Gaahnya Village
Kashyyyk

The plot was simple. A wookiee clan had borrowed a Holocron from the Denon Academy of Science and failed to return it. To expound however. This specific clan, Clan Ur Dahl of the Gaahnya Trees, was a spirit clan. Meaning they were almost all Force Users. Being almost completely composed of gifted and magically talented individuals. Though, far from the Jedi talents, to be sure. And having only recently returned to their homeworld too? Today's adventure made things all the more complicated. Nobody knew where to find them.

Karen Roberts stood beside the remarkably-modern landing pad on the highest level of the Spiral Treeport. The wookiee version of what a human culture might consider a starport or a transit hub. Shaped and carved out from a singular hulking mass of a colossus tree, it was down right breathtaking to just stand inside it. Karen almost couldn't believe the alien craftsmanship was real.

"Yes Ristrall. The Jedi Knights will be sending someone to keep us company too. The Academy of Denon specifically requested that a Jedi Knight be present to receive the holocron from Clan Ur Dahl the moment it was made available. Suffice it to say, that I'm afraid I don't quite qualify for the title with the local government anymore. Hehe. Go figure, right?"

~ Ruarrrr? ~

Came the hefty voice of the tall wookiee female. Karen smiled and nodded. She could understand her grunts and roars just fine.

"Yes yes. I hate waiting too. But do not worry dear. I'm sure they are on their way. The Force is always mindful."

.....

Karen Roberts was a chief scientist at the Denon Academy of Science. Her specialty was holocron recovery and collections. A firm capacity for timely artifact retrieval was exactly what had brought her to Kashyyyk today too. Anything she could do to help bring back that holocron? She was game to offer. Similar the tall wookiee that stood beside her. Ristrall Kopath Kurr of Clan Vissh Nash and Crontos. The fuzzy female was today part hunter, part guide, and part peace officer for the grand village Treeport. And much like the police detectives of CorSec or the robot guards of Old Coruscant. She was here to provide a more 'localized' and 'native' form of assistance. She spoke the language.

Still. Which such an important artifact already missing on the fringes of Republic Space? The powers-that-be could not simply allow the investigation to go unassisted by their best and brightest magi. The Jedi Knights themselves. And so it was that Karen and Ristrall remained waiting near the terminals for the timely arrival of their Mission Commander. High, high up amongst the trees and ready to hunt themselves a holocron.

The endless bounds of space offered the Jedi Knight the peace and time to study the holo-display within the master quarters of the Sekallien Runner., his mission objectives had been relayed to him by the Jedi Order back within the Republic Space, yet he had been in transit from Rhen Var at the time and the nature of this expedition hadn't been explained in detail. Thus he was not only late but lacking in knowledge around the missing holocron; the second that he had gone chasing now though hopefully this time would be much less antagonizing than the venture to Sorenno with Master Grayson.

The most interesting aspect about this venture to Kashyyyk was that they would be seeking the Clan Ur Dahl, a Wookiee clan comprised of force sensitives. His contact, he had been informed would be awaiting him upon landing and able to elaborate on the objective yet it was suggested that this Clan's whereabouts were currently unknown. Truth be told, Veiere had never been to Kashyyyk before yet he had heard and read stories about the planet, one which lacked technology and favored the marvels of nature; it sounded very much like something he could come to admire and respect.

"Veiere, we're dropping out of hyperspace now, you might want to join me, I hear it's quite a view", Cillian's voice came across the inter-com's. Deactivating the holo-display and ejecting the chip onto to insert it into the side of his datapad, he returned the handheld device to his belt before turning away and heading for the main corridor towards the head of the ship. "Relay the Orders identification codes, make sure they know who we ar-..." his voice was quickly cut off by the young pilot chuckling and replying in kind, "Already done Sir". Nodding slowly, Veiere placed a firm hand to the Lads shoulder, "You're learning quickly" he smiled before moving to take the co-pilots seat and watch the warp tunnel quickly disintegrate and the stars flashing passed to return to their rightful places in the darkness of space. Before them was Kashyyyk, a vibrantly green world whose atmosphere was almost visible in the light that surrounded the planet. "You ever dealt with the Wookiees before, Sir?" his pilot asked curiously to which Veiere simply shook his head and watched as the world grew inevitably closer, "No, though I here they are fierce of tradition and almost nomadic in their living. I'm very much looking forward to meeting them".

Before long the vessel was sharing the same skies as the rest of the planet and they were nearing the starport of Gaahnya Village, the landing would come as something of an unorthodox one as Cillian had never put a vessel down in a place so obviously void of mass technologies; still the lad managed just fine and after the engines powered down, Veiere turned to him and offers a firm and confident nod, "Well done, kiddo" he smiled before unstrapping himself from the co-pilots seat and moving to leave the cockpit, "Mind the ship and keep an eye on the ones that come to refuel her, make sure they know what they're doing..." He called back whilst the landing ramp ahead of himself began to lower and he started to descend with it.

He had come dressed in the typical to that of the Jedi of old. The tan tunic and leggings draped beneath that of a long and loose dark brown and hooded cloak, his belt and boots the same in tone and holding both his lightsaber and several other devices, the datapad and comm-link included. Needless to say, he stood out in a crowd on this world and would not be difficult to spot for his contact, [member="Karen Roberts"] .
