Types of Starship Help?

Alright so, as some of you know i made a new faction called The Awoken not to long ago, a faction of those dedicated to the study and innovation of Witchcraft and such. Thing is i did not want to anchor this faction to a single planet or specific location. My plan was to make a gigantic starship that could serve as the factions place of home, study, and base until we get more developed and possibly become a bigger faction. At first, i wanted to make a Flagship since they were the biggest but saw that only Major Factions could have one of those. And looking at all the other types of ships i have no clue what kind of ship thing thing is supposed to be.


Simply put, it's a behemoth of a ship that...on the surface does not really do much. Built like a bloody space tank with super slow maneuverability and designed to take a lot of hits but not to really dish out that much damage. I was thinking a Carrier but i'm not certain and i have a tendency to hesitate when i am not sure about something. Ultimatum & Darth Erebos are both helping me with the conception of a smaller collection of ships but the one i need help with is like...going to be the 'crown jewel' of The Awoken. Picture a jedi temple designed as a ship or something lol.


Also, i am not super well versed in star wars like others are so thats another reason i'm a little baffled by all these concepts of transportation and such x_x.

[member="Winter Sovereign"], sounds like you're interested in making a Praxeum ship of some sort. There are a couple good examples of them on Wookieepedia that might help give you some ideas.

If you're not fully comfortable designing or building one yourself, I'm certain that there are manufacturers (such as Sasori above) who would be happy to design and build one for you, or help you with one in the process.

As a minor faction, you are allotted one ship between the ranges of 400 and 1,000 meters per active member (writer) of your faction.
Typically, a few extra sub-400 meter ships doesn't raise any eyebrows so long as the total numbers are not... too extravagant.


In that size range, here are a handful of canon ships that may be useful to you, in order of... probable interest.


Sh'ner-class Planetary Assault Carrier: 750 meters (take a very serious look at this one)
Bothan Assault cruiser: 850 meters (simple, strait forward design and armament... "traditional" starship appearance)
MC140 Scythe-class Main Battle Cruiser: XXX meters (Mon-Cal ship that could make an interesting base of operations)
Harrower-class Dreadnought: ~800 meters (For the darksider in all of us)

Lwhekk-class Manufacturing ship: 624 meters
Acclamator-class Assault Ship: 752 meters


Sabaoth Destroyer: XXX meters (cool looking ship that would makes a decent 200-400 meter escort frigate)
