Strengths:
Several Hangar Bays: Unlike it's liberty class brethren the Riptide is Able to house and launch a large number of fighters.
Invincible: This ship is equipped with a Flag Bridge which is buried in the middle section if the ship and is virtually indestructible. It is also built out of Phirk and equipped with engines and a hyperdrive. This is mainly because it is mostly commanded by Prime Minister Custani Valcho I. If and when the Riptide is destroyed the Flag Bridge essitently transformed into a light battle frigate.
Weaknesses:
Power Distribution Failures: This ship was designed as the reborn Malavolence but was not as energy efficient as it's predecessor. Constant Power Distribution problems have occurred throughout the manned flight training of the ship and as such have never been addressed. Prime Minister Valcho was aware of this but preferred that his engineering crew had something to deal with always
Exposed Flight Bridge Superstructure: At the very top of this ship is a large bridge dedicated to operating navigation controls and coordinating weapons Syestems. If destroyed all functions would ceade to both the Flag Bridge and Gunner Bridge which would cause a major power disruption and potentially a collapse of flight control and navigation control.
Description: Prime Minister Custani Valcho desperately needed a wartime Flagship in order to carry out Operation Freedom. He relinquished command of the U.G.F.S Freedom in order to pursue a much more powerful Warship in order to show the rebels on Cadira his symbol of power. His call was answered by the Federation Engineering Corps.
The Corps. had been designing a battleship that would be able to perform in various different combat oriented situations while carrying important cargo.This came in the prototype Valor. Valcho comadeerd the ship and renamed it Riptide. And thus his wartime Flagship was born
