Description: Houses along Morning Oak and several blocks around were part of the second phase of construction. This two story single family home has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, a small office, kitchen along with a great room which serves as both dining and living rooms, respectively. Entry at the front, down behind the home a two speeder garage. The home has a balcony and open air patio as well.
History: The Oaks is a premiere housing development now in the seventh and final phase of construction. Development for the Oaks was funded by the Kallea Family Housing Association with construction provided for by the Curovao Construction Company. The Oaks represent those who wish to maintain the lifestyle of a modest upper-class family, the Homeowner’s Association fee ensures that the various clubs and golf courses throughout the development are well maintained. The Oaks is located in beautiful Verdant Bluffs with easy access to the skyway and ground travel as well, children attend schools in Verdant-Taruso-Heights Independent School District.
The Walden Oaks Elementary serves children in grades PK3 - 5, Katia Bouazza Middle School serves children who live in the Oaks, grades 6 - 8, and children here then attend either Sirona High School which is the general High School here for grades 9 through 12. Or, the Mae Jemison School of Medicine and Science - a health and science careers focused school for ages thirteen through nineteen, please see your child's guidance counselor for further information. Grace Hopper School of Programming, a school focused for those interested in computer science and engineering this is a very competitive school for ages thirteen through nineteen. The Olive Dennis School of Engineering are for children interested in engineering and all of its various disciplines, and then there is the trade school, sponsored by the Okeefe family, Okeefe Center for Trade Education this school is for children ages sixteen through twenty-one. Children must have completed at least two years of their secondary education at one of the aforementioned schools.
Local supermarkets include Cormond Super Foods, Curovao Market and Jo'uda's. Neighboring Taruso Park hosts the Heights in the Park Farmer's Market every week. Shuttles are provided from the Oaks to the Market for an additional fee through your homeowner's association subscription package. Western Heights Mall is also nearby along with the Cormond Heights Outdoor Shopping Center. Phamarcy's include Okeefe Pharmacy, and Rufigioni Drug Mart. Simo's General Store, and Bratho Mart is also within driving distance of the Oaks.
Along with golf courses, the Oaks has clubhouses that members can rent for parties or gatherings, tennis courts, basketball courts and fitness centers along with swimming pools and sled parks during the winter.
