Maldor Mecetti
Diarchy - High Chancellor House Sancetti

SPECIAL FEATURES
- Electrosensitive particles change color in response to receiving varying electrical frequencies.
- Can be incorporated into paint, pigment, or textile dyes.
- Particles can be 'commanded' to change colors based on electrical signals sent to them.
- Allows colors and patterns to change based on computer instruction.
- High-energy emissions, like weapons and tractor beams, can cause particles to vaporize. This is bad for the paint job. However, it creates an ablative effect that disperses these same emissions to some degree- potentially lessening damage or tractor hold strength as the cloud of vapor interferes with energy coherence.
- Requires a computer and power source to be effective.
- Ion weapons and electrical attacks can cause the colors and patterns represented to randomize and require a cooldown of 5 minutes to regain function in the parts of a coating that aren't simply vaporized outright.
- While it can create camouflage patterns and colors, it is no more effective than a paint job or dye job appropriate to the environment. It does not render anything actually invisible, nor undetectable by sensors, nor undetectable by extraordinary senses like the Force or Sonar.
The Multichrom particles from Trigonus industries suggests an impending entry into the luxury paint market. Multichrom's electrosensitive particles change color when exposed to electrical emissions of varying frequencies. With a computer controller and a power source, any color or pattern of colors could be created in the resulting paint job or textile fabric, and altered as the user sees fit. The multichromatic particles will overload and create crazy color patterns if given a strong electric or ionic charge, and will take 5 minutes to reset. They will also vaporize if exposed to excessive energy levels, whether via directed gravitational emissions or laser weapons or plasma. An unshielded ship painted with multichromatic particles may lose them if they perform high speed atmospheric re-entry due to thermal effects. The vaporization of particles under high-energy conditions isn't all bad, though, because the billowing vapors may create a blooming and diffusion effect reducing energy weapon damage or tractor beam hold strength.
