Description:
Saera's Lightsaber is a piece of artwork, forged in the fires of Aza'zoth and cooled in the waters of Caries. Like any exquisite piece of weaponry, it had been made from a selection of rare and exotic materials. The guard was made from various Maalraas vertebrae for its inherent durability, around a beskar core. The majority of the body was made of purified beskar and crowned by bronzium-plated beskar for cosmetic appeal. The handle had been wrapped in glistaweb courtesy of Lady Ashelotte's Horde surplus. The butt had been designed to lock in Spears of Rae (not included). The choice of hilt materiel makes it effectively highly lightsaber resistant and very exotic.
There is plenty of room inside for a suitable battery and Subach-Innes' multiple-phase technology. The powering crystal was a choice cut of Durindfire, with the primary focus also made of Durindfire. The multiple phase controls allow for almost full-scale control of the blade's size and strength, with one unique twist; when a certain threshold is reached or passed, the device digitally activates its second phase starting on the lowest power settings, placing the secondary focus in-between both Durindfires rather than after. This unique choice in replacement allows the blade to change aesthetically more towards the secondary crystal than the Durindfire, giving the second phase a totally unique appearance compared to the standard form's basic silver texture.
The true uniqueness of Saera's Lightsaber lies not in its lightsaber resistant hilt or the multiple phase technology but the Sith inscriptions written into its entirety based on Lady Ashelotte's Aura of Uneasiness scrolls acquired from the former head of the Templars. Forged alchemically, the hilt displays its own Aura of Uneasiness which is triggered visually (when looking at it) and has a range of approximately fifteen feet. The aura is weakest at the furthest point and strongest touching the blade, and has been inscribed to exclude Saera, Ashelotte or Circe from its effects. (This effect does not work in a Ysalamiri field, but the materiel retains its properties.)
Caries water becomes volatile in the presence of Saera's Lightsaber and returning it to the Caries sea would almost certainly prove deadly for any who'd suffer the disruptive rift of unstable Dark Side energy to ensue. The saber has all the negative side-effects of a Dark Side Nexus without any of the positives; increased susceptibility to corruption, displacement of Dark aura, vulnerability to the Light.
