All racyon have a love of food and a curious nature, which occasionally leads to mischeif.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Native to Ukatis, the racyon are a semi-sentient species of mammal that have an appearance between a dog and a fox. These small, thickly furred creatures make their home in temperate, forested areas where they live in packs. Racyon have an intense affinity for food and will eat nearly anything, which have lead to groups of racyon raiding unsecured garbage deposits. With their opposable thumbs and mischevious mannerisms, these little beasts have been known to break into chicken coops and other areas secured by basic physical locks in order to feast.

Domesticated racyon are often bred for pest control and general companionship. Farmers and everyday citizens use racyon to hunt vermin and track scents. Racyon have also been utilized to gather particular herbs and truffles that grow in the forest, and can be trained to follow the scent of a human or beast. Nobility have been known to keep racyon of rare patterns and good breeding as status symbols.

Perhaps their most prized trait is a racyon's precognitive abilities. When bonded closely with another sentient, be they racyon, human, or alien, the racyon can share their visions of the future. These visions are ususally breif, lasting only a few seconds, and can display both the mundane and the useful. Racyon have been able to warn their owners of impending dangers such as a barn collapse, or share their foresight of rain. Still, many racyon have used this ability to share predictions of their empty food bowls.

Because of this, some zoologists have argued that racyons may display full sentience, and are pushing for the species to be reclassified accordingly.
