[+]Pilot: Valerie is an exceptional pilot. She first learned to fly upon entering the Anaxes War College and quickly found she had a natural talent for piloting smaller fighter craft and transports. She is well versed in the operation of everything from TIE Fighters to X-wings, and is more than capable of handling even larger ships. She's often proved she's more than capable of matching most other pilots in The Empire. Though she's far from the best, Valerie is still learning and becoming better.

[+]Special Forces: Though not as innate as her piloting skills, Valerie has gone through several aspects of special forces training. She is well versed in the use of most blasters, explosives, and several forms of martial arts. This training allows her to evenly match most soldiers in the field of combat, though she wasn't exactly at the top of her class during training.

[-]Burns: During an accident at the Anaxes War College Valerie received severe burns to the middle of her back. A remnant of these burns survive as an extremely tender patch of skin to the right of her spine. Though not an issue in her day to day activities, nor a hindrance in combat, the burns are extremely sensitive. A touch to the burn feels like fire against the skin, a strike? Much worse.

[-]Zealotry: Taking after her sister, Valerie is very much blinded by The Empire. Even growing up partially under the Alliance, Valerie believes in the ideals and thoughts of the Empire. At her core she is diligently against certain freedoms, rights, the force, and the equality of species. This limited worldview often leads to conflict between herself and others.

By most accounts Valerie is a beautiful young woman, a fact that she both knows and exploits.

Much of how Valerie carries herself is consciously put together. She walks with her shoulders straight, back stiff, and eyes up. Her stare is a cold one, though made warm by even the slightest inclination of her lips. The way that she moves is lithe and liquid, almost as though she were floating on air. Even while wearing her uniform it is clear that Valerie holds herself to a certain standard, one that must always be followed.

In her flightsuit Valerie is much the same animal, holding herself to the same standard. In an odd sort of way it is possible to identify her even out of a line up of other pilots, mostly because of the way she holds herself in regard.

The raven black hair that hangs around her shoulders is always cared for, and the slight make-up on her face is always placed to perfection even though she should have no time for it. Valerie knows others find her attractive, and she uses these looks as both a distraction and a way to get what she wants. Though she's never overt about these tactics, those who watch her closely would be able to figure it out easily enough.

Valerie was born into the Rein family of Anaxes. For countless years the Reins had been a part of the military order upon Anaxes, members of the family having participated in The Old Republic, Galactic Empire, and even Galactic Alliance. Though never rising to the rank of Moff or or Grand Admiral, the Reins have dozens of Captains, Commanders, Rear Admirals, and other mid-ranking members among them.

For centuries the Reins have attended and trained at the Anaxes War College, their Legacy being well maintained throughout the years and their loyal service to both Anaxes and the governments that controlled it being well marked.

Though the Reins themselves have never been overtly political, the family does have a habit of shifting from side to side every few generations. This shift comes about as both a reality of the galactic civilization, as well as the upbringing and experiences of certain members of the family. After the Gulag Plague the Reins held themselves to no particular government or entity, instead holding loyalty to only Anaxes itself.

It was during the rise of the One Sith that this changed.

Once conquered by the Dark Lord and his ilk, Anaxes and it's war College fell under the yolk of Imperial Control. During this time Valerie's sister Boan attended the War College. Upon her graduation the young woman joined the One Sith Navy, and it was here that the Rein's political allegiances began to shift. Lead by their young daughter, the Rein family supported Anaxes Imperial government, providing funds and ensuring that future generations would attend the college.

With Boan's rise to the rank of Admiral, and her dedication to the Empire, it was more than obvious that her career would bring great fortune to the family.

Unfortunately her disappearance around the arrival of the new Galactic Alliance was a marked end to this path.
Though no one within the family knows what occurred to the Boan, many, including Valerie, assume she met her end at the hands of the Galactic Alliance. This belief fostered a deep hatred within the Reins for the Alliance and indeed Jedi as a whole, and it was in this environment that Valerie grew up in.

The young woman, being ten years her sisters Junior, was only a teenager when her sister died.

Throughout most of her life Valerie had shown no inclination towards following the same path as her sister. Instead the young woman enjoyed the other trappings of Anaxian society, attending formal dances, mingling with other nobles, and simply taking part in the upper rungs of Society. At the time many called her vapid, naive, and perhaps even a little stupid. Yet this all changed upon the supposed death of her sister.

It was Boans passing that spurred new life into Valerie. Upon the news reaching her family Valerie did not feel the same sort of despair or sadness that the others felt. She did not cry nor weep, instead she felt only rage.

Anger and anger alone pushed her forward. Anger towards the Jedi, the Alliance, and the disorder that they had brought. She saw their works as little more than disrupting the peace that the One Sith had brought to her world, and in her naivety she began to set herself upon a path. Within weeks of hearing the news of her sisters death Boan joined the Anaxes War College system and began her training.

She discovered her talents in piloting, her mind for strategy, and her propensity for abstract thought. Yet it was also during this time that the Alliance came to Anaxes, and upon their 'liberation' she learned another skill; lying.

Valerie kept her anger hidden, her rage inside, and her motivations to herself. She pushed and pressed, learned as much as she could, and never showed why. Graduating several years later Valerie had been groomed for and been offered a position in the Alliance Navy. It was only then that finally Valerie made her intentions known, departing Anaxes on the same day as her graduation and fleeing Alliance territory.

She headed towards the Galactic South, using her families connections and wealth to come in contact with members of The Lost.

It was there that she joined up intending to fight where and when she could.
