[SIZE=9pt]MISSION INFORMATION[/SIZE]
Initiate will arrive planetside and surrender all worldly possessions save the cloths on their back before beginning this rite of passage. Take part in cleansing ceremony (giant party) and then begin mission with only Yarven “Huntsman” Blade, cold weather clothes, tracking/communicator, one day’s rations, waterskin, Rathalayan Firestones and mount. Hunt down rogue Greater Jakobeast and collect tusks and horns killing the beast outright and radio in when mission is complete for pick up and enjoy feast of the huntsman held in your honor. The other option is to attempt to tame the beast. To do this you will need to best it in one on one battle, break its' spirits and earn its' respect. The tie a rope to it to make a make shift bit and bridle. If you are able to ride it back to town all will celebrate your success in the feast of life.

[SIZE=9pt]HISTORICAL INFORMATION[/SIZE]
“The Culling” began centuries ago when the gate tribes of the outback came to Yarva, bring their herds of Jakobeasts to feed on the snow covered fungus fields. As the herds grew stronger issues began to occur with the old males within them. The unique flora of this world heightened their natural telekinetic abilities to the point they began to lose control of them. Eventually causing the alpha matriarch to force them from the herd. Without a home they would roam and attack other herds seemingly at random.

To protect the herds this necessitated the tribes to cull these rogue males, a task that was always troubles some at best, deadly at worse. This culling duty fell to the strongest and bravest of the tribes. In 23 aby a young man seeking to prove his worth to a local Judge created “The Culling” trial as a way to do just this and over the years traditions and new challenges have been added to refine the experience and fully test those wishing to join the ranks of the judges.
