Description: This is the upscale residence of the current Earl and Countess of Upton heights. The eight bedroom (not including the servant quarters) mansion boasts an air of elegance and upper-class living (some say it smells of roses, others say it reeks of an overabundance of credits. The immaculately manicured home also features nine bathrooms, a two story ballroom/reception hall, gallery space, library, and wine cellar. Each room is lavishly furnished with the richest woods and textiles. The basement level is home to the servants, complete with modest bedrooms and baths.
The back of the house opens onto a courtyard, complete with an outdoor fireplace and bar. The Abbey also has a sprawling landscape that is painstakingly maintained by a team of skilled gardeners. There is a putting green, equestrian arena and barn, and a garden large enough to host most spectacular parties. The edge of the Abbey's 1,000 acre estate backs up to a forest. For fear of the family’s safety, there is high security at the Abbey; with additional hired protection when needed.
History: Upton Abbey has been in the Dane Family for over 50 years, having been passed down to the next heir that will become the Earl of Upton Heights. The house is traditionally kept in its pristine condition by a host of live-in service, currently a mix of HRDs and human help. The Dane family graciously offers their home as destination for visiting politicians, fellow nobles, and members of the elite rich that arrive on Dargul for business. Upton Abbey also entertains many private parties and major celebrations have taken place on their grounds in the past.
The Abbey also has a darker history, and has at one time been rumored to be haunted by previous inhabitants. However, the current family will deny all accusations as such. When the previous Earl of Upton Heights was murdered during a party, the estate passed ownership to his nephew, Mitchell Dane, as he had no sons of his own.
