THE HUNTER-KNIGHT
NEW JEDI ORDER
WEIGHT ROOM - TRAINING WING - JEDI TEMPLE - CORUSCANT

Visiting the temple's weight room had been part of Vizion Trozky's self-maintenance routine on three days of any relatively normal week, since his earliest days on Coruscant, transferring in from Ossus enclave after his Knighting. In his eyes, it was one of his most crucial responsibilities to maintain his levels of fitness, such that he could carry out his duties as a Jedi Knight across the board to the full extent of his abilities.

Sparring did a lot, yet only worked some groups of muscles in certain ways, and there was something to be said for variety, but most importantly... though he was still rather young as a man in his early twenties, keeping up the practice would help him as his body aged. It would also help his recovery in the event to injury, which was common in this calling, among other benefits, such as helping him think. Like anything else that got the blood pumping, it facilitated clarity, and worked the pressure of personal challenges out of his bones.

And after a recent day where reality dunked him in frigid water, so to speak, a stark reminder of his own mistakes, he needed all the clarity he could get. He cared deeply for his old friends, but maybe it was time to truly branch out. Finally take a padawan, perhaps? For as long as he'd been putting it off, it was a mark of growth in a Jedi that they were capable of fostering growth in another, and he needed to grow.

And get to know other people, surely.

Flexing his hands after a short break between sets, he began to tackle the last of today's sets - it was leg day - as the door wooshed open. The routines and days of others' workouts sometimes overlapped with his, so he usually recognised those coming and going, and occasionally even chatted with them, but when he briefly paused to look towards the door before beginning that set, who walked in wasn't one of the regulars for this time of day, but a face he was mostly certain he'd seen around the temple at some point, even if that was the extent of his familiarity.

He gave them a smile as he lifted a gloved hand in greeting, rather than simply offering the nod he'd usually give to the regulars. Were they new, or was this just a shift in their routine?

It had been far too long since Wilhelm had walked the halls of the Jedi Temple. Whether it was the Republic or the Alliance, it seemed like the monument of Light within the Core Worlds would never change. Though the structure had been through its fair share of repairs over the multitude of years. With the numerous times Coruscant had been attacked, be it Sith, Imperial or whomever had been the last…

Was it the Brotherhood of the Maw?

The elder Locke couldn’t quite recall, but then again hadn’t they just been another sect of Sith?

Wilhelm missed the old days, where things were a lot simpler. Atleast, they felt simple compared to the current day and age. It was reminiscence of those old memories that brought Wilhelm to the Jedi Temple. He had been a soldier through and through for the majority of his life, only ever discovering his Force connection through meeting Annalise.

He had never been officially a Jedi, but Wilhelm had always been warmly welcomed at the Temple. And for old times sake, he had decided to spend some time in the weight room. It had been an old haunt of his back in the day, before the whole ‘Force Crusader’ project had begun. He was very curious to see what kind of machines they had there now, whether any could provide a challenge for him.

After getting changed into some more appropriate clothing (that wasn’t a fancy suit), Wilhelm walked into the weights room. His eyes scanned across it, akin to a soldier in an unfamiliar location. Old habits were hard to kick, even for an old warrior. Wilhelm’s gaze eventually settled on a younger man, who couldn't be any older than his twenties. He gave the youngster a firm nod, before walking across the room.

Vizion lowered his arm, and went about adjusting the closures on his gloves, flexing his hands after. An older guy - now that was a surprise. He couldn't say for sure that the more venerable members of the Order didn't haunt the weight room, but at least he never saw any of them on his lifting schedule. Now that he took a better look at the guy as he crossed the room, Vizion really couldn't say he'd ever seen him around the temple before.

Nor anyone of his shape, usually. Most Jedi didn't get that built that he'd been able to see, but he'd heard of exceptions - like that bald guy… what was his name? Master Caladin? Anyway, this guy didn't really look like a Jedi, and he seemed pretty stacked even for an elder, but that wasn't even the thing that ultimately pulled on the Brentaalan's curiosity. No, this newcomer looked like he'd seen and lived through more than a fair deal of things in his life. Far more than Vizion had. Altogether, something he chewed on in his head while going about his last set.

Several minutes later when all was said and done, and he was stretching through his cool-down, he looked at the elder newcomer, "Can't say I've seen you around here before - visiting?" That was a safe bet.
