Tython has a Darkside

Despite her exile Selena Halcyon still had business to attend on Tython. Not much, but a few tasks had to be handled. Meeting with people and making a few connections were important tasks for her even in exile. Being a lifelong Jedi prior to it just made it all the more important. However, first and foremost Selena was a servant to the galaxy and its protector. Protecting it from the likes of Sith or those that served the darkside was a very important part of that. For that end, sense the Order no longer directed her, she relied upon the push and pull of the Force to draw her where she needed to be.

With mind clear she had begun her day drifting through the woods of Tython. No direction taken aside from where the Force pulled her along. She soaked in the sounds and life all around her. Reveling in the natural beauty of the planet, and most of all how Force rich it was. Tython seemed like a planet like no other for her. It directly responded to the push and pull of the darkside. Due to how much the inhabitants were focused on the lightside it was an incredible planet to be on. However, for one so in tune with the Force and who practically breathed from it, the small disturbances were very noticeable on the planet.

As she walked she was intensely mindful of a problem. A darkside presence was abound somewhere. Yes, he was hidden through Force techniques, that was evident from the fact that she could not directly find him. A difficult task for any force user really. Unless one knew very specifically for that which they hunted it was difficult to pin point things outside of broad strokes. A task even more complicated where sith sorcery was involved. This particular situation had the stink of it. However, one of the splendid things about Tython was its reaction to the darkside. Due to the presence of the darksider she was aware of essentially where he was because of the effect he had on the planet.

As such, her route had drifted from its original path towards that where the corruption seemed to lay. It was as she got closer that she became aware of a few other presences, likely Jedi from what she could sense. Closer still she heard the voice bouncing about through the trees. Its taunts were humorous to her. Evidently his opponent simply wanted to fight. Surprising from Jedi, but his understanding was flawed. As much as Jedi ideally would want to convert a Sith, typically those potential converts were evident. She doubted one wanting to hide himself from the surroundings would be likely to convert. It was also more likely to reach a Sith once they were beaten and knew that the darkside could not make them stronger.

In the end, she made a wise decision. She dipped into the Art of Small, shrinking her signature and vanishing into the world alone. Her white robes would make her exceptionally difficult to pin point in the fog. Stealth was her game after all being a Jedi Shadow before her exile. Enhancing her strength she jumped into a tree not far from the darksider. Now, one might question how she could peg the approximate location of the Sith while concealed by Sith sorcery. As previously noted, the planet's unique nature reacted to the darkside. Even though a darksider concealed its presence the existence of the darkside was still typically evident, how much more evident would it be for an environment which reacted to the existence of the darkside. The trees and the nature around the area were beginning to turn to its effects, more slowly likely due to the sorcery at play, but she could sense the effects on the planet. The epicenter, not far away, seemingly around one of the nearby trees to her.

She could see the Jedi below foolishly drop his blade. Confidence was not a good trait, especially when it meant dropping such an important weapon. It could possibly draw out the darksider, she was unsure though. Instead she waited. Her hand on her lightsaber, ready to react when the darksider finally did reveal himself.

Soliael didn't speak for the longest time. He was not aware of Selena Halcyons arrival, nor could he have done a thing about it if given the chance. Barely through the mist he saw the Mandalorian drop something, he assumed it was his lightsaber. The Sith pondered for a few minutes, and peered about where they were. He knew they were within the grounds of the Citadel, he knew that the underground would be here. A frown crossed his face as he peered at the Jedi Knight. Fighting the man up close would be unpleasant no matter what.

He wore heavy armor and he doubted that his fighting techniques didn't extenuate that. Soliael peered down, the man now stood only a few feet below him. Orange orbs stared at the man, and the Sith Lord noticed that the Jedi's eyes stared back at him.

“No.” His voice resounded within the tree's again. “Fighting on such worlds is beneath me.”

It was an arrogant statement, and a lie. Soliael knew fully well who this man was. He recognized him from Metalorn and the brief engagement there. His frown turned into a smile suddenly, as he realized fully where they were standing.

Suddenly Soliaels right eye bugged open, his iris expanding almost entirely across the whites of his eyes and black specs floating across the orange. A massive burst of darkside energy left the Sith, lighting him up within the fog like a star in the night sky. Any force user worth his or her metal would see him now, but it did not matter. The energy that Soliael released burst forth from him like a brick wall, jumping and bounding towards the ground...but not the Jedi Standing there.

The bolts of Hatred ran into the fragile ground, raking it and breaking it into a thousand tiny pieces. It tore part the forest floor until it simply gave out. Rocks, tree's and the ground itself gave way and began to fall into the deep black below. Soliael had thrown himself and hopefully the Jedi into the undergrounds of the Black Citadel where Belia Darzu had conducted and stored her Techno-beasts.

As the tree he stood upon fell into the black pit Soliael seemed to smile, preparing himself to land within the dark tunnels below.

"You're....bad...at...lying.."Tracyn said, as he landed in the area beneath. He wasn't sure where he was, and he was sort of disoriented for a moment. He felt the energy buildup, and waited to join everyone he ever knew in the great...whatever was after death. All that 'being part of the force' crap. The area around him gave, and Tracy, reacted quite well. He was calm under pressure, he was very good at what he did. He slid on his legs, his armor scraping on the ground as he tumbled to the ground beneath. It was dark, and the fog poured down into the hole for a moment. His lightsaber was several meters away, but Tracyn knew that any risk to get it was worth it. He crept silently, and slowly took a deep breath. He was a commando, time to act like it.

And then the Sith had to land right in front of it, on a tree no less. Tracyn threw his arms up in protest, before holding out his hand out. His lightsaber pulled back to him, and he looked at the area below him. Not a pleasant, nor very pleasing to the eye area. Or anything. Tracyn tapped his foot, and held his lightsaber hilt in his hand. Through the darkness, the blue blade escaping it's hilt was no less a sight to behold."See, you done goofed now. I know you aren't gonna fight me up close...and I know that for a fact, when little miss sunshine like yourself punked out of the fight and had to get rescued by big daddy brim hat, whoever that was. Oh, and, by the way, screw you."Tracyn said, gathering the force into his legs. He jumped upwards, and came up to the tree. He scrambled up with the speed of a raging raccoon, and then stared at the Sith."You had a pretty little cushy deal, you little twerp. Thanks a bunch for having to go ahead and ruin it. Oh, and uh, by the way.."Tracyn inhaled sharply, gathering oxygen for his muscles, and pivoted on his heel towards the tree. The tree bark gave way, the full thickness of it. Tracyn could kick dents in durasteel, with his powered up legs. Years of kicking and punching things, and knowing how to do them well, helped. He kicked the piece of the tree straight at Sol, with a slight snarl from his mouth."You may not wanna fight me fair, and that's fine. I hate to say it, but you just put yourself in a small space with a guy who likes to be up close and personal, as you remember. Jerk."Tracyn said, curling his armored hands. The brutality in which Tracyn displayed, could be both admired, and despised by some.

The moment that the darksider began to act Selena's eyes shot wide open. The explosive force of it shattered the ground beneath them, a possibility not typically in the cards had they not been over ancient ruins. Ruins. Her mind raced as her tree began to fall into the cavern beneath the group. The shock of the events might cause many to briefly drop the use of the Art of Small for a moment, but Selena was used to the unexpected happening. The racing in her mind was not from panic or shock. Instead it was for information. What did she know about this citadel they were beneath? What could they now be exposed to?

Answers the questions did not come quickly. But as the tree hit the ground it began to fall over, shifting her footing and orientation allowed her to mostly ride it down without much cause for alarm. The quickness of her movements fluid, guided by the Force was the only way she could have successfully done it. She crept out from the limbs onto the broken ground quietly. Her eyes never left the tree which the darksider had been revealed to be on. She did her best to pay no heed to the blathering of the Jedi Knight.

While her eyes and ears focused on the darksider, her senses lingered on the world around them. This darksider was no fool, his display of power hinted at that much. This environment was not inherently better than the previous one and since he had not attacked the Jedi in the moment of the collapse it was clear that something was amiss. The mystery gave her pause. However, the intention was irrelevant to some extent, and could be handled in time. A moment of opportunity existed. She took five long strides forward, and quickly flipped her silver blade on and instantly snapped another switch which caused the blade to double in length and burst into a bright purple. The attack aimed directly at the torso of the darksider.

Soliael wasn't a fool, Selena's assumption had been correct. He had brought them down here for a reason, and that reason was simple. Within the darkness there was something else. Deep within the caverns there was what Soliael was searching for, what he had come to Tython to find. When the tree Soliael had been standing on had crashed into the ground the Sith had prepared himself to move immediately. He was no fool.

The instant that Tracyn began to move toward him Soliael began to move back. He seemed to vibrate slightly as the force infused with every fiber of his being, and then he simply bounded off the branch of the tree, his body a blur as the force allowed him to move faster than normally possible.

Again he had no idea that Selena had been coming, it had been a massive coincidence that in dodging Tracyn's attack, he had also dodged Selenas stab. The slab of wood that had been sent towards Soliael now flew directly at Selena, while Soliael landed several feet away from the tree and further into the darkness of the caverns. His eyes lit slightly as a smirk fell on his face. He saw the other lightsaber just as he landed. A sense of smugness entered him, as if it had all been done on purpose.

From behind him Soliael heard noises. His ears perked slightly as the sound of shuffling feet and clanking metal. His smirk grew even wider, they were coming. He had known they would be here, and he had been right.

Slowly Soliael shifted himself, his eyes spying the two Jedi within the darkness. He set a foot forward and brought up both of his hands, preparing for their inevitable counter attack. He had an edge, he knew what was within the deep.

The darksider moved, and once he was gone her lightsaber vanished in turn. The impossibility of his dodge barely even flashed in her mind. The Force acted in curious ways, sparing him in this way made her wonder. However, her duty still demanded her to take action. Her lightsaber off allowed her to vanish into the darkness again. The portion of the tree going at her was on no interest to her. She dodged it with grace then vanished back into the dark.

Truly it was in this kind of environment that she probably at her most deadly form. Unlike most Jedi she preferred to only have her lightsaber on when absolutely necessary. Combat in a dark space was not one of them. And so she vanished, all the more aided by the fact that the light would cause eyes to adjust poorly in the darkness. It was when she drifted between fallen trees, plotting her next attack that she began to hear the sounds in the distance. Rumblings. Movement, and along with them a strange sensation in the Force.

She could not exactly fathom what they were from, but she expected they were why the darksider wanted them in this location and not on the surface. She would need to act again soon. Probably in a similar fashion but how often could a man blindly predict attacks that should not be able to be predicted?

Soliael stood within the blackness, his eyes adjusting quickly. The other Jedi turned off her lightsaber again, and disappeared. He could not sense her, here she blended in. He frowned slightly, looking at the other Jedi. He seemed to be no threat for now, so Soliael focused on the other. He remained silent, thinking and concentrating, trying to find the Jedi within the deep. When he could not his frown turned into a scowl, She would be a threat here, she would be what got him, not the brute in armor.

It would be the Knife in the dark.

He began to gather energy, the force building inside of him. Behind him he heard the incessant clanking, the wall of techno-beasts that moved toward him.

Soliael lashed out his arm, and a massive spark of red lightning jumped out from the tips of his fingers. The spark landed not towards either of the Jedi, not towards any one person. Instead the bolt of red lightning struck one of the felled tree's within the darkness. A massive fire broke out in an instant, the energy of the darkside becoming flames. The fire spread quickly, jumping from fallen tree to tree.

Within minutes the whole of the room seemed to be on fire and light fell over the darkness. Soliael stood at the edge of the light, and slowly behind him came Techno-beasts. Their zombie like forms wandered and shuffled in formation behind Soliael.

The Sith smirked, his allies had come.

Technobeasts, by definition, were cyborgs. And cyborg, meant part robot. And destroying robots, was a very favorite past time of Tracyn. Tracyn turned back to Soliael, and then to the Technobeasts. He deactivated his lightsaber for a moment, running up to the technobeasts. Lumbering and frightening as they were, once you fight Basilisk war droids, you slowly forget the intimidation of most other robotic deities and forms of such and suchforth. Tracyn went up to one, pressing his bare hands into it. What occured, was not pleasant. A direct force burst, send pieces of it flying in all directions, and the shrapnel tore about nearby Technobeasts, and then he turned back to Soliael, twirling and reactivating his lightsaber.

"Fight me like you've got some sliver of honor left, you son of a queen."He said, standing in a slightly aggressive form, with his lightsaber down at his side, pointed up slightly and his knees bent, and his fist curled at his side. Tracyn wanted to tear him apart, and everything in the room. And if he let Tracyn work, it would not bode well for the Sith's plans. Then again, Tracyn was also on Tython."The smart thing to do would be to not reveal yourself...But since we're on homefield, we might as well call home team."Tracyn reached down to his Comm unit on his neck, pressing the button with his non-lightsaber wielding hand."Knight Ordo to Wildcards, and all Jedi on Tython. We have a Sith presence and Sith units on site, at the location of this transmission. Single Sith unit, advised to bring multiple units..Ordo out."Tracyn put his hand back, resuming the aggressive stance.

"You should run away, like you did on Metalorn..."He said with a bit of a snarl in his voice.

The call of battle, an uncommon broadcast in Tython... nevertheless, Vex was one of the Jedi present in the planet when it was sent. It didn't take quite a long time for the Jedi to arrive onboard one of the shuttles that came from the Temple along with some of the Republic Troops, nevertheless, the young man raised an eyebrow when he noticed a strange citadel deep in Tython... one that seemed desolated but that apparantely was not subject to a Sith incursion, or at least scout.
Close to the citadel, around a few trees, there was a hole in the ground that lead deep below to what seemed to a cave; and that lead to the source of the transmission sent by Knight Ordo.
As soon as the shuttle touched the ground around one of the empty fields close to the citadel and the cracked hole in the ground, the young man hopped out along with some of the units that came along heavily armed. Stretching his senses to the Force, the young man attempted to feel the surroundings and gain focus for the task at hand.
The strong presence of two strong lightsiders could be felt along with one single darksiders... it was weird for the young man to answer a call when a Sith was definetely outnumbered, but he was not one to question his superiors. With a strong but calmned voice, he proceeded to provide a few instructions without real knowledge if the guards would heed a padawan "No darksider will taint Tython! Cover all exits from the Citadel, prepare ropes. We are going down."

The fires lit up the arena. They also burned the fringes of her white robes, troublesome really. For now her greatest aid to hid was not the darkness, as that was now gone, but instead the fires. They were natural barriers but incredibly dangerous ones. They also would not mean much to the darksider in the end but they could serve her still. The arrival of the technobeasts made sense. It was clear that they were why this was the kind of arena that the darksider had sought. However, she intended to pay them no attention. That was until they became an immediate threat.

The arrival of more Jedi was good. They would need more. A large host of technobeats were under these ruins. It really was a wonder that the Jedi had not cleared them out years ago.

Finally she had gotten closer to the darksider and launched the except same attack as before. A suddenly ignited duel phase blade right towards his shoulder blade.

This time Soliael didn't have luck on his side, he did not magically escape Selena's attack, nor did he see it coming. He did however manage to survive. The Snap and the Hiss of the lightsaber was enough for Soliael to get warning, and in the instant of the lightsaber igniting the Sith Lord had already begun to twist his body. The Lightsaber singed his flesh, biting into his back and slicing a small bit of flesh out of his non-existant love-handles. Soliael let out a scream of rage as he bounded away from Selena and closer towards the technobeasts.

He jumped towards the mechanical monsters landing just a food away from the cyborg zombies. For a brief few seconds, they lurched towards him, as if to attack. Then they stopped themselves, becoming more drone like an docile. They moved around him like an ocean around a massive boulder.

They ignored him completely, and Soliael let out a soft sigh. The Techno-beasts would provide a momentary reprieve from the Jedi assault, they would have to batter their way through the small army to reach him.

In his moment of solitude Soliael extended his arm, reaching out and with only the tip of his finger and catching it on one of the sharp edges of the strange creatures. Blood pooled on his finger, and dripped down. The Sith smiled slightly. He now had what he came for.

“Well, it seems the day has not been a total loss.” Soliael said quietly as he began to feel the techno-virus rush through his veins. Now he just had to get out of here. With practiced eyes the Sith looked up into the dark hole above. The fog seeped into the cavern now, and getting back up there would be a problem. Soliael frowned slightly, thinking of his escape.

The Republic soldiers rushed as much as possible in order to go down, they brought as much rope as possible while they created a perimeter around the hole and almost all the citadel. Perhaps they were not a complete army but it was a force to be reckoned, especially if the one they would face was a darksider.

Vexander could just jump into the hole since he knew that he could use the Force to hover and land safely, he could even surprise the enemies down below... but the transmission requested for the whole team to go together... perhaps to overwhelm the enemy.

Regardless of the reasons, the young man knew when to comply with orders; but a scream coming down the hole made the young man look down to the dark hole and to use all his senses to feel what was down there.

Just at that moment, a team of 10 commandos were ready to go down, fully armed with SR-26 submachine guns and a couple with RXW-AC2 assault cannons. Strapped tight with rappel equipment, they all went down in one jump while others stayed up holding the perimeter and covering the area.

"Cover any Jedi down there, purge all enemies from the area men!" said Vexander with his strong militaristic voice, but with a calmned demeanor, then he turned around to the remaining officers up there. "Get a second wave ready, no one leaves the hole until we know that there are no more Sith down there"

At that moment, Vex opened a channel at the same frequency used to call for reinforcements and talked "Knight @[member="Tracyn Ordo"], this is Padawan Vexander Graves. We have a team of commandos going down. I am ready to go down at your command... over"

@Selena Halcyon @Soliael Devin Talith

Selena noticed that more Jedi had assembled around the edge of the crater. They were augmented by other soldiers from a local garrison. They opened fire on the technobeasts. Good, she thought. It meant that she did not have to worry about the beasts at all. Instead she could focus on the darksider when he tried to flee.

Soliael watched as the Republic began to tear apart at the hulking wave of techno-beasts. He smirked slightly, now was the time to leave. The commando units were here, more Jedi were here, and dozens of others were likely on the way. It was most definitely time to get off Tython. For a few seconds Soliael concentrated, he let the darkside build up inside of him, he gathered it within himself, like a massive font of power.

With a smug smirk he looked at Selena, staring directly in her eyes.

Suddenly tears of blood fell from the bottom rim of Soliaels eyes. It poured from him in droves. This was the first time the blood had come from both eyes, and thousands of black specs floated across Soliaels eyes. For a brief few seconds he was completely blind. Then Soliael himself began to shift. His entire being began to phase in and out of reality for a few seconds, and then Soliael simply...split. He became two beings, and then four, and then six.

In just a split second six exact copies of Soliael stood within the cavern, surrounded by techno-beasts. They all smiled at the same time, and each of them spoke in unison. “Sometimes. You have to live to fight another day.”

With that the six Soliaels began to move. Each of them moved in different directions. Two moved into the blackness of the caverns, and the rest began to pour forward towards the hole in the ceiling. They bounded off of tree's, rubble, and anything else they could grab. They managed to reach the edge of the pit and crawl out. One was immediately shot, and it shimmered and disappeared, the other three bounded through and above the cluster of Republic Commando's, going in separate directions into the wood.

The heavy blaster fire from below could be heard with an echo, several places down the hole could be seen due to the lights generated by the ignited blaster shoots. From what Vex could tell, there were far more targets than just one Sith.

Vex stretched his Jedi senses down the hole, he couldn't really feel anything at all other than... four different figures imbued with the darkside of the Force. Opening his eyes widely and noticing the figures going up he began to order the soldiers around: "Fire at will! Shoot them!"

It didn't take a long time for the Corellian Padawan to notice the distinctive figure of the darksiders present... anyone could tell that they were the same and even dressed in the same way... the presence through the Force felt quite similar... everything pointed out that they were one and at the same time they weren't.

One of the figures was shoot inmediately while the others prepared an escape above the commandos. Vexander took the opportunity in mid air and attempted to Force Push one of the figures with his left hand while the right had his ignited lightsaber. Without even looking if he managed to take the darksider down, he proceeded to follow the other one, the one in the middle while he ordered a group of 5 commandos to follow the one left "Do not let him escape!!!"

Using what he knew, the young man increased his agility and speed with the help of the Force and began to run towards the woods were the figure he was chasing went and where he hoped he would get him.

Well, illusions are fun. Selena knew a thing about them but she did not really have the time to get a look at any of them before they vanished. The other major difficulty was her lack of telekinetic skills. Jumping out of a pit became a little difficult for her. Sure, physical enhancement was nifty but it had its limits. So she kind of just looked up around the edges and started climbing on up. Totally inconvenient. Much annoying. But she got out of the fallen in area and started running after the darksider.

Soliael ran, or rather all five remaining copies of Soliael ran. They split up, each going in a different direction. One of them was being followed by commando's, another by a Jedi padwan, and yet another by a Jedi Master. It was interesting, that the Sith could keep up such a skill for so long. Blood still rushed from his eyes, and the black specs found him becoming increasingly blind as he moved through the woods. Finally after they got farther and farther away the clones began to disappear.

The one the comando's were chasing was the first to go, it vanished in a puff of smoke. The next was the one the Padawan was chasing. Only three remained after that, three Soliaels.

Two were still within the tunnels rushing in opposite directions, and the third was running from Selena dashing through the wood. They each moved with inhuman speed, the force rushing through their already enhanced bodies.

Vexander watched in surprise as the one he was following disappeared in a strange cloud... and with a strange puff as well. The young man watched surprised at the fact that he was following just a decoy... A slight upsetting feeling rushed through his veins just as much as the adrenaline running through his system kept flowing.

"My target disappeared. No enemies on sight. Report Team!" said the man through the holocom as he looked around and reached through the Force for traces of the enemy. Within just a few seconds, the commandos chasing one of the copies of the Sith reported back that his own target disappeared under the same circumstances.

"Sith spit! Knight @[member="Tracyn Ordo"], we lost two targets." Vex reached through the Force and attempted to sense the location of the last target... the one he thought he Force pushed... "Any visual on the last target? What are our orders?" said to the general comm channel they were using, expecting further communication from either the Knight that summoned him or any other Jedi that could be in range.

Kiyron

Guest
Kiyron peered down into the woods from his vantage on the ridge-line. He switched his scope to thermal, and blinked, very confused. How many people were running through the forest? More than he expected, anyways. He scanned back down over to the citadel as the last charges were placed, and the teams hurried to a safe detonation distance. Moments later the blast rumbled through the air as the old structures imploded and fell to the ground with a crash. Kiyron nodded, and turned back to the woods, frowning. He tapped the comm. "Any Wildcards with speeders or still in-flight. Form a perimeter around the woods. Nobody gets out without being checked." He paused, thinking. "But if it's a Sith, don't get yourselves slaughtered."
He lifted the rifle again, and gestured to his team. "Too much cover for us to work here. Two remain with thermals for recon. Everyone else, with me. Double time." They started jogging down the slope, angling away from the woods with the hopeful intention to be on the far side as the thermal people ran off. Granted, going by the speed of some, they must have had speeders or something, so it was unlikely.

Soliael ran through the woods, the real Soliael. The one that Selena Halcyon had been chasing, he had been the real one. Luckily the Jedi Master had not been so keen to the chase as she had been in her attacks, and for whatever sick tragedy Soliael had managed to lose her. As he neared the sight of his Blackbird the illusions that were no miles in the other direction began to flash and fade away. They disappeared in slow methodical fading, as if turning to dust.

The Sith reached his stealth fighter out of breath and nearly dead. His skin was pale, his eyes were dark and almost faded, blood still dripped from them and the veins and blood vessels in his face seemed to stand up from his skin.

Slowly the Soliael managed to pull away the camouflage net from his ship, tossing it to the ground and leaving it for others to find, he had no time to pack it up. With strained effort the false god pulled himself into the cockpit of the Blackbird, throwing himself into the ships pilot seat. Without a moment of hesitation Soliael began to flip a dozen switches within the ship. The black flames of the engines came to life and the Blackbird jumped from the ground.

The Stealthfighter was ready to go only a split second after he started it up, its engines flared to life and the canopy dropped in one swift motion.

Soliael pressed the control yoke forward and pushed the black ship off the ground. The Blackbirds Matte black paint made it blend perfectly with the Tython night sky, its energy dampeners and near flawless profile made it move lithely through the sky. Within seconds Soliael once again found himself staring at the blackness of space.
