Utapau

It was pitch black down here. No-one really cared about lighting the bowels of this place, which was good for Jardo. His black robes blended with the shadows. He felt the kid in his general area, the same floor anyway. Walking forward he looked out of a small window, realizing that they were actually that far down.

He heard the platform raise again, which meant they were close to the water at the bottom of the pit. Jardo shook his head lightly, knocking the wall. Great, narrow corridors and no light. However, the kid was close, Jardo was behind him. Smiling he ignited his blade, making the kid turn, clashing the blades in a saber lock.

His lightsaber was the only source of light for him and he couldn't help but admit that it was somewhat nervewracking. Left alone in the darkness with only a lightsaber, he wasn't afraid, only... apprehensive. It only made things trickier.

Fletcher turned around only to meet the Sith again. Their blades collided once more but the lightsabers being the only source of light in what seemed to be endless darkness was somewhat disorientating when you had all your attention on the blades. He drew the blade away quickly and spun it, maybe this would be round two.

It was safe to say that he had completely forgotten he had other places to be, places he was supposed to be at by a specific deadline.

Good posting, enjoying this. Oh btw Writing while listening to Jim Cornet is so hard, don't try it

Forcing his blade forward Jardo caught the blade of the young Jedi, sighing. Round two, here we go. Jardo wanted to be on higher ground, better ground. He had a second plan though. He knew the basics behind force lightning, though he had never tried it. That scared him, knowing that it could go well wrong.

He was keeping that to himself though. That was the final plan if this didn't go well. Kicking the young Jedi away Jardo swapped his Djem So style to the Ataru stance. He almost hoped that the sudden change would confuse the young Jedi, he wasn't sure however. Running forward he started to jump over the Jedi, then realized the lack of room would make that difficult.

Growling he stopped, feinting the jump and instead swinging his blade towards the elbow of the saber arm on the young Jedi. However, he feinted that as well, kicking off the wall and using the force to jump over the young Jedi. Anyway, he hoped he'd confused the Jedi enough to get some distance between them so he could catch his breath.

Fletcher blocked, now focusing on defence rather than attacking, if he could get away from this alive, that would be good. A dead Jedi was no use to anybody, except well maybe the Sith. Besides, persistent attacking wouldn't get him anywhere, if there was anything he had learnt, it was that patience and stamina were key. The longer you can go on for, the easier it is for you, better to conserve your energy now and use it in one pressing attack rather than lots of attacks.

He continued to block but was surprised by the sudden change in combat styles, causing him to hesitate before meeting the blades once more before it hit his elbow. Everything had happened so quick and suddenly the Sith was behind him, having jumped over Fletcher. He could only tell because of the light and sound the lightsaber produced, it was all rather disorientating. He quickly turned himself around and stared at the red blade, breathing heavily.

Me too :3 and I wont xD

Using the force Jardo slammed down the door behind the young Jedi, locking it. He then punched the button next to him, backing towards the open gap. Airlocks, gotta love them, especially if they open to the water. Fighting the Jedi back to the gap Jardo sigh, calling upon the force to slam the airlock door shut and locked. If they wanted out, it was the water.

Grabbing a tighter hold on his lightsaber Jardo swung with all his might. He had gone back to Djem So and was adding every ounce of his rage into the swing. He was right on the edge now, one step back and he'd be in the drink. Good thing his blade worked underwater ey. He chuckled lightly, still swinging his blade with all the power he could muster.

Fletcher advanced on Jardo, not hesitating or looking back at the door. There was no time to face distractions, this fight was dragging on and he wanted to finish the Sith off, though if he was capable of doing so was another thing. He knew he would have no chance blocking the lightsaber coming towards him so quickly and with such power so he ducked out of the way and swung his lightsaber to the side of the opponent's thigh. He tried to stay calm throughout the fight though it was proving difficult.

The Padawan pressed on, though now they were nearing the edge. Water wouldn't be a problem, most lightsabers had been equipped for such circumstances and he came from Naboo after all. The blade came towards him with such power that it had made him lose balance when it struck his own lightsaber, causing him to fall back onto the floor.

Remind me never to write while tired again, and I thought against the water fight so, back we go!

Jardo was nice enough to allow the kid a chance to get up. As soon as the kid was up they crossed blades again, green light being formed in the middle of their saber lock. Jardo was stronger, and he forced the young Jedi back against the door. He wasn't quite sure if the Jedi'd notice the large button next to him, but if this fight said anything, no he wouldn't.

Jardo noticed it for him, using his spare hand to smack the button and open the door. Kicking the Jedi back they collided again, blades hissing against the stress being placed upon them. The young Jedi managed to overpower Jardo for a moment, but Jardo came back, mixing both Ataru and Djem So forms together.

The result was pure anger and pure rage behind every jump and every swing.

Fletcher got to his feet as soon as he had fallen. The Sith was clearly the stronger one, Fletcher had never been particularly strong anyway, he was a lot more agile though. He pushed back against the opposing blade, purely to keep the blades from backfiring onto him rather than to actually cause the opponent any damage.

The fight became more and more intense as time went on, there were no clear winners yet. After overpowering [member="Jardo Snow"] for a moment, he went in for an attack but was met by an opposing one. The Sith was getting stronger through the fight and the Padawan was just becoming more and more overwhelmed by the sheer amount of energy he had to use and the power to prevent the attacks. He was becoming weaker, his reactions slower. Maybe it was time to use the force...

*The battle was becoming difficult to follow, spanning many levels and dipping in and out of different areas. Fortunately Dust could sense the two easily with his empathy, feeling their emotions. The Jedi was showing uncharacteristic anger, possibly a product of his youth even compared to Dust. He saw Jardo seemed confident, and throughout the fight he had the physical advantage. Jardo was after all a streetwise bounty hunting ex-street rat gone Sith. He had learned to fight already, while the young padawan could not claim the same. That being said, the padawan was clearly better trained in terms of the force which is why Dust found it hard to believe he was not using it as much as his opponent.*

This fight was getting mad now. Both blades clashed again, and they continued in a saber lock, backing off down the corridor. Jardo was giving everything he had into this fight, and he knew it was time to call upon force enhancement to help him here. That's exactly what he did.

Okay, he already had the advantage, but to be honest he needed even more of the advantage. Chuckling to himself, he pushed the young Jedi back, breaking away from the fight, ducking down through a door just to the left of the fighters. Granted, he was only getting a breather, but as long as he could get away from this Jedi for a while.

Fletcher blocked the attack since there wasn't a chance to avoid them in the narrow corridor, and pushed against the saber lock, trying to over power his opponent though it didn't work. After being pushed back, he took the chance to pause for a moment and let the force flow through him before preparing himself for the next part of the battle to come.

The Padawan followed [member="Jardo Snow"], though not in any rush, they had come this far, any longer wouldn't hurt. He stopped behind the Sith and stayed, not making a move with his lightsaber, though rather holding his opposite hand out and using the force in attempt to force push his opponent.

Time to finish this now. It's been good, i've enjoyed it. If I cut your arm off rp'ly i'll take loss of arm or somethin as well? I'm willing to lose a hand and fall into the water, as long as I don't lose my blade. Saying that, do you mind losing your saber?

Ruse, gotta love them. Jardo had formulated the plan as soon as he went through the door, and he was anticipating the force push as soon as it happened. He used it's momentum to grab a loose metal beam above him, pulling himself through a small hole and to the floor above. He then kicked a small sheet of metal across the top of the hole, running.

After a few minutes of running, Jardo found himself on a small landing platform, about seventeen stories above the water and many stories below the entrance of Utapau itself. He watched as the young Jedi followed him onto the platform, ready for the final showdown. All of his force powers were in effect, including barrier and Enhancement.

The next minutes went by in a blur. Both men charged at each other and all he could see was the flashes of blue and red as the lightsabers crashed, crashed faster than he'd ever seen. It'd take one serious ADHD guy to be able to know what happened, all Jardo knew is that he had some nice cuts added to his body.

Fletcher followed the Sith. Having regained his composure, he used the force to enhance his movements as they fought. They were high up and yet, so far down. Everything was so disorientating, it was hard to concentrate through it and the pain, but he kept going, not willing to allow a Sith to win, out of bitterness rather than anger.

They fought continuously, it was hard to keep up and it seemed like it would never end. But he quickly lunged the lightsaber towards the Sith's abdomen, provided his reactions were quick, he could save himself from being skewered.

[member="Jardo Snow"]

Yeah, I don't mind

Using what he had now nicknamed the Ataru-So, Jardo blocked the lunge, forcing the young Jedi back to the edge of the platform. He almost hesitated for a moment, but let his anger cloud his vision. This fight had dragged on, and to be honest Jardo could of finished it whenever he wanted, he just didn't want to, until now.

Jardo watched the young Jedi back to the edge of the platform, and Jardo capitalized. Using the force, he leaped over the young Jedi, slicing right through the wrist of the saber arm. However, misjudging the jump he clotheslined himself off of a moving maintenance platform, basically bellyflopping into the water.

He couldn't see the young Jedi's hand, nor blade, but to be honest he didn't mind. He was more bothered about not drowning right now. Clipping his blade to his belt, Jardo forced his way to the surface, coughing like mad, both from a serious clothesline and the water currently swishing through his lungs.

Climbing out of the water, he fell to his knees, coughing like mad. He was opposite the young Jedi, who lay there, clearly in pain. The fight had taken a lot out of both men, and Jardo was completely an idiot for thinking he was going to get away. Two police type guys both moved forward, one shooting Jardo's saber arm.

Grabbing the arm in pain, Jardo swore. He should of thought this, seriously should of thought this one through. He made a mental note to beat himself up, slumping into the corner. Had they really just injected him with tranquilizer? He groaned, however he wasn't asleep, which meant the shot had been lethal, not tranquilizer. Actually that wasn't much better.

Calling upon the force, he used force jump to get to the higher platform. He was done with this place now.

*Dust advanced from out of the shadows after Jardo left, police chasing after him, and walked up to the young Jedi with lightsaber ready if it needed to be used. The Jedi was alone, the Utapauan security forces were more concerned with capturing the trouble maker than saving the victim. Dust stood over the padawan.*

Dust: "How're you holding up? Any mortal wounds?"

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Fletcher yelped in pain and collapsed on the floor, clutching his wrist to his chest. It was shocking to say the least. Looking for the Sith now would be the least of his worries. He thought he was alone before he sensed someone near to him and slowly turned to look up at the person that stood over him. Now having no weapon, he had almost no means of self defence and if this person wasn't nice, he'd have a very small chance of survival.

The Padawan sat up and moved away from [member="Jareth Johnathon Holst"], cautiously. He still clutched his arm, looking up at the other person, clearly afraid by now.

"I'm...fine." he said, which was quite clearly a lie.

*Jareth laughed heartily. He had obviously seen most of the exchange and knew the result.*

Jareth: "Well here I was thinking you might need a hand. Now don't get me wrong, and I may be going out on a limb here, but you look like you could use some help. Unlike my... Ally... who you just met, I have nothing against you. In fact, you seem to be a very good person and I don't want to see someone like you killed while I have the opportunity to stop such an event, so I am offering you help if you are willing to accept it."

Fletcher glared at [member="Jareth Johnathon Holst"] for the puns but didn't move to attack, knowing he'd have no chance. He just stared up at the stranger. "You're a Sith?" he asked, moving back until he was near the edge. He wondered if the Sith was trying to trick him but thought against it, he knew he had little choice. Naturally, he was apprehensive but he also knew he had no choice so just nodded in agreement.

*The Jedi was clearly apprehensive, and rightfully so; however, he appeared to nod in agreement to the help. Jareth stretched his hand forward to help the Jedi to his feet.*

Jareth: "Sith is a... Loose term, but I suppose you could call me that. I am certainly not good by your views, but in my own way I am doing what I feel is best for the galaxy. Now, come with me, I know someone off planet who can fix you right up, but for now you will have to deal with my basic medical knowledge until we can get you off world."

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

Fletcher took the hand to pull himself to his feet, knowing he probably wouldn't have been able to stand up otherwise. He looked at [member="Jareth Johnathon Holst"], then looked away. He was accepting help from a Sith, going against everything he stood for, or so he thought...

Knowing he had no choice but to trust the Sith, he nodded. "But why are you helping me? You'll get nothing out of this from the Jedi except my personal gratitude."
