenous out of their hands, maybe some form of illegal demolition or vandalism.

She'd continue to move as quietly as possible, not only to remain undetected but also so that she could hear anyone getting close.

Who ever was inside had caught onto her presence or a feeling in the force, their movements becoming slower from what she sensed. At the very leas tit confirmed that this was indeed an intruder will ill intents, herself grasping her old saber in hand and walking to the door to her study, using the force to heaft it open. Her gaze shifting down the hallway to try and meet who ever it was creeping through the house.

She heard the footsteps and sensed danger approaching quickly. Leaping upwards several feet she shot into full splits and clung to the ceiling while the door opened, she removed her other lightsaber from her belt, this was going to get ugly. She could tell. So she was ready to activate either lightsaber in an instant, while she retained the element of surprise. It was going south really quickly, she wasn't sure if at this rate she'd be able to get any of her objectives done at all.

Of course the intruder would hide, it made sense, though it meant she could have a little fun. "Ah, so you are a sneaky thief, hiding in the shadows, waiting for me to drop my guard". "I wonder who sent you? another Sith trying to get an easy score to please their master? Or just a wanabe force user, which one it is"? Her tone clearly in a taunting manner, Elise moving around with her arms open, more or less welcoming some sort of attack.

Telani didn't answer. Frankly she didn't need to. Silence spoke louder than the voice in many cases, and she saw no need to dignify her enemy with a response. That's not to say that she wasn't angry, no, she encouraged her enemy's words to provoke anger, the angrier she got, the stronger she got. To the point where she had put Ravenous into a stalemate after slaughtering his crew. He had warned her about this woman though, how did he describe her, a vampire was it? If She remembered correctly, this woman fed off of force power, which meant this would be an even more interesting mission than the one that sent her after Nimdok.

She did however bring out her second lightsaber, and prepared to ignite it. You know what. Fuck it.

Her lightsabers lit up, the twin red blades lighting up the ceiling above her target as she went to leap to her opponent's back before charging in and taking a few swipes at her.

Well, her opponent was smart at the lest, though she did feel like her words at the least got their attention. Elise pacing around the hallways, her emerald saber lit up as he feet pressed against the ground. "You can't hide forever, even if I can't sense you with the force your smell is potent, your not human, Twi'lek perhaps? Or a similar race"? A playful smile appearing across her face, a sudden slip in the wind above her alerting Elise to their precance, followed by the signature sound and light of a light saber being swung.

Elise slipping her blade behind her back to block the incoming blows before spinning back, holding her weapon out in a defensive stance, getting a gaze upon the red skinned women. "I suppose you are not one to talk before fighting"?

( Elise Ike Elise Ike , No sweat.)

She still didn't reply, her entire focus being on taking this woman down. She would avoid killing her if she could, but ultimately if it came down to it, she'd die. She was supposed to take something of value to this woman away and lure her to Ravenous. But if that was impossible, simply cause as much damage as possible. Ultimately she should be able to beat her.

She forced Ravenous into a stalemate, and she was told that it took her and two others to get what they wanted and get out alive, this woman may have been the powerhouse of that trio, but even so, she doubted that she'd be able to beat her alone. Not when she and Ravenous were on par so far as power was concerned, biggest difference between them was endurance, Telani could last longer, which is what made her the bigger threat.

She brought her lightsabers to bear. swinging fast, precise and angry. The two red blades appearing as whirlwinds as Telani advanced.

Elise wasn't certain of this women's power, in her prime several centuries ago she could have easily removed this threat, but her relatively peaceful life the last 800 years meant she was a bit out of practice. Herself keeping on the defensive as the Twi'lek came forwards with the rapidly fast swings, herself able to feel the anger behind them as she parried each blow. Though she specialized in Makashi and could keep with the flow of the fight Djem So would have been a better style to use against such a flurry of attack, herself unable to find a good opening, Elise gritting her teeth as her lips parted, but not to simply speak. A deafening force scream existing her mouth, directed towards the Twi'lek, if not to force her back at least stun the women to allowed herself to get in a thrust aimed at the women's left calf.

Well, she wasn't expecting that. But, she'd dealt with sonics before. She remembered when she'd been brought aboard Ravenous's ship he tried using a high frequency sound to disable her, and she figured the same solution she had then would work here too. She was thrown back as intended, but she let the pain feed her anger, and her anger feed her power, then using that power she let out a torrent of force lightning straight at her opponent, and to the area around her too to cover the whole corridor and prevent her opponent from advancing at the very least. Immediately upon stopping her onslaught, regardless of her opponent's reaction, she'd simply charge in again and start up the flurry of blows she'd been delivering before.

(Hey, summer's gonna be busy for me, replies will basically be as slow as they have been now, just asking you to please be patient.)

Perhaps her choice wasn't the best, she could feel the anger coming off her opponent. The twi'lek was a raw incarnate of the Sith code, pure anger and power, she was certainly strong that much could be stated. She couldn't help but wonder if this person would go down the road of being corrupted by the dark side, that would be a sight to behold.

As the flurry of sabers came towards her Elise once more leaped back, her hands moving out this time as a hail of force lighting crackled from her palms. The dark purple tendrils filling the corridor as she blasted it towards her opponent. If the Twi'lek wanted to use brute force she would oblige, if but in her own way. Fortunately her strength in the force was not somthing that lessened over time like her lightsaber skills.

That worked a little better, she, having spent most of her accumulated anger thus far in her own torrent of lightning, didn't have enough left to block or deflect the thunderwave sent her way, and two lightsabers wouldn't cut it. She let out a scream as she was hit by the burning power, and took a few steps back as she did. One good thing though, pain made her angry, which gave her power, she might just be able to break the lightning after a few moments from the power her agony gave her. But until then her opponent had an opportunity to attack.
