The Temple forecourt leading to the entrance of Shiraya's Sanctuary was serene and beautiful, matching the vibrant nature and calm of Naboo itself. Stone depictions of Jedi stood on either side of the approach, with cobbled stone paths leading to it and veering off in various directions, surrounded by gardens all painstakingly cared for each day. Naboo's single star stood at its apex, shining sunlight across the grand Temple, warming those outside during their midday chores and activities.

Among those enjoying the outdoors, one Balun Dashiell sat on a bench with a cigarra in hand, one leg crossed over his knee and his back against the seat, pleasantly taking in the sights. As the Capital of the High Republic and the heart of the Jedi Order, Shiraya's Sanctuary was always open to visitors, members of the Order, and others. Now, the Jedi Knight contemplated the lesson he had just taught the younglings, initiates of the Temple. So far, Balun wasn't a full-time instructor, choosing to keep an open schedule for the sake of his Padawan Cerys Dyn Cerys Dyn , as well as any outside familial obligations. He was not only a Jedi, but also a corporate executive, an entrepreneur of Dashiell Incorporated alongside his brother and father, and the lead developer of Jhaessa Prime. All things considered, he was a man in high demand for his work.

In the aftermath of the recent battle on Thyferra, Balun stayed close to Shiraya's Sanctuary, ever on hand should his former Master Ala Quin Ala Quin require him. While away missions always required Knights and Masters to attend, the young man hadn't dedicated himself to any recently. Thyferra had been a horrific battle, the Sith literally raising the dead in a bid to defeat the Jedi and the army of the Republic. It appeared they were entering open war now, no longer contained by thinly veiled diplomacy and political engagements, but by the invasion of a world on their very border.

Smoking his cigarra in his left hand, Balun held his datapad in his right, active and scrolling through the roster of young students who had attended his class. Teaching the younger generation of the Order was a relief from the more intensive fieldwork he was accustomed to. Younglings held a particularly simple view of the Galaxy around them, a sense of innocence and enthusiasm not yet dulled by the darker nature of their lifestyle. Preparing them for the years to come was vital to being among the mentor body, and they rarely made it difficult for a Knight who still retained his youth and jovial teaching style compared to the older generations.

TAP TAP TAP

The sound was almost keeping time with the mysterious woman's steps. The silver cane in her hand tapped at the stony path ahead of her. That had been a clear enough indication to any who saw her that she was blind, but the mask she wore seemed to emphasize that. It was golden and all encompassing around her head. It did not seem a battle helmet, nor something akin to the Pykes. Whenever she did speak, which was very little to any who excused themselves from intruding on her path, her voice had a slightly echoing metallic sound. It was much like the metallic taps that accompanied her as her walking stick studied the ground ahead of her.

She seemed to walk purely for the sake of it. From the spaceport all the way to the outer perimeter of the Jedi Temple, the mystery woman in blue was just going wherever her feet carried her. Some passerby would whisper to their fellows "I believe I saw her on the other side of the city not an hour ago." Needless to say, many noted how it was hard to not remember a blind woman walking without a droid escort.

Whenever she sensed these thoughts, Mysa always smiled. If they only knew.

Her path ended just near where she sensed the powerful force wilder sitting by himself. When she stopped, her stick rested in front of her while her hands folded over each other at the crown of her tool.

"Excuse me?" she said, her voice slightly echoing from her mask. She bowed before continuing. "Would you mind if I joined you? My walk has made me quite weary."
