Lost | Interacting with [member="Lady Kay"] ~ Start A War ~ "So you want to start a war, in the age of icons?"

It eluded Irella why she had thought this was a good idea.

A fully-armoured Mandalorian, lost in a hedge maze? Imagine it. Then again, she was relatively new to the whole Mando'ade thing, and didn't exactly know what qualified as appropriate behaviour yet, especially as her clan acted as, essentially, an occupying force on this world that had once been beautiful. Was she meant to stand by [member=Ronan Vizsla] and look menacing? She didn't do menacing very well when she wasn't angry. A part of her had been curious, likely. It was a hedge maze, after all, those are awesome, right? The sort of things you read in stories, and, well, Irella had read a lot of stories on Nar Shaddaa.

There was a grunt as an untrimmed branch smacked her in the helmeted face right as the former Padawan rounded a corner in the labyrinth she'd become admittedly adrift in. The unchained Force within her mindlessly wandered over the gardens, picking up on and sensing on the various lifeforms in the area. They didn't help in anchoring herself among the mass of leaves and organic matter, but, worth a try, right?

Worst case scenario, she supposed she could jetpack out. But that would be admitting defeat.

"I swear I've seen this before." The hybrid muttered aloud in a modulated tone, studying a particular curve in the maze with mailed hands on her beskar'd hips. There had to be someone around here who knew the way out.

Kay walked out of the Palace as soon as she could. She needed fresh air as her emotions threatened to overwhelm her. The doom and gloom of the occupation began to surround her like the fleets in orbit around Commenor. It was suffocating.

One of her favourite things to do was to wander into her hedgemaze. The Sith Imperial guards tended to leave her alone when she went in there. Partly due to them not wanting to get lost, but also given that they had it inspected thoroughly a couple of months ago and had noted no secret passageways or compartments hidden in the brush or in the center. It was, for all intents and purposes, just a hedgemaze.

Kay wiped a tear from her cheek, her pace quickening to that of a run as she got inside the maze. She knew where to go, but admittedly, even she could get lost if she was turned around.

An unusual sound caught her attention though. A voice. And what was worse, it sounded like it was helmeted. Kay frowned to herself briefly at the thought of her secluded sanctuary being invaded or destroyed. She quickly wiped her frown from her face and kept her expression neutral as she rounded the corner and came across [member="Irella Vizsla"] . Kay recognized the armour from the meeting earlier. Now what?

She cleared her throat to indicate her presence before speaking. "Looking for something?"

Her back stiffened, and suddenly, the new Mandalorian was ever-so-thankful for the helmet on her head protecting her face, for she had the most ridiculous 'oh, osik' expression across it.

Voices left distinct marks on Irella, like scars on a body. And she would know that voice anywhere, even after only hearing it briefly when Ronan had introduced himself to her Grace.

"Um," She floundered, the helmeted visage tipping in the Queen's direction, "...The way out?" She offered, almost meekly. It was a different look to the hardened warrior who had been beside her aliit during the official 'transfer of power', now seemingly disarmed despite the ever-present beskar'gam that she was starting to feel as a second skin, "You'd probably know your way around." She muttered, the helmet tipping half an inch down as her gaze averted from the Lady. Was that a hint of shame? It could be. This whole situation seemed a little off, didn't it.

Kay had relations to the other Mandos, didn't she? Ah, that made things considerably more awkward. Especially seeing as it seemed more and more like Mando'ade were edging towards the cliff of all-out war. Her mailed hands folded behind her and she studied the Queen in all her regalia now, a little dignity left in the underwhelmed warrior, "Think you can help?"

Kay blinked in surprise as [member="Irella Vizsla"] seemed to be...lost? And was asking for help? Wouldn't her HUD have shown her the way? Maybe she was new to the armour. No doubt Kay would be just as unused to it if she was to wear such a suit. Thankfully her own light armour wasn't so clunky to move around in. It wasn't the greatest when it came to vibroblade attacks or lightsabers, but it was a great shock absorber.

She studied the woman for a moment. A part of her; the part that wanted to get after her for what had happened; had wanted to just leave her there and walk away. But Kay wasn't the mean sort. There had been many occasions where she had befriended an enemy. Whether or not this would happen here, she had no idea. But if she was going to loosen the grip around her neck, this was certainly going to help in that regard.

"Yes. I've been through this maze more than a few times.
It's one of my favourite places for some quiet. This way."
She turned and gestured for the woman to follow her. "How long have you been in here for?"

The slightest frown crossed her face, but it was hidden again under layers of beskar. To ask this of a Queen was certainly improper, a little bit unorthodox, and her allies definitely would have approved, but...

...Well, they weren't here, were they? Her head inclined by half an inch, almost with a modicum of respect, "An hour, I think," In a move likely to be regretted later, mailed fingers hooked under the rim of her buy'ce and lifted the helm from her head to reveal the middle-aged blonde underneath, pale eyes studying the lady before her quiet voice spoke up, accented, not unlike an Imperial and most certainly unlike her aliit, "Thank you."

The Mando followed the Queen gratefully, trailing behind in the maze's depths, "You have a lovely home." Definitely not the right things to say to a monarch who was being oppressed and her homeworld occupied by Sith. At the very least they could sympathize in that regard, as Irella had little love for those dark employers either.

Kay raised a brow as [member="Irella Vizsla"] informed her of the length of time that she had wandered within the maze. And what's more, the woman seemed slightly embarrassed about it all. There were some that would take advantage of such a thing. But she wasn't one of them. "Well, I doubt that you were lost during that entire time...It's probably been a lot shorter than you think."

She looked over to see Irella remove her bucket, revealling her face. That wasn't common. Usually Mandos only did that to people they trusted. "You're welcome..." Kay wasn't certain, but she had gussed that the woman was knew to the Clans, an outsider just like she was.

Her attention was drawn back to where they were going. The last thing that she wanted was to end up getting lost on her own. But a look to the ground revealled one of her markers; pebbles in the shape of an elongated triangle. Kay followed in the opposite direction of where it pointed.

The comment was made about her home. Surely she meant the Palace, as opposed to Commenor as a whole. But then again, the planet was still in great shape. As for the people, they were...adjusting. Some did so quicker than others. "Thank you. The Sith have...restructured it somewhat. Sure they made it more secure in some ways, but they blocked all of our passages and tunnels.
So if there is an emergency, we can't escape unseen..."
Of course that was all done to prevent a rescue. But she wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon.
