*Jareth zoned out a bit, looking off into the distance.*

Jareth: "There aren't enough good people. I can't stand by and watch one of them die. Becoming a Sith for me is a means to an end, and that end is eliminating what I feel is wrong and protecting those who are good in my eyes. You are someone I consider good and you aren't in the way of my end goal. Also, gratitude means more than you think."

"You have good morals, but you're making the wrong choices." he said, stating his opinion as though it were a fact. Fletcher said nothing else, not wanting to aggravate [member="Jareth Johnathon Holst"] or make him change his mind because at the minute, he was on his own and defenceless against pretty much anything.

He kept a tight hold of his arm, avoiding the Sith's eyes.

Jareth: "Sometimes to be able to make the right choices, a man has to make what seems like the wrong choice. Of course, its a lot easier to say this when you've lost everything by trying to make the right choices..."

*Jareth spaces out again, if one looked close they might notice that his eyes were unusually moist, but most wouldn't see that. Gareth shakes his head as if to clear it.*

Jareth: "Anyways, we should probably move on. I have a ship a couple levels up. I can get you to a medical facility from there. Are you ready?"

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Fletcher bit his lip and looked away, he didn't want to upset Jareth even further so he just nodded understandingly.

"If there's anything I can ever do to repay you... I wouldn't hesitate. I am in your debt, the Order is in your debt." he said with gratitude. It was unimaginable that such fierce rivals would manage to help one another.

The Padawan nodded. The fight had been the worst he'd ever had, and now he'd have to get his hand replaced since it was his dominant hand.

[member="Jareth Johnathon Holst"]

Jareth: "I appreciate that, but I didn't do this so you or anyone would owe me a favor."

*Jareth helped the padawan to go with him. Moving quickly through the levels until he reached the ship.*

Jareth: "Actually, there is one favor I could use. When we hit republic space, convince them not to blow the two of us out of the sky."

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

"I'd never dreamed that a Sith would help anyone of my... type." Fletcher said, still cautious of Jareth. He then nodded and sighed. "It may be hard, who would believe it, a Sith and a Jedi." Fletcher laughed nervously

The Padawan looked down, coming to terms with the fact he had just lost his hand and his lightsaber.

*The Jedi was still nervous it seemed. Jareth was a Sith out of necessity more than a belief in their philosophy. He accepted the mantle to avoid his own death, to avenge the death of his friend at the hands of the Sith, and to gain power enough to help protect others from experiencing that same pain of loss. Good people were his allies, Sith or Jedi, force adept or completely shut off from the force.*

Jareth: "It is difficult to believe. I am not a traditional Sith. The only thing I share in common with a Sith is burning emotion motivating my actions, but as opposed to anger or hate: I am left with anguish. I cannot even utilize force lightning because it is generally an outward expression of negative emotions like hate, and I am virtually incapable of feeling such emotions. Do you think you can prevent the Jedi from destroying the both of us though? If it isn't safe to travel to Republic space, I may know someone who might be able to help..."

Fletcher stared at Jareth in disbelief, he didn't seem like a bad Sith, or even a Sith at all.

Emotion motivating actions... The Jedi forbade that, though maybe it wasn't that big of a deal, it seemed like a good thing...

"Knowing the Jedi, they'd shoot us down at the first chance they get, no matter if I'm on board, I mean, take one for the team, right?" he smiled, half joking. The Jedi really were desperate to wipe out the Sith, maybe not that desperate, though how that would bring balance to the Force, he didn't know.

*Jareth pulled out a very special comm-link. He hadn't found her son yet, but he felt that she would want to help this Jedi.*

Jareth: *To the Jedi* "In that case," *Into the comm-link* "[member="Lady Kay"] , This is Jareth. I have a very special passenger in need of medical facilities. Would you be able to assist me in that regard?"

Kay was in a small freighter near the edge of Republican space. She had just finished a meeting that was unintentional, but one that had life and death consequences. She had a lot to think about, decisions to make and each of them had their downsides. And it was all because of this stupid war between the One Sith and the Republic.

Her commlink beeped which brought her out of her thoughts. Kay went through her satchel and brought it out, heard the message and then sent back a reply. "Greetings Jareth. I hope that you're well. I am free at the moment, so I'll send you my co-ordinates and you and your passenger can join me."

She had her pilot send the ship's position to him and then waited. Her mind drifted to the bill she had seen go through the Senate. Execution or some other harsh punishment for those of the Republic that are caught helping the One Sith. Sadly, she had allies in both and as a Senator for the Republic, it put her in a difficult position.

*He received the co-ordinates and sighed a bit of relief. He had enough life and death experiences without having to worry about simple things like this.*

Jareth: "Looks like we have our get out of jail free card. You ready to meet a good friend of mine, Jedi?"

[member="Lady Kay"] [member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Fletcher nodded, he was still apprehensive as to whether this was all part of some bigger plan but he quickly dismissed the thought thinking it would be too much trouble for one to go to, for a Jedi in training at that. He grimaced as his arm began to throb again but tried not to show the pain on his face. It was all so unusual and scary, everything he had been taught told him to run.

It took a while for them to reach her, but finally Jareth's ship arrived. The pilots for both ships co-ordinated with eachother to have the two airlocks meet, allowing for them to connect.

Kay waited by the door, satchel over her shoulder like it always was. She wondered who Jareth's friend was and what kind of medical facilities were needed. And of course, she was curious as to what had happened.
