Konrad examined the new recruits who were all bright eyed and bushy tailed unaware of the misfortune they willingly brought upon themselves by answering the Brigadier General's recruitment ad. Over two thousand men were drawn in by the promise of a handsome wage and the prestige of being a part of Brigadier General von Grimmelshausen's personal unit. They were only foolish youths but that was what the Sith had wanted. However, Konrad was not just going to train them, he was going to break them, destroy everything about them and turn them into the obedient soldiers who would jump off a bridge under the Brigadier General's order if that was what the man wanted.
Many could not forget the first time they met Konrad in a training ground where the man had gathered them all. The training ground was surrounded by soldiers who were equipped with blaster rifles and snipers surrounding the area. The group thought nothing of it at the time which was unfortunate. They remembered Konrad announcing that "From this moment, any who tried to leave will be shot down."
A part of the group thought the man was joking while another part thought he was crazy and started to leave. The distinct sound of a blaster being shot stopped the new recruits in their tracks. Konrad always got what he wanted from his men. That was their first lesson and sadly, would not be their last. The crowd of over two thousand was now down to a crowd of approximately one thousand eight hundred men but there was still more cuts to be made to seperate the best from anything less.
