When Janeth was disconnected from Blue, it was after he was told all he needed to hear. The Helix Syndicate desired the Network Access, and her emphasis suggested by force if necessary. Two encrypted messages went out, and under orders from the Collective, a recently acquainted asset was being called up.

ENCRYPTED MESSAGE

We have a high priority mission and are requesting your services.

You will be paid handsomely, of course. More importantly we offer you something even more lucrative.

Exclusive and indefinite access to our growing information network.

Your mission is to defend one of our installations on Nar Shaddaa. We desire the full force of your company. Coordinates are attached to this message, and further details will be explained upon your arrival.

All agents must report in. The Collective is under an impending attack. If you are physically capable of returning to to the core base then you must do so at once.

"I'm here." Malen stated, sending an encrypted text to the Collective. The past few weeks had been a roller-coaster. First, it had been him joining the Collective; then, an AI from the Contingency had taken over an auction, and had killed what he assumed was hundred of thousands of people. Now, it seemed one of their agents was captured. That, along with the latest string of bad news made him even wonder if it was more than just bad luck.

When he joined, he could only see that he was the only one that was here. The neutral Knight wondered where everyone was. For now though, that was on the back of his mind. What he needed to know first was the details quickly. When was the last transmission? Where had it been sent to? Was there a terminal involved? Only then could he help; proud of his abilities as a slicer, he knew that was only when he could be a useful asset.

He sat down, no one but time being his friend as he waited for the meeting to begin.

Janeth was practically the one that brought the Collective together, or at least help Jest enter the fold. He knew they were playing with fire, but to what extent he didn't know. Now, they had her. All the more puzzling was the other encrypted message he'd received - one that seemed much more normal and routine with the way the Collective operated.

With a few taps on his holopad, he responded. Acknowledged. He didn't sign it, nor did he say anything beyond that. Operating in the shadows included doing so in the digital realm. He'd been hoping to remain in Estalle for some time. Now, he realized, that wouldn't be happening.
