Flak: Designed to create shrapnel by the thousands, the Valencia is meant to make being a starfighter pilot, a living nightmare.
Range: While effective at long range and beyond, it is an ineffective weapon in standard or close range combat due to the timed fuzes.
Built after the Covenator, the Valencia is a larger caliber of shell that is set to forty-four seconds as opposed to forty-three and has less traverse and different range of elevation than the Covenator. It also comes standard with a quad barrel design as opposed to the twin gun style of the 94mm cannon. Outside of the few differences, the two guns are largely the same and function in the same manner.
The idea was to have a gun that could fire farther than the 94mm to create a larger pocket of flak, and layer the pockets making it that much more difficult for enemy starfighters and even missiles to get through the shrapnel. Built-in Ionization fields aid the weapon’s overall impact on the enemy.
What befalls the earlier model of flak driver, so too befalls the Valencia with both range and design.
