- Simple Radar. The speeder has a very primitive radar system that can detect objects some distance away.
- Scout vehicle. The twisted sandrunner is an incredibly fast and agile craft. It is capable of keeping up with the likes of speeder bikes and pod racers.
- Very Cheap. The twisted sandrunner is primarily made from scrap, taken from other land speeders. These can be easily constructed from cheap or discarded parts, as long as the right mechanic is doing the work.
- Light Defenses. The twisted sandrunner has no sort of defense against most heavy weapons, as it has no shielding. Though it's titanium plates protect the vehicle from small arms/light blaster fire.
- Impossible repair. If the sandrunner has been significantly damaged, there is usually no way to repair the vehicle without deconstructing the entire thing. Though some very minor repairs are possible.
Twisted Sand is still a young and growing organization, but as they do grow a need for transportation arises. While their sandcrawlers are dependable vehicles, they don't exactly move quickly, the simple solution was to make a proper landspeeder that could do the job. Thus, the first prototype sandrunner was made from deconstructing an X-34 Landspeeder and adding a duel-blaster cannon.
Twisted Sand has only a couple of these vehicles, though due to their cheap and modular nature acquiring more would not be a hard task. Should they acquire more parts that is.
