Tristan Cuiléin

KvhpaVx.jpg

NAME: Tristan Cuiléin
FACTION: None (yet)
RANK: None (yet)
SPECIES: Anzat
AGE: 352 - Appears to be in his late twenties, 27-31.
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 6'11 (210 cm)
WEIGHT: 120 kg
EYES: Green
HAIR: Brown
SKIN: Yup, has that too (white)
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

STRENGTHS:
+ Natural telepath: The Anzati were Force-Sensitive, and had a natural knack for Telepathy and Mind Controlling abilities. They grew more adept in this talent as they aged.
+ Strength&Reflexes: Anzati tended to possess exceptional might and often startling reflexes, at best, they could reflect thrice that of a pinnacle Human's athletic ability. Tristan is by Human and Anzati standards alike, a big guy. His combat style is aggressive, relying on his powerful strength to dominate the fight.
+ Manipulator: Despite having the appearance of a big brute, Tristan is remarkably well spoken, knowledgeable, and practiced in the art of manipulating others to serve his purpose. This has come about as a necessity of being the head of the Cuiléin clan, as much as it's a natural result of having lived for over three centuries, most of it spent blending into societies, playing the role of Human well. He usually gets what he wants.

+/- Family: Tristan cares deeply for his family. They will always take first priority. The Cuiléins can always count on each other for support. However, this can backfire, in that he will stop at nothing to save his family, with no regard for personal safety or walking into obvious traps...

Racial benefits:
These aren't a super big deal, and won't really factor into a fight, but worth having mentioned in the event that it becomes relevant. The Anzati...
- ... have no natural biorhythm, that is to say, no pulse and no body heat
- ... possess regenerative capabilities beyond those of the average humanoid (again, this is minor)
- ... have highly developed sensory organs unknown in other sentient species, in order to be able to sense the presence of a strong life essence in others.
- ... possessed two long, prehensile proboscises similar in appearance to tentacles. They kept these proboscises coiled in their twin cheek pockets for feeding on
unsuspecting victims. When their proboscises were retracted, they were practically indistinguishable from Humans

WEAKNESSES:
- Predator: Anzati eat sentient beings... Sometimes it's sort of hard to keep that under the table
- Force Powers: Tristan is a warrior, and Force sensitive. His fighting style, however, focuses on swordplay and physical strength and speed. He has received no formal training in developing his Force sensitivity.
- Arrogant/ Anzati supremacist: When you live as long as Tristan has, you often find yourself underestimating the younger people. This translates into his general view on other races as well. He has a tendency to view the Anzati as the pinnacle of existence, the ideal race. Following this line of thought, other races easily get viewed as nothing more than cattle.

APPEARANCE:
Tristan has a very imposing appearance, and definitely stand out in the crowd. This does not really contradict his purpose in keeping his true identity hidden, as he looks indistinguishably Human. He is very tall, and holds a huge, muscular frame. Despite his brutish and intimidating appearance, he behaves like a cunning nobleman, carrying himself with elegance and confidence. His face portrays handsome features, a strong jaw, trimmed facial hair, and clear, green eyes. Like his brother Lancem, he would by Human standards be considered an attractive man.

Tristan's clothing style is varied, liking to change it up. When wanting to catch as little attention as possible, or on his smuggler duties, he'll usually wear a simple outfit. Dark grey pants, with straps for his blaster pistols on one his hip, a large knife on the other. It has some light armour, most notably protecting his knee and shin. On his torso, he would wear a dark blue shirt underneath a black coat. In this outfit, he'd usually have a blaster pistol hidden inside the jacket, just in case his other weapons were taken from him. One thing Tristan never leaves without, is his trusted vibrosword, hanging sheathed from his hip.

Smuggler style aside, Tristan has a taste for the finer things. Due to him being the oldest living member of his clan, he's inherited quite a bit of money. He has been able to sustain this wealth as a smuggler, and with the occasional bounty collected. He is fashionable, and when he can, he dresses lavishly in expensive clothing befitting a nobleman. Tristan does not favour the glaring and colourful outfits he's seen the newly rich flaunt on so many occasions, preferring instead a more classical, yet stylish style, usually sticking to elegant mixtures of black and purple.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Lancem Cuiléin - Younger brother
Morgana Cuiléin - Younger sister

Lanval Bors-Cuiléin - Cousin

BIOGRAPHY:
Tristan Cuiléin was born on Anzat, first child of Ameli and Ruaidri. Later his parents would have two more children, Lancem and Morgana. Tristan was 29 years older than Lancem. By the time Morgana was born, Tristan was 72 years old. Life on Anzat was peaceful. Ameli and Ruaidri taught their children much. To the Anzati, the most important skills to pass on to their offspring were the arts of stealth and the kill. As such, they learned how to hunt other sentient beings, as well as honing their natural telepathic ability. The children grew accustomed to the culture of the Anzati, however, they never delved completely into the complete fanaticism of the Soup. After all, it was just food.

This was in many ways a reaction to what they saw happen to Ruaidri's brother Cato and his wife, Tristan's uncle and aunt; a pair that took their Soup addiction to intense heights, driven to insanity by it. The results of this insanity was revealed later, when they lost touch with the world around them and eventually ended up being executed. They had children, and Tristan's cousins, Naker and Lanval, came to live with the main body of the family, where they grew up with the others, forging a strong bond between them.

Though many Anzati went out into the galaxy on their own, the Cuiléins travelled together. They waited until their children were old enough. The family worked together planet to planet, leaving dead bodies in their wake wherever they went. They stayed only until their murder trails led back to them, or until people began to notice their lack of rapid aging. This behaviour went on for centuries, until finally when Tristan was 346 years old, his parents were taken by the Netherworld event. The family each took it their own way, though they all seemed to spread apart throughout the galaxy.

On his own for the first time in over 300 years, Tristan took up smuggling and bounty hunting. He put the talents his parents had taught him to use, blending in and seeking out new targets to feed upon. A frequent business for him was smuggling people. He chose his targets well, favouring those with no connections, those who no one would miss, those desperate, the walking dead. Safe to say, they never reached their destination, but became snack for the Anzat Tristan. He also took up bounty hunting, though in order to protect his cover, he never worked for the same contacts, and always went by an alias. Having him consistently bring in dead bounties with their brain sucked out would likely cause suspicion. While he always carried a blaster pistol on his body, and was frequently seen using a blaster rifle, his weapon of choice was the vibrosword. Even at this stage of his life, he was already a powerful warrior in his own right, having trained his entire life to be an assassin and a fighter. He enjoyed the thrill and intensity of a close-quarter fight, feeling alive in those moments as he carved against his enemies with intense strength.

While he didn't starve, Tristan never had abundance. He wanted abundance. He always felt he was destined for something greater, something more than roaming the galaxy of feeding of low-life thugs. The Anzati had an old culture, and traditionally had little interest in pursuit of mastery of any given area of expertise or knowledge. Tristan, as well as his siblings, however, were different. The way he saw it, other Anzati bound themselves to small lives, thinking of nothing but drinking Soup from unworthy vessels. He was determined to rise above that, to become powerful, and claim the best prizes for himself and his family. Even now, on his own, his primary concern was for his family. And so a plan formed, a move that would shape the future of the Cuiléin family dramatically.

Tristan had observed the ways of the galaxy, the many wars and coups as power shifted from one hand to another. Despite all their infighting, the Sith proved themselves strong. Tristan was impressed by the power they possessed, and the way they commanded others. While he held neither love nor interest for their creed, he wanted to learn. This would be his way to abundance, and the tastiest dish of all - Jedi. As such, Tristan set off in the Errant Sojourn, and summoned his family members from all over the galaxy to meet him on some off-world planet. Here, he would propose a new plan, a new path: the Cuiléin would set course for Coruscant, and join the ranks of the One Sith.

KILLS: More than he has been able to keep count of. No PCs though.

BOUNTIES COLLECTED: A few, used to work as a Bounty Hunter. No PCs though.

SHIP:
Tristan inherited a Horizon-class Star Yacht after his parents died. The Errant Sojourn is these days available to all members of the Cuiléin clan, though officially it is listed as Tristan's property. Usually, the family will use this ship when travelling together. It has room for three crew and five passengers to travel comfortably, with a state room provided for each. Equipped with two ion engines and a class 0.5 hyperdrive, it can make more than good time for a ship the size of a small freighter. It is not equipped for combat, however, lacking shielding and any armament beyond a tractor beam.

The Errant Sojourn also has room for one fighter. It stroes a single-pilot Nssiss-class Clawcraft, the Blitzen, usually operated by Tristan's cousin Lanvar. Equipped with ion engines and a class 1.5 hyperdrive, the fighter is agile and hyperspace capable. For combat, the fighter is equipped with shielding and four laser cannons.
