RAITHAL ACADEMY OF STRUCTURAL DOCTRINE.
To the LORDS OF THE DIARCHY,

The RAITHAL ACADEMY OF STRUCTURAL DOCTRINE requests permission to send one of our students to the DIARCHY CAPITAL OF BASTION to study the engineering and architectural works happening in the city of RAVELIN following the IMPERIAL-INCURSION from five months ago. It is to our understanding that a great undertaking has gone into the reconstruction effort of several quadrants affected by the attack leading to our interest in DIARCHY architecture and how it differs from the distinct IMPERIAL design of the city.

Our student (VIRETH) is a promising young woman hailing from the planet of KUAT and is the top of her class. Her studies into architecture and design has incorporated modern or classical galactic design but with the formation of THE DIARCHY (a new modern civilization in the present day) invites our curiosity into the cultural impact that they may have upon a planet that has been distinctly connected to IMPERIALISM for over a millennia.

Thank you for reading our request. We look forward to your reply.

R.A.S.D.

RAVELIN, STARDATE: 070725.
FIVE MONTHS AFTER
THE SARTINAYNIAN CRISIS.

The journey from the CORE WORLDS into the Outer Rim Territories is a long one particularly in the modern day with the collapse of hyperlanes and distortions in astronomical data (used by navi computers to calculate hyperspace jumps) following the PLANETSHIFT. It could be worth the long voyage, however. Vireth was curious about what was happening in the Braxant sector since the incursion five months prior; an attack on the old Imperial stronghold of Bastion by Imperial forces controlled by the defunct nations of the Dark Empire and Empire of the Lost. The news circulating in from the attack indicated massive damage to the megastructures and populace of the city by way of a Star Destroyer raining fire onto the planet surface in what analysts were calling a 'surprise attack'.

It made the native Kuati curious. So, she had applied to the Raithal Academy of Structural Doctrine to be given a commission sponsored by the school and arrangement of travel, visa and other necessities to make the long voyage from Kuat to Bastion to see what was going on there. She was told that a letter had been written to the so-called LORDS OF THE DIARCHY with their request and to their avail it had been granted. Vireth was set to meet with someone-- a woman called Xian Xiao-- who worked on behalf of the Diarchs and would be her escort and guide through the city as the Kuati continued their studies into galactic architecture.

After six long weeks of travel the transport Vireth had taken from Kuat arrived delivering her and the other passengers to Bastion. Emerging from the landing ramp, Vireth walked down the ramp in search for the woman she was meant to meet up with. It had been a stipulation for her time in the city for whoever Xian was to be with her at all times. Not that she minded. It would be fascinating to meet and talk with another who was in service to these so-called Diarchs-- an opportunity to learn what the culture was, it's societal impacts on a planet that had once been intertwined with the Imperial remnants, and the effects that they had had on the city itself particularly after the devastation from five months prior which had led to a period of reconstruction and mourning...

Knowing there was going to be a young visitor, Xian had been tasked with providing her with a tour. A combination of the Crucible and Ravelin with a focus on the city. She had been given six weeks to prepare herself, and when the day arrived, she was ready.

She had a datapad, Onyx (at her master's insistence), and a person to drive them around. She was assigned to be with Vireth all of the time. As she wasn't in any classes in the Crucible, Xian was the perfect candidate for this mission. It would also give her the chance to meet other people from different governments.

She had yet to find her place within the Diarchy. Something more than just Rellik's apprentice. Maybe this was a start in that direction. No matter what happened, she would strive to do her best and give this woman a grand tour.

She wore her red hair up in a tight top knot with some strands hanging down her head. Her clothes were new and fit her well. There was a lightsaber clipped to her hip, and she stood while Vireth walked down the ramp of her ship. Xian waited for her near the bottom of it and welcomed her to Bastion.

"I'm Xian Xiao. We have made a room ready for you if you want to rest before beginning."

If she had been travelling for weeks on end, she'd probably want to get settled in before starting anything.

"BASTION ON APPROACH. ALL PASSENGERS ARE TO PREPARE TO DISEMBARK. WE THANK YOU..."

The announcement that the transport Vireth has used to traverse the Core Worlds and some of the Mid Rim systems into the Outer Rim Territories faded into the din as she laid sprawled on the table before her. Golden eyes-- made up of the finest cybernetics money could buy-- averted themselves from the overhead announcement PA system to look down upon the world as it came into focus.

Bastion. The once upon a time mighty Imperial stronghold that first came to prominence under the banded Imperial remnants nearly a millennia ago and where it is said the New Imperial Order (predecessors to the nascent, resurgent Galactic Empire in the Core today) were said to have risen up during the Second Great Hyperspace War.

As the Architect lifted herself up to their feet to collect their belongings to disembark she wondered what they would call this newly birthed Star War that was set to erupt within the territories of the Galactic Alliance...

Xian Xiao said:
"I'm Xian Xiao. We have made a room ready for you if you want to rest before beginning."

"Your hospitality is welcomed after such a long voyage this far out," Vireth replied as she moved to walk beside Xian after disembarking from the transport vessel. "Where will I be staying?"

The older teen greeted their distinguished visitor, who then asked where she would be staying. Turning just slightly, Xian indicated the direction to walk.

"It will be in the Crucible, Ms. Vireth."

It was where most of the Brotherhood, the Diarchs, and guests stayed. Even she lived there, she had requested that Vireth be housed next to her room. That way, if the other woman had any problems or questions, Xian wouldn't be far away.

This was part of the deal when the invitation was sent. She needed to stay with Vireth, but she didn't know why.

"Come with me, please, and I'll show you your room."

She was wearing a longer jacket that buttoned up the front and was longer in the back. Black pants and a white blouse were under the coat.

"How was your journey?"
