STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+Swordsmanship: As a noble of Alderaan, Valin was taught in the time honored tradition of swordsmanship, being trained under many tutors. He also fished in the black market for lost holographs of Jedi combat to study his enemy.
+Nobility: Because he was born into the Ducal House of Frayus, Valin is entitled to all that comes with that. The wealth, the political power, and the charisma of being a leader over its vassal houses.
-Force Hatred: With both his past and his open support of House Syrush and the Order of the Righteous Flame, it is fairly apparent that the young Duke of Frayus has a immense hatred of Force Users. So much so that he only thing tolerates them when they are of higher Alderaanian nobility, such as members of Royal House Organa.
-The Fire That Lingers: Despite his scars healing, the injuries still act up and cause him pain. So much so that he receives dosages of painkillers every so often to keep the pain created by his injuries at bay.
-The Scarred Flesh: Due to the severity of the scar tissue, reconstructive surgery to correct Valin’s deformity is a moot point. Thus, Valin must deal with the negative social implications that come with having such damaged features.
APPEARANCE:
Valin is a youthful man in his early thirties. He has short, brown hair, blue eyes, and light skin. The right side of his face is scarred, due to an accident long ago.
BIOGRAPHY:
Thirty-three standard years ago, young Valin Frayus was born to the previous Duke, Mircea Frayus. His mother was a Miraluka woman by the name of Voica Radan, a former follower of the Jedi Order before deciding to leave the Jedi after falling deeply in love with Valin's father. The young ducal heir was raised in relative comfort, spending much time in the court of his father, learning the arts of politics needed to succeed his father should the day come. Despite being part Miraluka, young Valin was born with a perfect set of two eyes. The then-Count Valin also tended to spend time with his mother, having a slightly closer relationship with her than with his father.
Tragedy would eventually strike his family. During voyage that place the family's ship nearthe One Sith's borders at the time, their ship was savagely attacked by young Sith Apprentices in search of nothing more than to satiate their bloodlust. Both of his parents died by crimson blades, and the young heir was severely burned by a fire created during the commotion. Fortunately, Valin escaped in one of the escape pods before drifting into unconsciousness from his injuries. The first thing we awoke to were Jedi and Galactic Republic personnel watching him inside of a bacta tank. The burns he had received had proven too grievous to attempt reconstructive surgery, only allowed to heal into deformed scars. Once healed enough, he made an appeal to the Jedi to seek justice against the murderers, but the Jedi only saw vengeance in the youth's eyes -- a clear violation of their Code. It was at this moment that Valin began harboring a resentment to Force Users.The Sith had butchered his family, and the Jedi did nothing to seek the justice they deserved.
After healing to a point of functionality, Valin departed back to Alderaan, now the rightful Duke of House Frayus. He kept his resentment of the Force over the years since, go to the extremes of even choosing to disassociate himself from his connection to the Force granted by his Miraluka heritage. It was when heard of the rise of [member="Amelia Sorenn-Syrush"] and her Order, he gladly joined as a knight and public supporter. Along with this devotion to a cleansing flame, he ratified the old Frayus coat of arms, now depicting a white-grey field with a red dragon snarling forth.
Recently, upon hearing of the Zenithian Imperium and its mission, has defected from The Order in support of this new Major faction in the Galaxy.
