Hypersonic Shredder of Star Wars: The Old Republic
Intent: To give Tyger Tyger a unique weapon to enhance brand recognition and offer me, the player, a more interesting fighting style with which to work
Development Thread: Playing with Fire [Vs. First Order]
Manufacturer: Custom
Model: Customized bowcaster
Affiliation: Tyger Tyger
Modularity: Already customized. Unlikely to be developed further.
Production: Unique
Material: Standard Materials, Cortosis
Description: The strengths include the heavy impact inherent to the weapon, as well as the range of usable ammo added by the customization. Drawbacks include the dependence of teamwork for one of the settings, the weight of the weapon, and the heavy recoil.Though the weapon can be drawn and fired quickly, it is by no means a good option for the smuggler hoping to be quick. While it was once prone to destruction by both blaster and lightsaber attacks, its new cortosis underbelly offers the weapon a profound degree of resistance. As per the nature of cortosis, the metal causes lightsabers to temporarily short out upon impact (Though, with continued strikes, the lightsaber and blaster will eventually win out).
Classification: Modified Bowcaster
Size: Handheld
Status: Undeclared
Length: .445meters
Weight: 6.38kg
Ammunition Type: This modified bowcaster has three settings, each engaged by a switch near the trigger well:

Power cell – Fires blaster bolts that hit with a heavier impact than a traditional rifle at the cost of an increased recoil. Shots can ricochet off certain surfaces, provided they are of a harder metal and contact is made at an angle.

Explosive-tipped quarrels- A cylindrical, explosive-tipped metal arrow-like thing that is hurled through the air via a magnetic field created by the polarizing orbs at the end of the bow. Losing the range of the blaster bolts, the choice to carry explosive-tipped ammo offers a shot akin to a fast, straight-flying grenade launcher fire. As larger, straight-firing ammunition, they tend to be more easily stopped by Force-Walls wielded by Jedi and the like, the resulting explosion and short-range of fire acting toward Tyger Tyger’s detriment. This setting allows for quarrels to be auto-fed.

High-caliber quarrel - This setting is for a larger quarrel fired with a much more insane impact. Ammo is manually drawn and loaded, a requirement making it impossible for Tyger Tyger to load this round without the assistance of Akk Akk or another similarly large entity. Due to this setting’s slow, cooperative load time and high kickback, it is understood to be designed for Anti-Material efforts.

Ammunition Capacity: 150 shot power cell; 6-round auto-load exploding quarrel magazine; single round manual load high-caliber quarrel (The power-cell and magazine can be left in the weapon until needed; the higher-caliber round is carried on Tyger Tyger until it’s time to fire)

Effective Range: Energy bolt – 100m (Optimum), 300m (MAX); Exploding quarrel – 30m (Optimum), 50m(MAX); High-Caliber Quarrel – 30m (Optimum), 100m (MAX)
