Intent: To create new possibilities in space combat
Development Thread: Hear the Cry of War, Louder than Before - The Mandalorians conduct a raid on Loronar Shipyards. Rekali the Hutt specifically works with a task force to steal and destroy any research that could prove useful, finding designs for an interesting new missile.
Manufacturer: Clan Rekali
Model: Gravity Bomb
Affiliation: Mandalorian, Clan Rekali, The Underworld
Modularity: Scale of missile(Starfighter and capital size), Standard and Rugam(Conical and Spherical blast radius)
Production: Minor
Material: Standard Materials
Classification: Warhead
Size: Shipmounted
Length: Standard starfighter/capital missile size
Weight: Standard.
Ammunition Type: It is the ammunition
Ammunition Capacity: Dependent on ship
Effective Range: Conical are typically set to detonate after a ship-length per second, thus the detonation takes a second and then the firing starship is in the "blast" radius. Spherical detonating Trat'ade Be'senaar operate at the standard ship-to-ship missile ranges.
Rate of Fire: Standard
Special Features:
The spherical detonations operate as a standard gravity bomb, while the conical blast radius serves a definitely different purpose. Rather than try to damage or disrupt opposing ships the firing gravity waves are carefully calculated to counteract the effects of Gravity Well Projectors. This creates a narrow window of about fifteen seconds that an interdiction field is disrupted enough that a starship could make a jump to hyperspace and escape.

Strengths:
+Allows for escape through interdiction fields
+Can damage opposing ships through gravitational waves, at times messing with sensory or targeting equipment.
Weaknesses:
-While particularly effective in a few certain spots the warhead as a whole is less damaging than say a proton or energy warhead of similar size.
-Starfighters typically need their entire payload to be converted in order to escape interdiction.
-In order to function properly conical versions have to be calibrated in regards to the speed and length of the ship, increasing cost of deployment.

Description:
The Rugam, or spherical, version of the Trat'ade Be'senaar is simply a modern incarnation of the Gravity Bomb used ages ago. By creating an influx of gravity waves in the blast radius it attempts to make ships cave in on themselves, which is most likely to happen in unbalanced designs, for example a vessel with large wings protruding from it's center or a vessel made with sufficiently different weighted materials throughout it's hull. Where this can be the most effective is at viewports and swivel mounted weapons. Lighter transparent metals often simply burst from the gravitational pull while swivel mounted weapons and pulled in this direction or that, taking off of their intended targets and perhaps even damaging their mounting apparatus. Often times this requires precious few minutes of recalculating targeting solutions, while a particularly good tactical strike might require repairs to the swivel mount in order for the turret to be aimed properly again. Excessively long mass driver barrels could also suffer slight bends, leading to dangerous jams.

The conical version however, is a purely utilitarian design. Typically detonated extremely close to the launching vessel it sends out gravity waves in a conical fashion in front of the starship, which are carefully measured to counter the effects of a Gravity Well Projector. The waves cancel each other out, leading to small 'slice' of the interdiction field where gravity is standard and thus jumping to hyperspace is possible. In order for this to work of course the "Slice" must extend to the end of the interdiction field, otherwise the vessel will simply make a microjump the length of the blast radius.

The blast radius of the starfighter-scale Trat'ade Be'senaar is rather small, and to escape a fighter normally needs to convert and fire it's entire payload to escape interdiction. Even then if a ship has more than four or so Gravity Well Projectors they likely won't be able to escape. The capital versions have a bit more bang to them, and typically only require a shot or two or three to escape most interdiction fields. One cruiser equipped with them could feasibly get a small fleet to escape provided good organization and communication. Overall the device is most useful to Corvettes, Frigates, and Bulk Freighters. Large enough to run the heavier missiles, yet small enough to run operations independent of a fleet and therefore get caught outnumbered and outgunned.

Theory of the device was stolen from the Republic at Loronar Shipyards by Rekali the Hutt, who gave the designs to [member="Alec Rekali"] for Clan Rekali Incorporated to further refine, design, and produce. A shipment or two has been known to go missing, though neither Alec nor Rekali the Hutt would tell exactly where they go.
