DESCRIPTION
The Turmoil pistol is a further perfection of the technology that Ultimatum put into the Entropy rifle. This pistol trades off several of the advantages that were connected with the Entropy rifle's design and its kin the Skonitropy. The first advantage is the overcoming of the heating issue with major reinventing of the cooling system. The weapon also no longer relies on the bulky generator that was the mainstay of the weapons ammunition. Instead of using a reactor, this weapon uses a core of crystalline structure that containes the same energy. The small core is easier to reload and simpler to handle. This has of course limited the weapons ammo capacity to a very small amount. The weapon is naturally somewhat heavy for its design which on top of the naturally low recoil from the pulse creates near perfect lack of recoil.

The lack of a reactor has not removed the fact that the energy is unstable. A blaster bolt to the magazine can cause the energy to immediately explode in a smaller blue detonation. This is not as large as the ones in the Entropy or Skonitropy, but it is still capable of removing a user's arm or more depending on stance at the moment of detonation.

As with both previous weapons, the Turmoil is a semi-standard disruptor which causes all materials to break apart on the atomic level. This weapon has become less powerful than its previous iterations, the disintegration effect is confined to a small area around the impact site, though it burns all the way through the person in most cases. The effect is slower in causing damage than the originals, which blasted a person into dust in a moment. This weapon burns through a person, leaving a centimeter wide hole in whatever it comes across along the way for about a meter, over the course of several seconds. Due to this fact, it is possible for the shot person to continue to fight until their body reacts to the damage, whether it be going into shock, fainting, or dying.

Unlike the previous designs, Ultimatum refined the pulse to be more potent in standard damage output, which causes it to pass through a person rather than simply strike and damage what is in the immediate area of the shot site. This also has the effect of allowing it to pass through conventional light vehicle shields. However, it becomes almost entirely ineffective when it strikes. The shield disrupts the concentration of its energy such that when it hits a target it does not continue through as intended but does just like the Entropy, beginning at the site it causes disintegration around the site as well as simply absorbing some of the energy itself. This makes it ineffective on most armored opponents as the shot simply causes damage to the armor and requires several shots to actually kill the protected individual. This does give it a possible use as creating an entry way into a shielded vehicle, burning holes in the side to create a gap for a person to fit through.
