Punishment for her failure on Ilum was lighter than expected. Isabsel had been ordered to train nearly nonstop for the incident on Ilum. It was something Isabsel welcomed as she relished in trying to better herself. Such was the culture of the Einzvien Haemonculi. But Isabsel would be given another mission, this time on Nar Shadaa. An infiltration mission into a local Hutt Cartel gang on the planet. They had illegally acquired a Jedi artifact from an abdandoned temple out there in the galaxy. If intelligence was correct, the artifact was a Jedi holocron, that could contain knowledge on Vaapad. Vaapad, a Jedi lightsaber combat from derived from Juyo. It was imperative that Isabsel did not fail in getting that holocron, such informaton could not be in the hands of criminals. It is best for it to be destroyed.

Isabsel had inserted herself into the gang, appearing nothing more than just a servant. She tended to the gang's leader and officers, bringing them drinks, spice, and other commodities. It wasn't unsual for such a kind profession on this blighted world. Isasbel was earning the trust of this gang, by playing the part of the meek servant. None of them were the wiser as Isabsel continued to gather intel on the artifact they had stored. It constantly moved locations throughout the city, and it was surprisingly difficult to learn when it will be next. But just by perhaps a stroke of luck, one of the officers spoke a bit too loudly for Isabsel to overhear. Now she knew that the artifact was being housed in a safe house on the lower levels. Now all Isasbel needed to do, was to sneak down there and take it for herself. Provided her plans do not come falling apart.

Lily had been training hard since Ilum, as well as reporting her findings on the stranger part Echani woman who had attempted to destroy one of the caves on Ilum. An investigation into an anti-Force cult had begun but from Lily could ascertain there wasn't much headway with the investigation. What Lily could offer wasn't much evidence, the crushed detonator and thermal detonators in the cave were not much of a lead, and due to Echani by nature looking very much alike, tracking someone who looked near identical to millions of others was very tricky. Lily hadn't even gotten a name from the woman to be a loose lead.

It was a frustration for the young Padawan since she felt like she had let down the Order by not getting better evidence to track the perpetrator with. However, in time, she was sent on a mission to Nar Shaddaa. Smugglers had stolen some ancient Jedi holocrons and Lily needed to help recover them. Her time spent on Nar Shaddaa previously had leaned into her being an asset for the mission since she might still have connections on who to interact with. Luckily she did since there was a Rodian smuggler that she made quick contact with. He was hesitant at first since she had chased him down street the last time they met but Lily reassured him that she wanted information from him that was all.

The Rodian mentioned that there was a gang who had a storehouse with a load of smuggled goods. Their lieutenants had been bragging during some drinks and gambling that there was even Jedi holocrons stored in there. Lily gave him a tip and smiled a thanks to him, telling him to stay out of trouble but she appreciated the news. Lily made her way to the storehouse, her hair tied in a high ponytail, she looked around the place and noted the security that was in place. It was certainly storing something important here.

Lily was not someone built for stealth, she was flexible and could move gracefully but she knew the mission was too important to just dance around and let the holocron get stolen. Instead, Lily decided to charge in, using the Force to blast the doors down as she entered the storehouse. Bold approach but she figured the guards would not be prepared for a Jedi.

Isabsel had managed to sneak down to the lower levels, using a speeder to take her down. Clutching her vibro-ax, she walked through the streets, taking back alleys to get to where this safe house was. A few times a shady individual or an intoxicated one would try to stop her. Let's just say that there were a couple more bodies that littered the alleys of Nar Shadaa by the time Isabsel was done with them. She couldn't afford to be stopped and let this artifact slip through her fingers. It was a way to redeem herself, before her superiors. Not to mention the knowledge that holocron could provide. But as Isabsel got closer to this safe house that appeared to be a massive storehouse meant to also hold spice, there was alot of commotion. Blaster fire, shouting in alien languages.

Isabsel kept her distance for the moment, waching as several members of the Hutt Cartel gang piling into a speeder, with a heavy looking box. It then sped off and Isabsel clenched her fists. That must have been the holocron. What the kriff was happening over there? Isasbel moved towards the storehouse, going through another entrance to take a look inside. Deceased criminals, blaster bolts, and a white haired woman seeming to be the cause of it all. Isabsel narrowed her eyes as she didn't give this woman so much of a courtsey she was here. Instead Isabsel lunged at the woman, attempting to knock her down by swiping at her legs.

"You again?!" she would say with a hint of venom in her tone.

The fights were short with the criminals since Lily overwhelmed them with her speed and natural strength, however, the large number delayed her long enough that she caught a glimpse of them escaping with a box that suggested the holocron was stored within. She gritted her teeth since it meant that she was slipping up and should have taken a more cautious route. Most of the criminals were incapacitated since Lily avoiding killing them when she could. However, that wasn't always possible and she dealt with the consequences of that, knowing that they were likely going to haunt her dreams with many others that currently disrupted her sleep nowadays.

When she sensed an incoming void in the Force, a being where the Force no longer spoke to, she felt a sense of familiarity. While those who were Force Dead tended to feel the same, when she was attacked by the being, Lily swiftly defended herself and jumped backwards from the swipe. Twirling her Lightsaber in hand, Lily's steel gaze focused on the other woman.

"Seems like a small galaxy." Lily stated coolly, "I am too busy for another fight with you." Lily stated as she rose to her full height, walking passed the other woman, not holding her defences completely down but attempting to move forward and not get into another fight. There wasn't time with the holocron getting further and further away.

Problem she had was that she had no idea where they would be heading next. Her contact didn't mention another place they operated out of and Lily wasn't sure she had time to wander around aimlessly.

"Unfortunately a small galaxy. Of all the variables that have could have caused me to fail this mission, you were not one of them. And because of your bull-headed nature, Jedi, the criminals have left with that holocron." Isabsel sighed as she then walked out of the building following the Jedi out to see where that speeder went. Perhaps fortunately, the criminals were leaving in a hurry and they had knocked over several containers of goods from the other warehouses. Even then, this trail will get cold very fast, and chances are that these people are long gone for now. Isabsel tapped her chin, trying to remember any other backup locations that they would head to if this one was compromised. The only one she could think of is another storage unit, deep within the underbelly of the city. Various gangs and syndicates currently having turf wars there.

Such a combat zone would be highly dangerous for a lone operative like Isabsel. A thought crossed her mind that mad her sick to her stomach. But failing her mission would be a far worse fate than working with her sworn enemy. "Look..I know where they will take that holocron" she told Lily "It is going to be in warzone essentially and seeing that I do not have a lightsaber, your..skills could be useful in helping me get that holocron." Isabsel certainly wasn't happy about suggesting this, but it was clearly implying that the two should work together for the time being.

Being called bull headed was something that Lily wanted to refute but she knew that her actions had been a bit more aggressive than she should have tried. It gave too much time to the opposition to escape and ensure that she was held behind without a lead to follow them. Breathing in deeply, she said nothing initially, not trusting her words to be anything but sharp retorts for the incident on Ilum.

Lily attempted to look around and see if there was anything laying around where she might get an incline on where they were heading to next. Instead, she heard from the trained assassin about her knowing where they were heading to next. She snorted heavily at the idea of working together, Lily didn't like the chances of betrayal that were likely to happen. However, she was stuck here without another option.

"Fine. But you are helping me in retrieve the holocron, not the other way around." Lily stated firmly. She was not letting this woman take the holocron for whatever nefarious reasons. The holocron was too important and in the hands of someone like Isabsel, she knew it would be abused to do harm not good.

Gesturing for Isabsel to lead the way, "after you." It was all Lily would say in a polite tone.

Isabsel stopped for a moment, to glare at the Jedi. She was fighting every instinct in her body to not strike Lily where she stood. There was now way that she could just give this holocron back to the Jedi. Not after all of this. Isabsel would then start to lead the way but she would glance back to Lily, speaking to her. "Only one condition, I will get to copy down whatever information is in that holorcron. I can not return back to my superiors empty handed, and I am sure your masters will not be pleased in your failure to secure the holocron back. That is my condition for allowing you to take the holocron back to your Jedi."

Isabsel then would then turn the corner, spotting an empty two seat speeder. She would jog over to it before then hotwiring it to activate it. She then turned to Lily reluctantly offering her hand to help the Jedi in. "Do we have a deal Jedi? Or should I just leave you here to fend for yourself and try to navigate this planet all by your lonesome?"

Lily felt her jaw lock as she knew that handing over any details of the holocron information would be a bad idea. It was something that Isabsel wanted and since the other woman wanted to rid the galaxy of the Jedi then it was likely going to be information that aided in that. However, there was also not a lot of options. Lily was trapped since the only way to really get the holocron was to accept the help that was being offered. Even if it meant that she was sacrificing information stored on the device. The only relief was that any information shared would be something that the NJO would be aware of since they would still hold the original.

"Fine, you may have a copy of the information on the holocron." Lily stated after a moment as she jumped into the speeder. "I can navigate the planet just fine. I am not a lost child." Lily growled at the patronising words from Isabsel. She had come out of their first duel the better and since then only gotten better in sparring. She had faced more formidable foes such as Carnifex since their initial meeting.

"Let's get on with this so we don't have to linger with one another too long." Lily grunted, figuring that Isabsel would prefer as much as she did to just get this mission over with.

Isabsel narrowed her eyes for a moment at Lily. A part of her was right. She despised the very existence of Lily and others like her. Jedi, Sith. anyone who used the Force. However she could at least feel confident that Lily was a capable fighter in her own right. She proved more than a match against her back on Ilum. Something that Isabsel never fully gotten over. Probably never will until she evened the score. Isabsel began to pilot the speeder, narrowly avoiding a random Sullustan worker who was walking along the side of the road.

"You know if your Order didn't keep losing its holocrons, so many of these criminals wouldn't have them. Both you and the Sith are sloppy in that regard." Isabsel commented. It was a provoking statement yes but perhaps Isabsel was just trying to fill the void of silence. To engage in her own incorrect version of small talk. Isabsel wasn't sure why she wished to casually talk to this Jedi. Perhaps it was better than constantly trying to fly speeder while also wondering if Lily was going to strike her with her saber. She looked at one of the monitors in the speeder for a moment before making a hard right entering the busy Nar Shadaa traffic lanes, trying to head to the correct district.

The accusation from Isabsel was something that Lily saw as typical from someone who had no real understanding of the ways that Jedi and Sith acted. She shook her head and sighed a little. "You assume a lot about the Jedi and Sith, it is ironic since you would think someone who declares themselves our enemy would learn more accurate information on how things worked." Lily stated in a cold, judgemental tone. Seeing Isabsel as someone who is lacking as an enemy.

"It is not that we keep losing the holocrons. The ones in possession of the New Jedi Order are quite secure and safe. However, Jedi were purged, temples were lost and the Gulag plague devastated the galaxy. Things were lost to time. Lost from record. Therefore, criminals discover lost temples, lost holocrons and we do our best to recover them." Lily stated, correcting the idea that the Jedi were sloppy. "The Sith might not be as diligent in recovering their holocrons because they want the galaxy to have such corrupting objects out there to ensure new students come to them once corrupted."

Lily was also not going to underestimate the Sith as people who were sloppy. That was a sure fire way to ensure that she died whenever she had to fight one again in the future.

Isabsel spun the speeder into a spiral so it could descend faster, tightening her bonnet quickly with a right hand. She didn't respond immediately to Lily's explanations or accusations that she didn't know how much of the Jedi or Sith worked. She would pull the speeder back up right before checking the monitor to ensure she was on the correct path. She gently flew the speeder down towards a run down, semi-decent looking lot where she parked the speeder. Isabsel stepped out grabbing her weapons, sheathing them on her person, then looked back to Lily.

"Do I know every last thing about you and the Sith, or any other force user? No, nor do I need to. All I need to know is how you fight, and how to exploit any weakness. There are far more of your ilk than of mine. To wage open warfare against both you and the Sith will be suicide. The only saving grace for my kind is our unique genetic makeup, and even then I sill lost that duel we had on Illum"
The last part of that sentence sounded bitter and venomous. Clearly Isabsel was infuriated about it.

"To cut this philosophical debate short, my people have their beliefs and reasons for why both you and the Sith must be hunted down. Why your holocrons, temples, and sacred sites must be destroyed or contained."
Isabsel pointed down a dirty dark alleyway. "This is the way to the other safehouse, shall we?"

Lily breathed in deeply as she doubled check her weapons were still on her person. However, she looked over to Isabsel and shook her head in disappointment. "Then you fail as an Echani." Lily stated simply, it was common knowledge that the Echani fought to understand their enemies, the more they understood, the more they could predict and anticipate the next move of their opponents. It was knowledge of a culture, of a history and the ways that one fights, all three provided that strategic element. That almost prescient level of fighting that the Echani were infamous for.

"The fact that you falsely believe that the ignorant levels of knowledge of the Sith and the Jedi will allow you to succeed when you could not handle a mere Padawan. That is a level of arrogance that will ensure your small order of saboteurs to fall." Lily stated in a monotonous tone of voice, indifferent to the threat. "If you attempted to actually put in the effort as a true Echani warrior, I would be more concerned but it is clear you are brainwashed and deceived into believing ignorance is power."

Heading down the dark alleyway, "best to get this over with." Lily stated, clearly disappointed in the forced companion she had to drag with her on this mission now.

Isabsel stopped, right in her tracks. Abruptly, so much so that Lily might have bumped into her. For a brief second, Isabsel looked stumped before she silently walked forward. What Lily said may have struck a nerve with Isabsel. Not being a truch Echani warrior. Not being better or knowledgeable enough to even handle a Jedi Padawan like Lily. Isabsel wanted to shout at this Jedi that she had been trained by Echani. That she did grow up in a culture of fighting, improving, always wanting to be the best. That she had spent countless days of her life doing nothing but reading up on Jedi and Sith tactics, fighting styles, and how to counter them. But deep within that almost emotionless heart, Isabsel can't help but feel that maybe Lily was speaking true. Such a thing rattled Isabsel, but she shook her head, continuing to move forward.

The streets of this district were littered with trash. From destroyed bottles to just bags of disposed materials. Isabsel checked the map on her tablet once more before continuing down to the left, a drunken homeless man asking for any spare credits nearby. Isabsel promptedly ignored him as she turned the corner only for a blaster bolt to narrowly miss her. She ducked behind the wall as more blaster bolts came from the same directon. But they weren't aimed at them. Instead a group of masked thugs of various races, appeared from the shadows and charged down the street, running past both Lily and Isabsel. A turf war was in progress. Isabsel turned to look around for gesturing to a rusty old ladder that led to the roof of the building.

"Probably our best chance to keep moving while avoiding any more turf wars. Unless you wi-" Isabsel stoppedd herself from making a jab at Lily, instead just moving to the ladder and climbing up it. Once at the top she gestured for her companion to keep following her, as she began to jog ahead.

Lily noted that her comments had gotten under the skin of the other woman, which was exactly the point of them. It was bold to claim that you wished to be something, but when you failed to demonstrate that you were implementing such ideals in your actions then it would be futile. Lily used her Echani training to assist in mastering her combat skills. To assist in honing her prescient abilities and she maintained the courting ways that Echani practiced. She would only bond with someone that she connected with on the sparring mats. Lily lived and breathed her combat ways.

Passing the homeless man, Lily squatted and pulled out enough credits for him to find a place to stay for the night. "Get somewhere far from here for the night and stay safe. Seems there is a turf war going on and don't want you caught up in it." Lily mentioned with a smile etched on her lips, she watched as the homeless man left the alley before rising up and continuing to follow Isabsel. It was interesting that this other woman wished to better the galaxy by ridding the Jedi and Sith from it, yet she was doing nothing to help with the systemic issues that were not influenced by the Jedi and Sith.

However, Lily held her tongue.

Dodging the blaster fire due to her abilities with the Force, Lily nodded her head when Isabsel mentioned heading up the ladder and getting out of there. Following the other woman up the ladder, Lily hoped that things could be sorted here some day soon. The citizens of Nar Shaddaa deserved better than turf wars.

Isabsel continued along the roofs of the buildings occasionally looking down at the turf war below. A Weequay stabbed a Quarren in the gut with a simple blade before being shot by a human. Isabsel estimated that this turf battle will continue for a little while longer which will make their infiltration of the district go much easier. Hopping to another rooftop, Isabsel would kneel down to get a better layout of where she was. It looked familiar at least, from when the people she infiltrated showed her where they kept their secret storage room. But while Isabsel may be silent and contemplative, what Lily might see, may illicit a different reaction from her.

The two were overlooking a series of low income housing dwellings, from run down apartment complexes, to just small hamlets that were made up of makeshift materials. Fires were common place, as people burned their waste in these communal bonefires. The stench was barely tolerable as it reekedd of burnt trash and who else knows what. Isabsel removed her bonnet to let out her white hair as she turned it into a mask. Then she offered it to Lily.

"Take it or not, it doesn't matter to me. But I have been undercover in this place so I can tolerate the smell better." Isabsel then pointed in a direction. "You see that building over there, the one with the couple of gangsters on the rooftops. That is where the entrance to their other storage unit is underneath it all. It will be a bit of a walk through, but as long as we dont draw any attention to ourselves, we should be fine. Now any questions?"

Following Isabsel closely on the rooftops, Lily was torn on seeing the death, chaos and pain that this turf war was causing. She knew that there needed something to be done to end it but she also knew that her duties and being a single warrior was not something that would help end this turf war. Lily was powerful to be able to just end a turf war alone and she knew that Isabsel would not help her in ending the war over getting that holocron. A holocron that she could not allow to fall out of Jedi hands any longer.

Instead, she worked on making sure that she could end these operations. If the gangs couldn't get the money then their activities would come to an end. Kill the supply chains that funded them. That was her idea. She would have to pitch it when she got back to the Order after this mission. Nar Shaddaa was a crisis that the Order could not ignore.

Reaching the strong reek of burning trash, Lily initially wanted to brave it out and not require the bonnet that was being offered as a mask. Just to demonstrate she could tolerate the smell just as well as Isabsel. However, as she breathed in to decline, her throat gagged and Lily's body visibly retched with disgust at the smell. "Thanks..." Lily panted out as she took the mask and tied to swiftly to her face.

"No questions, lets go." Lily stated firmly.

Isabsel nodded as she then slid down a drainage pipe of the building they were on, awaiting for Lily to meet her down there. Once the two linked up, Isabsel began to walk through the streets, the grip on her weapon tightening. Normally the people will leave you alone, as they are more focused on other matters than being nosy. But ever so often, they will approach outsiders and ask them for spare credits or rob them. Unfortunately for Isabsel, one such woman approached her. She was covered in dirty, wore filthy torn clothes and smelled like she hadn't had a proper bath in weeks.

"You're not from here...please..a few credits..just enough to buy a meal? Or two..."
she weakly asked

"Ma'am..we are on assingment, you are impeding that" Isabsel responded in a firm robotic tone "Now step aside."

The Twi'lek woman blinked, not even shocked at the type of response she gotten. Instead she just slowly shifted off to the side of the road into a tent, where both Lily and Isabsel could glimpse inside. She had two children, who looked malnourished. Their vacant eyes staring up at their mother who simply embraced them. Isabel was starting to continue her walk but then stopped. Of course what Lily implied earlier continued to plague her thoughts. Why was this happening again? Why was she stopping from her mission to consider what Lily thought of her? Was it because she gotten under her skin about not actually solving the galaxy's problems?

Isabsel sighed as she turned back and opened up the tent. She pulled out a coin purse of sorts and tossed it to the mother. "Credits. Enough for you to buy decent meals for a week and maybe even a clinci visit. Hide them."

The mother smiled seemingly with tears down her face, nodding firmly. Isabsel then glanced at Lily before continuing forward silently. Arriving at the worn down building. Two guards were at the entrance, one of them recognizing Isabsel. They were human and armed with simple blaster rifles.

"Hey you're one of the boss's assistant servers. Why are you out here?" he asked "You should still be at the party."

"Who's your friend? She looking to join up too?"
the other asked "I can give her a tour."

Isabsel rolled her eyes and simply stepped to the side to let Lily answer for herself. But she did give Lily a look as if to silently tell her to be bull-headed right now.

Lily watched as they moved forward and Isabsel decided to donate a substantial amount of credits to a woman with a family in need. It was a small gesture that Lily knew wasn't being done since she had done something similar earlier, it was being done because that it was the right thing to do. It was a difficult thing to deal with since it demonstrated that Isabsel was wanting to help others but there were demons inside her and outside that corrupted that kindness. Lily wondered how much Isabsel's leaders influenced her. How she had decided herself that the Jedi and Sith needed to go, or was it something that she had been told for long enough that it became a fact?

It was something to perhaps have a chance to discuss after this mission was conducted. Though, she was not sure how receptive Isabsel would be to the line of questioning.

The look from Isabsel was one of caution as they approached the guards outside the building. Lily smirked and shrugged her shoulders, since there was a very simple solution to this issue. With a wave of her hand, she used Mind Trick, "that is such a generous option but you want to let us in and go home to rethink this life of crime." Lily stated as she influenced the minds of the guards.

This seemed an easy way to enter without stirring up a fight or attempting to smooth talk their way out of the situation. Mentally capable humans to resist the Mind Trick who were not with any Force training was rare, so Lily figured she liked her chances in being successful with this technique.

"I want to let you in and rethink this life of crime." one of the guards said as if he were under a spell. Isabsel blinked as she then turned to Lily and bit surprised that the Jedi woman didn't instantly ignite her light saber at all. Quite different than the earlier that evening when she attacked the gangsters. Isabsel looked to the other guard who hadn't spoken, wondering if the spell had affected him or not.

"Yeah..I should go home. Maybe try to start that small business I wanted to. Leave this life of crime."
He said mimicking the same tone has his friend. The two guards then walked off, with Isabsel snagging one of the guard's security badges placing it against the panel. She turned to Lilly, giving a nod of approval. "Subtle. At least we dont have to break in now. Though I am not sure how much of your mind tricks are going to work on the personnel inside. There are a couple options. Fight our way to the underground vault where the holocron most likely is. That includes disabling the security system.

Alternatively, we can just try to sneak inside. Albeit that is harder. The third option is that there are droid defenders and automated defenses. Old school droids that are all linked to a central computer. We hack that, and we can turn those defenses and droids on the others while we get inside and get out."

The door to the building unlocked and Isabsel looked to Lily "So what will it be?"

Shrugging her shoulders, "best to give ourselves the element of surprise to the ones inside. If we killed them, there was more risk of one of them being able to alert those inside and we would have the same situation that we did when we were at the last location." Lily mentioned, clearly learning from her errors and making an effort to adapt and demonstrate she could adopt new styles of approach to the mission.

"Both of us sneaking just means there's a higher chance of someone being caught. And that someone being me. Striking hard is appealing but I have concerns that they might destroy the holocron before we can reach it, if they decide to hold us back and then basically sabotage our mission." Lily sighed, she didn't like the idea of turning the droids and security systems against people, it seemed underhanded in terms of honourable fighting. However, she also knew that the plan of attack was tactically speaking the best option for them.

"I think using the droids and security systems against them is the best idea. I am not the most skilled with hacking and splicing. So, that will be up to you." It was another reason that she was not thrilled with the plan since it was a skill that she had not built and struggled to understand. While she was capable with technology, it was surface level competency and she was far from skilled in terms of the abilities her aunt and others she had seen could do.

Stepping into the building, she pulled her cross guard Lightsaber to hand, holding off igniting it until she needed to.
