Suggestion User-Submitted Postbits & Username Backgrounds

[Kirie]

Hi all,

A few years ago, there were some very successful threads where users could submit custom flairs for staff to consider adding to the forum, which was then followed by a sticky thread for user-submitted flairs (which should really get some more love). As a result there is a very healthy catalogue of flair options to suit pretty much any character and colour scheme.

I think it would be a good idea to do something similar for both username backgrounds and postbits.

• Regarding username backgrounds, the majority are faction-affiliated, so it would be nice to get some that are usable for a wider range of characters.
• For postbits, there are a lot of good options already, but potentially a number that don't get used and could be replaced or added to with user submissions.

As with flairs, it should be pretty easy to set requirements for postbits, and Major Factions have been submitting custom username backgrounds for a while now already. My recommendation would be a staff thread where users can submit postbits, username backgrounds for consideration just like we have for flairs. Could even be fun to spice things up with a competition where the winners get a UC payout or something.

There was also a similar suggestion recently by Kitter Bitters which you can find here

I would love to see some different user name backgrounds.
