First Reply Trouble on Mina-Rau

Beep. Beep. Beep. BEEP. BEEP.

A hand reached over to slap at the chrono, but that didn't stop the beeping. It reached around on the nightstand, feeling for the source, and grabbed up the datapad that was resting there before sucking back beneath the blankets. Eyes slowly cracked open, bits of crust falling away from where his eyes had worked to cleanse themselves as he slept. As soon as he tapped the screen, it illuminated his face and he squinted, turning his head away to allow his eyes to adjust to the sudden increase in light levels. When he looked back, there was a notice of a received message that was flagged as urgent. He tapped it with his finger and read the three words that appeared: They found us.

He sat up in bed and let the blankets fall off of him as he tried to ascertain what he was reading. It was a priority communication using Underground code. Why was it sent to him, though? He checked, and sure enough, the only designated receiver was him. He wasn't in direct contact with any cells and wasn't in charge of any operations at the moment, so there was no direct reason for him to be the sole recipient of such a message. It should have gone to the whole organization, not just him. That was a red flag, and while he knew it was likely a trap of some kind, he could not simply ignore the situation. He initiated a back trace to get a location on where the transmission came from, then climbed out of bed to get cleaned up, dressed, and ready to travel. By the time he was done, the trace was complete. Mina-Rau. He didn't know the world, but when he pulled up a map he could see it was within the confines of Imperial Space. Not good. They must have meant the Empire. But still, who was us?

A shuttle was easy enough to procure. He neglected Jedi robes, opting to dress in dark brown pants with a similar colored tunic, belt so he could wear his lightsaber and blaster, and a long, light brown duster with a hood, just in case he needed to hide his face. The duster was a bit worn, several grease spots indicating that it had been through some things. All the better to help him blend in, which was exactly what he tried to do when he landed on the world, immediately pulling up the hood and hunching a bit as he left the shuttle on the outskirts of one of the scattered farming villages. He headed straight into the first shop he could find, pretending to be in search of something particular in the manner of picking up a lot of different things and peering through piles of junk.

It was a reasonable cover to allow him to feel out his surroundings. Somewhere out there, trouble was brewing.
