Hakon is tall and decently fit. Like most Wroonians, he has pale blue skin and yellow eyes. He keeps his dark hair fairly short. It is very rare to see him outside of his living quarters wearing anything informal; he always strives to be properly dressed for the occasion and is often found wearing ornate apparel. His expression is typically more stern or stoic, but if he likes you or you happen to be a constituent of his, he will absolutely smile. He can also become rather animated when giving speeches and performing for the masses.

Hakon has plenty of money and a closet full of fancy clothes. Beyond that, he typically does not carry much with him and prefers to rely on bodyguards and staff members for security, transportation and whatever else he needs.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Hakon is generally outgoing and friendly. He is not afraid to speak his mind, especially about political issues. He typically has a very prim and proper appearance about him, influenced by his cultural and political background.
Hakon is a very strong believer in free trade and business. He believes strong businesses pave the way for a great economy and a great galaxy that benefits everyone. Specific political beliefs he possesses include reducing taxes, subsidizing economic growth and deregulating industries.
STRENGTHS
Charismatic: Hakon is typically great at talking to people and coming up with memorable things to say. This can make it easy for him to win people over.
Wealthy: Hakon is well-funded by large corporate political backers. This can provide him with an advantage, depending on the circumstances.
WEAKNESSES
Overconfident: Spurred by recent successes, Hakon often operates as though he is above or can disregard the rules, which sometimes leads to poor decisions.
Scandalous: Hakon, especially in some circles on Wroona, has a reputation as a scandalous figure. This can result in people he has never met having a negative opinion of him.
Selfish: Hakon strongly believes he can simultaneously do what is best for himself and his constituents, but when forced to choose he is likely to pick the option that benefits himself.
HISTORY
Sen. Tryvge Hakon was born on Wroona as the first son of a high-class family. His early life was largely uneventful, but due to his family's high class lifestyle and status, he received a good education and, due to regular travel, became well acquainted with the Inner Rim, Trailing Sectors and other parts of the galaxy near Wroona. His upbringing also instilled him with a belief in democracy and freedom of enterprise.
Hakon got his political start working on a campaign for and later in the office of a seasoned businessman and planetary representative on Wroona in his early twenties. There, he was able to learn a lot about politics and build valuable connections. Following the unexpected death of that representative after a few years of working for him, Hakon ultimately decided to run for the seat in a special election to replace the representative and won after receiving strong corporate and monetary backing with some help from his family's connections.
While he was not particularly active in proposing bills, Hakon still managed to build a strong reputation as a pro-corporation representative earning a perfect 'AAA' voting record from the Wroona Business Alliance. Furthermore, he gained planetary attention as an outspoken and firebrand representative that was unafraid to speak his mind on many topics. He rarely declined a media opportunity or missed a chance to speak on the Wroona Planetary Assembly floor.
His strong showing in just one year at the Planetary Assembly resulted in no Corpo-Confederate challengers when he ran for reelection promising to repeal the controversial Shipwright Labor Tax. With his home city boasting shipwright and manufacturing industries, it resulted in an easy win for Hakon. Shortly after that political victory, Hakon also married a young woman named Sanna from the suburbs of his hometown.
Hakon's second term in the Planetary Assembly resulted in much more of the same. He continued his rabid support of corporations, including voting in favor of the controversial Robotics Investment Fund Act, which created a fund of more than 20 billion Galactic Credits to be used to subsidize robotic developments on Wroona. Opponents harped on the bill's lack of guidelines and restrictions for corporations applying for the subsidies and the lack of a pressing need for such a large expenditure, but the bill narrowly passed despite unusual opposition by some members of the Corpo-Confederates, who are the dominant party in Wroona politics.
Towards the end of this term of office, Hakon had his first and only child with Sanna, a daughter. He also continued his media crusade and became increasingly well-known across the planet, despite being one of the youngest members of the Corpo-Confederate Party in the Planetary Assembly.
This meteoric rise in planetary popularity spurred Hakon to run for Governor of Wroona, when the incumbent stepped aside. Backed by corporate money and a strong and largely positive media presence, he soared to victory. His new position further increased his power; he became one of the most recognizable men on Wroona. He was also able to leverage his new position to finally put an end to the Shipwright Labor Tax, which he had promised years earlier, in an attempt to boost the small but growing shipbuilding industry on Wroona.
It was a largely successful term until trouble arose towards the end of it, when his then wife, Sanna, filed for divorce on grounds of unfaithfulness and infidelity. Despite Hakon's best efforts, the case resulted in a large uproar that significantly hurt his political standing.
The divorce received significant attention planetwide and even limited regional coverage. The proceedings revealed that Hakon had spent less and less time with his family in his hometown, instead preferring Wroona's capital. It also showed that Hakon had engaged in multiple affairs including one allegedly with a member of his government office, which is illegal under Wroona rules. That prompted an investigation by the Planetary Assembly into his actions, which, despite being ultimately abandoned, further harmed his reputation.
Following the scandal, the rising star of the Wroona Corpo-Confederates lost his reelection campaign to a Centrist in a landslide. It resulted in a difficult period for Hakon, who started trying to salvage his political career on one hand, while also, at times, spiraling on the other. He would eventually settle into an executive position at one of Wroona's premier technological corporations that he had worked closely with during his time in public office.
Despite many recommending against it, Hakon ran for governor again when the position came up for election. With the planet experiencing a recession, Hakon doubled down on his platform. He promised sweeping tax cuts, more subsidies for business and industry, better jobs and increased freedom. What resulted was one of the nastiest elections Wroona had ever seen with attack advertisements, disparaging remarks and plenty of barbs being traded between Hakon and the Centrist incumbent. Narrowly, Hakon escaped with the victory.
Midway through his second term as governor, Hakon decided to run for senator with the seat coming up for election. While he still faced strong opposition due to some Corpo-Confederates being unwilling to support him due to his controversial background, he narrowly managed to achieve victory yet again.
