STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Improviser: Vale has learned the value of being able to improvise on the fly. Even the best plans can be thrown off course by a simple factor. Instead of letting that ruin the entire plan, he is quick on his feet at adapting to new situations. He is constantly assessing the situation whether it is job related or social and will make changes accordingly.
+ Humility: Unlike many young pilots, Vale was taught the value of humility at a young age. His parents had instilled a strong sense of respect and humility as a child and it has carried him far, allowing him to self evaluate himself effectively. This in turn has allowed him to focus on developing and working on his skills effectively.
+ Loyal to the Death: Loyalty is one of his major character traits, once he is committed to a person, a team, a cause, he is extremely loyal and will do all within his power to serve them to the end.
+/- Initiative: When given the opportunity, Vale is the first among his peers to volunteer for extra tasks or responsibility. He has seen firsthand the benefits of taking the initiative when others prefer to wait and see. This has served him well but has also landed him with the reputation of being willing to take on tasks that no one else wants to do or others deem too unimportant. Because of this, he has been looked over in the past for some of the more prestigious assignments.
- Quick to Anger: Despite his humble attitude, Vale is quick to anger when antagonized. This temper has gotten him in more than one brawl. Thankfully he usually has friends along to back him up.
- Bottles Up His Emotions: Vale has become an expert at putting his emotions on standby till after an event/situation. This allows him to act under high stress conditions as if he were doing something as simple as going for a stroll in the park though it has a wicked after-effect. Sometimes his emotions well up and he will react in strange ways.
- Over-Zealous: Vale has been known to fight dirty, even willing to take a few hits himself as long as he can destroy the enemy. This played out once during a training exercise (Thankfully while in simulation only) where he disabled his own ship in order to completely destroy the enemy. He had carefully calculated the risk and determined that his ship would only become disabled, not destroyed during the maneuver.
APPEARANCE:
Vale is of average height and thin build. He stands 5'9'' and weighs in at about 155 lbs. While thin, he is a strong fighter, his muscle tone quite dense due to his intense physical regimen as a pilot. His hair is a dusty brown, contrasting with his fair skin and pale blue eyes.
BIOGRAPHY:
Vale grew up on Naboo, son of an farmer and his wife. Growing up on a farm wasn't easy, he was often tasked with manual labor tasks due to his age as well as when harvesting season came about he contributed in operating some of the heavy machinery. During one of their trips into the main capitol on business with his father, he caught sight of a formation of starfighters practicing maneuvers. The way they arced and flew through the air intrigued him. It was all he could talk about as they returned home.
The years went by, Vale was no less intrigued, each year his interest growing. When he was old enough to learn how to pilot a speeder, his parents couldn't keep him off of it. Vale had fallen in love with machines, specifically flying machines. Vale continued to learn as much as he could about flying, talking off pilot's ears when he went into the spaceport with his father. As he grew older, he would spend more and more time there when he could. It was only so long before he was old enough to start flying and he began to make trips into the spaceport by himself.
As soon as he was old enough, he immediately began working jobs that allowed him to fly in atmosphere, the skills he was learning only fueling the flames that ate at him. He wanted to fly in space, the holo-vids of starfighters in space... they were so nimble, dancing among the stars as they turned and spun together in unison. The dream of flying a starfighter followed him into adulthood, though it was put on hold temporarily...
For a while, things got rough, the farm's assets were slowly sold off as profits dipped and a drought settled in. Eventually some familys couldn't afford to live in their homes, moving inward to the cities to work in the factories. Many of the families Vale knew had felt the pinch as their profits dropped. Vale dreamed of one day being able to contribute and help his family and his people... and once he was able, he signed on with the Naboo Starfighter Corps, part of the local defense force. Not only could he help his family by providing a stable income, but he could finally fulfill his dream. During his limited time with the defense force, he excelled at his studies as well as his skill in piloting. Due to his exposure to speeder and in atmosphere flight at a young age, he found space flight to be almost second nature to him.
After living for years under Techno Union rule, the Galactic Alliance had liberated the planet. While the dust still settled from the liberation, he'd already signed on with the Galactic Alliance as a fighter pilot. He'd had plenty of experience over the last few years and he didn't know what to do with himself. He had grown bored with the defense force, only truly getting to fly whenever they'd had parades or the routine un-eventful patrol. He longed for more adventure, the Galactic Alliance was his opportunity to find it... and the offers of pay they'd made didn't hurt either.
This is where the new chapter of his life began...
