- Stealthy: Between it’s black reflec-coated hull, specially tuned engines, and scrambled comms equipment, the TX-05 is incredibly difficult to detect and lock weapons onto.
- Speedy: With next to no armor plating and a meager armament, the TX-05 is fast and nimble for a ship of it’s classification.
- Poor Armament: While it does possess nose-mounted cannons and a dorsal turret, neither of these emplacements can fire to the rear or downwards, leaving a significant blind-spot in its firing arcs.
- No Armor: To allow for increased speed and maneuverability, the TX-05 has no true armor plating, leaving it vulnerable once its shields are down.
So Imperial engineers were brought together to create a solution, and eventually the TX-05 was born. Boasting a wide array of stealth technologies, the TX-05 was designed to slip past enemy sensors undetected and quietly deploy it's payload before retreating. In the unlikely event that it was detected, the ship was equipped with cannons and shields, though it wouldn't last long in a straight on fight against dedicated Starfighters and relied on never being caught in the first place to survive.
Capable of holding up to two squads of troopers and their equipment, the TX-05 can rapidly deploy its passengers through the either the main ramp under it's nose, or the twin assault ramps on either side of the troop bay. The cockpit can be sealed off from the troop bay, allowing for deployment of vacuum-equipped troops into space for extra-vehicular operations. The main cannons on the nose can be fired by either the pilot or co-pilot, although only the co-pilot station has control of the dorsal turret, allowing the pilot to focus on flying the ship,
