History:
Initially a generic version of the tabac plant brought to the Uystrao System, the farmers quickly realized the soil altered the plant immensely. Over numerous generations, the genetic makeup changed and the Uystraoan Red Tabac became an accepted subspecies of tabac.
The Red Tabac was found to be difficult to plant, requiring a cocktail of various minerals designed to perfect the smooth taste of the plant when smoked, but that the crop was easy to tend to once planted. The only susceptibility was the vulnerability to pests, but otherwise the crop fares well in most weather.
The Tabac is well known for its taste and smooth flavor, easily topping the charts where sold in the galaxy. The crop does so well that it's generally accepted as the middle ground between profit and complexity for aspiring farm tycoons within the Uystrao System. In fact, the crop is so well known, it's become a staple export from the planet and is known in multiple systems as the absolute premium for tabac plants.
