Rayne Runner | Trash Mobile Home
A hollow thunk sound echoed throughout the lop-sided wreckage of what was once the luxury casino yacht, the Morning Frost. A sprinkler system malfunction lead the various heads to only partially put out water, not seeming to curb many of the ongoing fires. A man armed with various explosives toppled to the ground, looming above him an unnaturally tall woman holding a metal pipe.

It had been a fairly normal day, at least as far as high-class expos went. Rayne didn't frequent these sorts of places, but she had managed to win an invitation in a cereal box. Lucky her. Of course, she didn't have any high-end clothes to wear so she felt very out of place for the entire function, surrounded by all of these business types looking to sell a product. Most were often disappointed when she insisted that she had no money.

And then about half way through the function it all went to hell. Pirate, no shock considering it was in the Outer Rim. The yacht had cheeped out in its defenses, and it left them vulnerable. The whole thing became a war zone real fast, between the panicking guests, the pirate raiders, and the several military defense contractors at the venue. Somewhere along the way the ship took critical damage, how she wasn't sure. The vessel would come careening through the atmosphere of Greyman's Planet and wind up on the shoreline, half submerged in the ocean. Rayne had been lucky enough to find herself a fridge to hide in, of course frantically throwing all the bottles of wine out of it so she wasn't eating glass when the ship crashed. Her shoes were still sticky. She hardly had time to process anything before she came across the sight of someone unconscious, being loomed over by one of the pirates that managed to make it. So, she grabbed the nearest pipe and...

Here she was, looking down at a stranger. They looked to have been hit in the head themselves pretty good.

"Hey!" Rayne called out, though through the vocoder clipped to her utility belt as opposed to speaking verbally.

The scrapper knelt down and gave the stranger a shake.

"Uh, if you're alive, wake up!" she requested, a bit confused at what to even do. She wasn't a doctor. "That would make my life way easier if you weren't dead..."

Her eyes drifted to look over the wreckage. This was a disaster. How was she even supposed to get off of this heap of smoldering garbage? Hopefully some of the exits were still in tact. As she pondered on what to do, movement caught her attention. The stranger wasn't dead. Rayne quickly turned back to look.

"Oh!"

OOC: Just a lil scenario I thought might be fun. Anyone joining would be jumping in to assume the role of the person who's been hit in the head. This is a team-up plot, but I'm cool with any sort of unlikely ally ideas people may have for a sort of escape/survival scenario. That be all, thanks in advance.

RONHAR TANE?
GREYMAN'S PLANET
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

Ronhar was having one hell of a time.

His eyes fluttered open and shut before he can back into consciousness, his vision fuzzy for a few seconds before clearing back up. He groaned as he stood up, trying to get bearings of his surroundings. He was on a beach? He had been knocked out? Some massive, yellow skinned Twi'lek was standing over him?

Wait, what?

With a yelp, Ronhar scrambled backwards away from the mysterious woman, his heart pounding in his chest. "Oh jeez, you scared the daylights out of me!", Ronhar panted as he struggled to stand upright. Breathing heavily, Ronhar looked around, at least able to discern the wreckage of a ship some distance away from him. He groaned again as he rubbed the back of his head, clearly in a rather large amount of pain. When the ship of crashed, he must have hit his head quite hard, because he couldn't remember a single thing that had transpired prior to the downing of the ship he was on.

In fact, he couldn't remember anything about who he was or what he was going on the ship, except for his name: Ronhar Tane. Ronhar had developed a rather serious cause of amnesia, it seemed!

He glanced downwards at the pirate laying beside him, and then back to Rayne Lo'to Rayne Lo'to , clearly still holding the pipe in her hand.

"Is he...did you...", Ronhar gasped, slowly backing away from the hulking figure. "Please don't hurt me, I don't know what's going on and I just want to get out of here!", Ronhar exclaimed as he tried to put as much distance between him and the mysterious stranger in front of him. Of course, under normal circumstances he would have recognized Rayne immediately, but for the moment he truly had no idea who she was. Worse still, he was dressed in civilian garb for some reason, completely devoid of any of his normal equipment that he might have otherwise been carrying with him. But why? Even if he were undercover, he'd at least have something on him to defend himself if he needed to.

Still, even if he had been armed, in his current state Ronhar probably wouldn't actually have been able to defend himself anyway. The bump he had taken on his head had apparently caused him to forget his military training, and for the moment he was genuinely terrified of the Twi'lek in front of him. Honestly, if the situation wasn't so desperate, it would have been comical the way Ronhar was acting toward Rayne.

Of course, the question now was not how Ronhar would react to Rayne, but how Rayne would react to Ronhar? Would she believe him that he had no memory of who he was? Or would she think it was a trick, a trap designed to fool her in some way?"

Rayne stared at the man in a daze for a moment before she shook her head and began to speak through her vocoder.

"Hey, get a grip! That guy was a nasty, filthy, no good pirate and he was about to steal all your stuff probably!" a robotic voice answered. It was a feminine protocol droid vocoder, and clearly one that was a tad on the sassy side. "You're gonna hyperventilate freaking out like that, and this place is actively burning. Gosh."

The tall woman let out a muted sigh as she reached up to massage the base of her lekku. Being here was already giving her such a headache. She just needed to tackle this in the way that she knew best. Think of it like a salvage sight. No downed ship ever stays in the same place, so if she were to find herself trapped within a wreck, she would go search for a terminal to assess the ship for stable exits. That was something.

She hoped she wasn't going to be babysitting this random guy. Some random guy who was... very much worse for ware considering that welt on his forehead.

"Hey are you... do you need like a bandage for your head?"

"Hey, get a grip! That guy was a nasty, filthy, no good pirate and he was about to steal all your stuff probably! "You're gonna hyperventilate freaking out like that, and this place is actively burning. Gosh."

"Pirates?", Ronhar stammered as he looked back at the man on the floor next to him and the Twi'lek standing in front of him. Now that he had had a moment to clam down, Ronhar was able to take a closer look at the unconscious individual sprawled out on the beach. In all honesty, he DID look like a pirate, and putting two and two together, it wasn't too hard to figure out why the ship had crashed in the first place. Still, for being a pirate, he was dressed kind of oddly, basically equipped with what Ronhar could only describe as a mismatch of Imperial gear. Guess the pirates were getting desperate these days if that was what they were resorting to using.

"I...I see", Ronhar responded uncertainly as he stopped his retreat away from Rayne Lo'to Rayne Lo'to .

"Hey are you... do you need like a bandage for your head?"

"No, I think I'm ok, but thank you", Ronhar responded meekly as he once again touched the sore spot on his head. As he brought his arm back down in front of him, his eyes widened in terror, and he fell to the floor with a shriek.

"AAAAAAHHHHH! MY ARMS! MY LEGS! WHERE ARE MY ARMS AND LEGS!", he shouted in an absolute panic as he started looking up and down himself. Sure enough, where a pair of organic arms and legs should have been were instead cybernetic replacements, and from what Ronhar could tell, rather expensive ones at that.

"Did you do this?!?!?", Ronhar shouted at Rayne Lo'to Rayne Lo'to , resuming his crawl away from her as he once again tried to distance himself from the tall Twi'lek. It was a rather outlandish accusation to make, but then again, so was this whole situation, and who knew what this woman in front of him was capable of? She was quite large, clearly rather strong, and must have had a propensity for violence considering she had attacked the pirate near Ronhar with no hesitation. For all he knew, she could have been a crazy scientist, and Ronhar's head was suddenly full of stories of evil black market doctors abducting people off the street and harvesting their limbs for twisted scientific experiments!

"Are you..."

Rayne turned herself aways and began to take deep breaths in and out. Her vocoder went silent while she took a moment to recenter herself. In and out.

Don't freak out. You need to be calm. Everything is fine. You'll have ice cream for dinner.

And she promptly turn back around.

"In the ten minutes it took for this yacht to crash, do you think I had enough time to take all four of your limbs and replace them?" She asked, pointing out the logical fallacy. "Look, mister, you're clearly experiencing some kind of memory loss. I'm a scrapper. That means I have experience navigating wrecks, so let me guide you out of here. Okay?"

Rayne did her best to look as approachable as possible. Beyond her height she really wasn't that intimidating at all. In fact, she was painfully average. Worst of all was not being a doctor and having some amnesiac on her hands. A problem for later. She needed to make sure this guy didn't die in here.

Or her for that matter.

"Look, just try to stop yelling so much, okay?" she requested. "You're really giving me a headache, and I can't get you out safe if I can't focus."

This was already a disaster.

"In the ten minutes it took for this yacht to crash, do you think I had enough time to take all four of your limbs and replace them?"

"Maybe if you're really good at it, yeah", Ronhar muttered under his breath. Still, he had to admit she had a point. Realistically, these kind of yachts weren't really equipped to handle the type of drastic surgeries that would have been necessary to remove and replace all pf Ronhar's limbs. Doing so, especially under the pressure of having the ship crashing, would have been nearly impossible even with dedicated facilities, which this ship was surely lacking.

"Look, mister, you're clearly experiencing some kind of memory loss. I'm a scrapper. That means I have experience navigating wrecks, so let me guide you out of here. Okay?"

Ronhar forced himself to take a deep breath. She was right, of course: between the damage that the ship had sustained, the leaking coolant splurting all over the place, and the nonfunctioning reactor, it was only a matter of time before the whole yacht exploded, and Ronhar certainly didn't want to be anywhere near it when that happened. Putting some distance from the ship was a smart play, even if it did mean there chances of rescue would be lower from having moved away from perhaps the most visible feature of their current distress.

"Look, just try to stop yelling so much, okay? You're really giving me a headache, and I can't get you out safe if I can't focus."

"I'm sorry", Ronhar muttered weakly as he started to approach Rayne Lo'to Rayne Lo'to . "You're right, we need to get out of here as soon as possible. Lead the way. Oh, and I guess if we're going to be traveling together, it'll be good to know each other's names. Mine name is Ronhar...Ronhar Tane. At least I think it is, I can't seem to remember much about myself", Ronhar remarked ironically. "It's nice to meet you", he continued as he extended his right arm forward with a handshake.

Rayne squinted for a moment. Did she... know that name?

No, surely it was just one of those names. The sorts of names that all humans seemed to have. She shook his hand and took a moment to take a breath before she began to scan the wreckage for some kind of not-on-fire passageway that they could take to a terminal so that she could interface with the ship.

"Rayne."

Her mind went still for a moment. As she did, the vessel seemed to hum alongside her. Almost as though they were... communicating.

"This way," her vocoder stated as she pointed towards a door to the right of them. "There's a terminal I can-"

"Stupid... worm-headed... bi-"

Rayne turned with a snappy motion towards the pirate who was now beginning to stagger up, quickly hitting them with the pipe again. Once more the man fell into a slumped position. Rayne stared down at the pirate for a moment with labored breath, before...

"Let's just get going..."

So she turned and began moving towards the door.

RONHAR TANE?
GREYMAN'S PLANET
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

"Rayne"
.

"Nice to meet you, Rayne", Ronhar replied as he started looking for a way out of their current predicament. For a moment, her name registered something in his brain, and despite his amnesia, he couldn't help but feel that her name was somehow familiar to him. By sheer coincidence, her name actually was, though not because Ronhar had met her previously, but rather because it reminded him of another Rayne he happened to know: R'ayne Asara R'ayne Asara , of the Mahporeem Science Division back in the Imperial Remnant. But for the moment he wasn't quite able to connect the dots, and so his memory remained rather clouded and fuzzy.

"This way. There's a terminal I can-"

Before Rayne could finish her thought however, Ronhar noticed that one of the pirates who had been unconscious earlier was starting to get back up. presumably to attack both Rayne and Ronhar. "Watch out!", Ronhar cried as he looked for somewhere to run to, to put as much distance between himself and the pirate. But Rayne did not need his warning, because she once again smashed the pirate on his head with the pipe that she was holding. He slumped back down to the floor, and Ronhar was unsure if he was alive or dead. One thing was for certain: Rayne Lo'to Rayne Lo'to was clearly a dangerous, deranged individual, and Ronhar was certain she wouldn't hesitate to hurt him if he tried anything. For now, he would have to do whatever she told him to do, and she was probably his best chance of getting out of this situation alive, as scary as she was to Ronhar!

"Let's just get going...", Rayne demanded of Ronhar as she headed toward the door.

"Oh, uh, coming!", Ronhar squeaked as he scrambled after Rayne, doing his best not to look at the crumpled form of the pirate lying on the floor beside him.

Rayne let out a muted exhale as the man scrambled after him. Good grief. This was becoming a lot more like babysitting than she would have liked. The tall Twi'lek woman navigated the wreckage with ease, only stopping to make sure that Ronhar was capable of vaulting a few obstacles and helping where she had to. It hardly took much time before they found themselves in front of one of the many ship terminals, though it was unclear how many remained after the crash.

Rather than interface with it directly, the woman intently stared at the machine for a moment. Her Lekku would briefly begin to float before settling back down on her shoulders again. When they did the terminal's screen came to life. It flitted through information quickly, moving around seemingly in tandem with the flitting of Rayne's eyes. Then she spoke again.

"Primary exits are crushed, escape hatch is crushed," she relayed, "We're gonna need to launch an escape pod to get off of this thing. Left side pods are in tact, and not pointing into the ocean. That's a start."

She paused before turning back to the cyborg.

"You know, you don't look like someone who would be antsy," the young woman noted through her vocoder. "I know military grade cybernetics when I see them."

What, had he just hit his head that hard?
