Vaelithra isn't her true name.
The real name of the tortured and twisted soul beneath the pale and delicate complexion of such a creature was lost to time. However, echoes within the Chaos speak of a young adult woman. A human, brave enough...or desperate enough to make a deal with the ancient horror that manifested beyond. The very fabric of time and space, even the infinite cosmos was torn open. A filament shattered between worlds that ushered the one true name of the first to pass into the void-less domain.
Nalara Vey.
It was forgotten almost as much as the very destruction that brought her the fate of such a horrific end. Wars had caused it, but those responsible in the decimation of her own homeworld continued on with their lives...but Nalara Vey, could not.
The death of her two children had demoralized the young adult into a spiraling, out of control status of depression. There was nothing...not even the very last love of her life that could rip her out of the tumultuous darkness that took her heart. In the face of all that was lost, Nalara Vey woke to the sound of something foreign, an insidious pinprick of heavy curiosity forced her into the midnight rubble from the war that took her sons. Tears began to trickle down her face when she rose past the massive pile of stone and dirt, hundreds more burning and screaming in the far off distances. Hues of vibrant red, green and yellow clashing over the cliffside of her world. The Sith and Jedi had taken everything. Everything and more.
Sadness became anger. Anger became madness. Madness became Chaos.
Then, the festering tides of the beyond grasped at her and the dying souls of those below began to manifest the first wound. Ripples of the force sheered away, dissipating and freezing everything around her. A ghastly maw tearing through the thin layer between her world and the newly created rift. Nalara's eyes widened in awe. She considered for a moment of what transpired, but her sadness and grief of her loss began to make excuses for her.
My sons...they could...have...gone through. I have to find them!
They are dead.
NO!
YES!!! But the only way to be sure is to step INSIDE.
The new voice infiltrated her mind, pulled at her vulnerability and Nalara stepped through into a new unknown domain.
Only to become the First Heretic.

+ The Gift of the Hollow: Ever hear the saying; make a deal with the devil?
The Hollowed Saint is capable of bargaining with others in order to grant them unnatural abilities drawn from her very own chaotic dimension that she comes from. Of course, this exchange always demands something of those who decide to make the deal. This can be in the form of flesh, pain, loss, sacrifice, memories and other forms of disparaging choices for the contract to be paid. This can be incredibly dangerous, given that many who receive the gift fall prey to the very chaos they invited into their hearts. This is one of her greatest advantages as she doesn't necessarily have to kill anyone; instead she can just create more monster-like followers like herself.
+ Chaotic Adaptation of the Damned: Vaelithra is no longer entirely biological. Energy from the rift of her domain have fused flesh, bone, cybernetics, and magic altogether. This adaptation has allowed an ashen, shell-like hard layer of protection to secure the vulnerable body underneath. Parts of the Nether can be unstable and unpredictable, so in kind, her body can cause claws to grow, tendrils of dark energy to be summoned, and dimensional rifts to open for travel between short or long distances. (not teleportation, more so being pulled into a thin tear of reality. Overuse can cause unknown side-effects.)
+ Rift-Born Sorcery: Not a lot is known of Vaelithra's power, nor her domain. However, due to the very nature of her existence being from the chaos realm and feeding off the nether, she has an aptitude for dark magic. Calling on the power of her domain, Vaelithra, is able to manipulate shadows in many different ways. She is also able to create brief doorways out of thin air to use for closing gaps or evasion. Lastly, Vaelithra is capable of manifesting unnatural phenomena while utilizing the source of her power to summon creatures of her domain to fight for her.
+ Rift Sight: The First Heretic can perceive things that exist partially outside normal space. This allows her to see fractures in reality and hidden energy. While she does not understand the force like others, this ability does allow her to sense disturbances in the force as disruptions in reality. The drawback to this particular strength is the uncertainty of it's results. The more intensely she uses her rift sight, the more likely she is to see things that aren't actually happening or things that haven't happened yet. This could make her prophetic, but in the end, Vaelithra might cause more dangerous and impulsive decisions based on the inaccuracy of its use. -
- The Rift's Hunger: Every time she draws deeply upon her extra-dimensional power, the entity within her gains more influence. Overuse can trigger uncontrolled mutations, hallucinations, or temporary loss of control. Her greatest source of power is therefore also slowly consuming her identity.
- The Remnants of Nalara: The woman she once was hasn't completely disappeared. Memories, emotional attachments, and reminders of Nalara can destabilize her concentration and potentially disrupt her connection to the Rift. The more personal the memory, the more difficult it is for her to suppress.
- Rift Dependency: Her supernatural abilities are strongest near dimensional disturbances or locations touched by her domain. In areas completely isolated from the Rift, her connection weakens considerably, limiting abilities such as Riftstep, Shadow Communion, and her more powerful manifestations. It takes a tremendous amount of time for her to create new rifts, unless something severely traumatic happens in the influenced area, that can manifest a rift without much effort. This makes war or invasions an exceptional source to expand her powers.
- The Cost of Unveiling: Her True Rift Form makes her dramatically more powerful, but maintaining it accelerates the loss of control between Nalara and the entity within her. Remaining transformed for too long can leave her physically exhausted, mentally unstable, or unable to immediately return to her Host Form.

Umbrakinesis | Shadow Communion: As a being of the rift, Vaelithra has a exceptional connection to anything dark. Specifically in this sense, the stretching shadows of the world. Being able to command shadows, create beasts from them and use them as a deadly form of power gives Vaelithra an extreme mastery over the embrace of darkness.

Pact of the Damned: The Hollow Saint has the ability to grant power through a pact. This allows Vaelithra to extend fragments of her own power dwelling inside her to another person. Those that accept such a gift may experience unnatural resilience, enhanced senses, altered cybernetics, accelerated healing, heightened strength or unknown abilities depending on the nature of the bargain.

The Unveiling (Host Form → True Rift Form): The Hollow Saint normally exists in what can best be described as a Host Form. This form is the closest thing she has to a stable identity—the remaining shape of the woman she once was, fused with the living presence that crossed through the Rift with her. Though already unnatural, she retains a recognizable humanoid form, allowing her to move among mortals, speak with them, and conceal the true extent of what lives within her. But when pushed to her limits—or when she willingly surrenders control—the entity bound within her is allowed to surface. Her body does not simply transform. She opens. The hollow within her expands as flesh fractures and gives way to black chitin, exposed bone, living machinery, elongated limbs, massive wings, and writhing shadows. In this True Rift Form, her physical power, resilience, regeneration, and connection to the Rift dramatically increase. The longer she remains transformed, however, the less control she retains. The question is never whether she can survive the transformation. It is whether she will still be herself when it ends.

Rift Step: The Hollow Saint briefly tears through the boundary of reality, disappearing into shadow and reemerging moments later from another point nearby. Each use leaves behind a fleeting distortion of darkness—and brings her just a little closer to the Rift that waits within. (Limited use or dire consequences)

Predatory Combat Instincts: Over the infinite years inside the dimensional rift of chaos, one would have to hone an immeasurable amount of patience and precision when fighting an opponent of the rift. Vaelithra constantly has learned to study her foes movements, weaknesses, and habits. Rather than pure brute force, she carefully waits for mistakes and exploits with ruthless efficiency. Her light-footed approach provides a graceful dance that in turn becomes deceptive and explosive at sudden parts of confrontation with her adversary. Due to this fighting style, she is massively dangerous in close-quarters combat.

Bio-organic weapon mastery: Every Heretic needs a weapon, for the first; she can transform her physiology into a weapon itself. Typically manifestations come in the form of claws, weaponized limbs, tails growing spikes, and tendrils that can all be coordinated into vicious attacks. This allows for quick stance and unpredictable patterns in both her defense and offense. This allows her to overpower an enemy with many different ways to attack at multiple angles. Those who underestimate her reach and unconventional anatomy, typically end up dead.

- Nalara's Pendant: A small weathered pendant from a time long before the rift. Its origin is mundane and could be a representation of an ancient family heirloom that is no longer remembered by the new Vaelithra.
- The Rift Shard: An obsidian fragment of the rift brought out of the dimension of chaos with dancing stars blinking inside it. The tiny shard is used as a talisman that reacts to her emotions. When Vaelithra becomes angry, splintered crimson lightning can be seen swirling inside the small fragmented jewel. This is the only clue to when or how Nalara became the Hollowed Saint.
