Tsawak and Temero, Sith Swords of War
272066.jpg

Image Source: 1zoom.net, original artist unknown.
Intent: A pair of Sith Alchemy blades for Darth Shadow and Darth Kyros (Kara Vi’dreya). These weapons are designed for them to use instead of lightsabres if they wish. Though powerful, they are by no means overly so.
As they are slightly different, Tsawak is Kyra’s blade, Temero is Shadow’s.
Development Thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/17663-a-dark-blade-kara/ development complete (after 8 months), but thread will continue to be used for RPing purposes. In this thread the Phrik was obtained from Gromas, and then the sword forged.
This weapon is also based on: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Poison_Blade used by the ancient Sith, as well as http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_swords
Manufacturer: Darth Shadow and Darth Kyros.
Model: Sith Swords
Affiliation: Personal
Modularity: No
Production: Semi-Unique (2 exist)
Material: Alchemised Phrik alloy, kinrath and other poison imbuing, leather grip.
Description:
Before the fall of the Sith Empire Darth Shadow and Darth Kyros came together to retrieve Phrik from the Imperial stores on Gromas, and then retreated to forge new blades. For Shadow, it was a way for him to pass on some of his skills to Kara, but also a way for him to obtain a new weapon. Being a Sith Lord of the Middle Empire, Shadow remembered a time when both lightsabres and swords were the weapons of the Sith. Despite using one, and using it well, he found the powers of a Sith Sword to offer advantages.

As a Phrik blade reinforced with Sith Alchemy, the blade is almost unbreakable. Lightsabres, blasters and projectile weapons will not damage it, and perhaps only massive pressure and heat can now destroy them. Force Light, if strong enough, will also cleanse the Dark Side from them.
As with other such blades, they can deflect blasters and slug bolts, though the amount of control is probably less than a lightsabre because of the lack of the perfectly flat surface of a lightsabre.

The two blades, though made on the same template, are different in minor ways. Shadow’s blade, Temero, is a conventional Sith sword in most ways. It can absorb Sith lightning and either channel it or store it like a battery for when it can be unleashed. This is because Shadow’s great power is Sith Lightning, and this manifestation of the Dark Side is what binds and seals the blade’s power.
Tsawak, Kara’s blade, is a bit different. As Kara lacks the ability to use Sith Lightning, Darth Shadow decided to have her put part of herself and her essence into the blade. It is only a small amount, and whilst not essence transfer in the normal sense, it means that part of her is bound to the blade. What his means in practice is that she can call on the sword’s energy, as well as putting more of her power into the blade. There is a risk to this though; if the blade is destroyed then that part of Kara’s spirit will be destroyed too, weakening her.

The main abilities of both these blades though, is to poison their enemies. In the way of the ancient Sith, Darth Shadow made the blades imbued with Kinrath and other venom. A single scratch can infect and foul wounds made, with the greater the contact the stronger the effects. Even touching the sword’s blade can poison an enemy as it is a power of the Dark Side.
The symptoms of this poison is to slow healing, promote infection, and also to inflict agonising pain on the victim. By itself the venom is not usually fatal unless the wound itself would be, but it can turn a minor wound serious, and a serious one critical.

A serious disadvantage of these blades is that they are physical weapons, so a lightsabre wielder will have an advantage of sorts in that their blade is weightless whilst these Sith weapons are not.

Classification: Sword
Size: One handed
Length: 130cm including pommel and handle. Blade 110cm.
Weight: 3kg.
Special Features: (See description for more information on each point below)
  • Impervious to lightsabres.
  • Able to reflect blaster bolts or block projectiles.
  • Temero is able to store and unleash Sith lightning like other Sith blades.
  • Tsawak contains a fragment of Kara’s spirit, allowing her to channel her energies through the sword, and also to keep her essence alive as long as the blade remains.
  • The blades are venomous on a wound, with the extent of the injury demonstrating the extent of the poison’s effect. IE, a scratch would be less harmful than a major cut.
