OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Tro'zet
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Homeworld: Dandoran
  • Language: Troz
  • Average Lifespan: 50 GSY
  • Estimated Population: Rare/Scattered (Less than 1,000,000 galaxy wide)
  • Description: Tro'zet are big, very big, uncomfortably big for a galaxy mostly populated by smaller beings. They are a lot tougher, slower, stronger, less charismatic, less mentally acute and less willful than most humans. They have thermographic vision, long arms, and extremely tough skin with boney deposits. They often have horns and tusk(upper and lower jaw), often in pairs 2 but up to 6 have been seen. Horns and tusk do not grow symmetrically and can have a large variety of shapes and sizes.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type-1
  • Average height of adults: 2.3 - 3.0 meters
  • Average length of adults: N/A
  • Skin color: All hues common to humans with the addition of green, yellows and reds.
  • Hair color: Black, Brown, Blonde, Red and various shades between.
  • Distinctions:

Tro'zet are larger than humans with an average height of about 2.5 meters and an average weight of 225kg (496 lb) but can easily weigh upwards to 350 kg (771 pounds).

In addition to this enormous body size, Tro'zet tend to have tusks and horns (which may or may not have symmetry). Tro'zet body proportions differ from Humans, with the ratio of arm-to-leg length significantly higher in Tro'zet, giving them an advantage in melee combat. Tro'zet have calcified dermal deposits throughout their skin, which can resemble large warts, spines or an armor-plated effect. These dermal deposits make Tro'zet more resistant to physical trauma. It is assumed that Tro'zet have an average life expectancy of approximately fifty years, but this number varies depending on social conditions and environment. Tro'zet can see in a broader spectrum than humans, with their vision extending into infrared.

The normal gestation time for a troll is 259 days. They are usually 2.5% of their mother's weight. Their suckling time is over 15 months. Tro'zet mature at around 12 years of age. Males and females on average reach the same heights with females generally having less body mass. Males tend to be less mentally acute than females which has resulted in females generally being the leaders and decision makers of the various Tro'zet "tribes".
  • Races: Tro'zet are rare and varied in the galaxy. It is thought the wide variation in horn pattern was linked to genetic markers but they are too few and intermixed for conclusive evidence.
  • Strengths:
  • Large size
  • Physically Strong
  • Physically Durable
  • Thermographic Vision
  • Weaknesses:
  • Poor Agility
  • Poor mental acuity (Instinctual rather than Cerebral ex. Hit first, ask the smear questions later.)
  • Slow speeds
  • Highly susceptible to developing mental disorders
  • Large size (Makes the galaxy difficult to move around in.
  • Force Sensitivity is extremely Rare and can not exceed Knight levels
  • More susceptible to Mind Trick and other Menatlist skills than some species. Females less susceptible.

CULTURE
  • Diet: Omnivores
  • Communication: Verbal
  • Technology level: Can use most galactic technology apart from tech that is too small. On their own they would be in the iron age.
  • Religion/Beliefs: Trozetti - Trozetti encompasses the beliefs that all material phenomena have agency, that there exists no hard and fast distinction between the spiritual and physical (or material) world and that soul or spirit or sentience exists not only in Tro'zet, but also in other animals, plants, rocks, geographic features such as mountains or rivers or other entities of the natural environment, including thunder, wind and shadows. Tro'zet may further attribute souls to abstract concepts such as words, true names or metaphors in mythology. Tro'zet worship is led by shamans, each with their own patron spirit and act as both advisors and healers in their respective communities.
  • General behavior: Tro'zet are a large aggressive species. Due to their size and strength they are often used as heavy labor for planetary based work. Those that are not enslaved by less scrupulous beings often choose to work in military or mercenary work as their innate aggression is view with less of a social stigma in those applications. Due to high aggression members of the Tro'zet will often square off with other members of their species and fight until one or both are no longer capable of fighting, serious injuries however are very rare and combatants tend to not hold lasting grudges over a loss.
  • Children are raise communally, where older members instruct the children in life skills and general education orally. Reading and writing is often not engaged in unless integrated into a larger multispecies community. History, religion, and traditions are all passed down orally and no written history, currently exist.

Tro'zet also live in close communities called tribes. Each tribe is lead by a respected group of females and all members look to them for guidance and daily decisions. Each tribe has a shaman (can ne male or female) whose job it is to read omens, perform physical and spiritual healing, and teach the young about their history and traditions. This person is not always force sensitive but can be in rare cases. Males appoint one or two elder members who report to the females to talk about tribe needs and make decisions in times of war. Members of tribes will often have a patron spirit or totem as well as a family and tribal totem depending on the tribe's personal traditions.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
According to the legend of the Tro'zet, they came from a perfect world called Troatha—although it is not apparent whether the term refers to a certain place or time. In this world, the barrier between the spirit world and the material world was thin and it was easy to travel from one world into the other.
The being who watched over the balance between both was Troza, the mightiest warrior of his time.
Troza patrolled the barrier between the two worlds and allowed spirits to remain in the spirit world and even allowed them to be worshipped. But only so long as they did not become flesh, and spirit remained separated. Many of the powerful spirits saw the wisdom in that and followed the rules. However, those who threatened the balance between the worlds were either chased back to their world or were killed outright.

Over time Orna, a sky spirit, began to travel the world in a body of flesh. She had many suitors but only chose
Troza as a mate, due to his strength and power. With him she sired the Tro'zet.

Over time
Troza grew weak and was no longer able to fulfill his duties. When his children saw his weakness, they began to rebel against their father and succeeded in killing him and taking his place. As
Troza died, the barrier between the worlds became so strong that traveling from one to another was only possible in special places for most beings. The pain over the death of her lover caused Orna to curse her children with horns and tusk, as well as making them forget how to travel to the stars.
