✠ KNIGHTS OF THE IRON TEMPLE ✠
Protectors of Order

The Iron Templars, formally known as the Knights of the Iron Temple, are the unwavering sword of the Iron Crusade—a militant order of Force-wielders who have cast aside the indulgences of the Jedi and the corruption of the Sith. They are not guardians of peace, nor seekers of balance. They are enforcers of authority, champions of discipline, and crusaders of Imperial dominion.

Their loyalty is not to the Force, nor to abstract ideals. It is to the Crusade—to the iron-willed order rising from the ashes of empire to restore structure to a galaxy fractured by anarchy and indulgence. The Iron Templars serve not a man, but a cause: the unbreakable vision of a galaxy bound by hierarchy, stability, and enduring control. They are the mailed fist of that vision, called to march wherever law fails and order decays.

Clad in crimson armor and bearing silver blades, they are a symbol of relentless purpose. Trained from the earliest age in self-denial, obedience, and combat, they are forged not as individuals, but as instruments—precise, cold, and unyielding. Their minds are tempered by doctrine, their bodies hardened by endless war. Mercy is not their code. Victory through control is. In their doctrine, peace is not the absence of war, but the product of conquest.

The Iron Templars do not wait for conflict to come to them—they carry it outward. They are the vanguard of the Crusade's advance, deployed in strike teams, leading campaigns, or purging rebellious systems. Every action is part of a greater war: the ongoing and total reclamation of the galaxy under the Iron Crusade's rule. This is no fleeting campaign. It is a generational mission—a ceaseless march to bring all worlds into alignment with the will of the Throne.

Though they serve the Warmaster of the Crusade and the Masters of the Iron Temple, their highest duty is to the survival and supremacy of the Crusade itself. Should its leadership falter—should weakness take root—the Iron Templars are bound by oath and law to act. No ruler, no general, no knight stands above the mission. The Crusade endures. Individuals do not.

Feared by their enemies and revered by the loyal, the Iron Templars are not saviors. They are not lights in the darkness. They are the storm that clears the rot, the blade that ensures the Crusade's future. Where they march, order is restored. Where they strike, resistance is crushed. And where they hold, the line is eternal.

The Iron Temple does not forget. The Crusade does not forgive.
The Iron Templars do not fail.

Crusader Chapters
Grandmaster: vacant
The Crusaders form the spearhead of the Iron Templars. They are the Chapter of war, of relentless advance and uncompromising fury. Their training emphasizes direct combat, shock assault, and aggressive deployment. Crusaders are taught to lead from the front, to inspire through action, and to carry the weight of the Crusade's wrath wherever order falters. They are the ideal of the Templar warrior made manifest: disciplined, fervent, and tireless in battle. Where a world resists, it is the Crusaders who breach its walls and raise the banners of the Iron Crusade upon its ruins.

Inquisitor Chapters
Grandmaster: vacant

The Inquisitors are the shadow and scalpel of the Iron Temple. Tasked with rooting out sedition, corruption, treachery, and deviation within and beyond the Crusade's reach, they serve as enforcers of doctrinal purity and internal stability. Masters of investigation, coercion, and execution, Inquisitors operate independently or in small detachments, wielding absolute authority granted by the Iron Temple. They do not seek truth—they define it. Inquisitors are feared not only by the enemies of the Crusade but by its own ranks, for none are beyond their scrutiny.

Praetorian Chapters
Grandmaster: Dante Kess Dante Kess
The Praetorians are the shield and the silent blade. As bodyguards, lieutenants, and personal enforcers, they are entrusted with the direct protection of the Imperial Warmaster, the Supreme Grandmaster, and other high command figures. But they are more than sentinels—they are tacticians, adjutants, and executioners when needed. The Praetorians embody restraint, precision, and vigilance. Their mere presence signals that the Temple watches. They are rarely seen in large numbers, but when they move, it is with the authority of the Throne itself.

✠ THE TEMPLAR'S CODE ✠

✠ WE ARE THE SWORD OF THE EMPIRE. ✠

The Iron Templars are not a council, not an order of philosophers or wanderers. They are forged instruments of imperial supremacy — blades without doubt or deviation. To be a Knight is to shed individual identity in favor of a singular function: to act as the cutting edge of the Empire's will. They do not exist to protect; they exist to enforce.

✠ WE ARE ITS WILL, ITS WRATH, ITS JUDGMENT. ✠
Every action undertaken by the Iron Templars is sanctioned and absolute. They speak with the voice of authority, strike with its fury, and execute its law without hesitation. Mercy and contemplation have no place in their mandate. In the field, they are arbiters, assassins, and avatars of the Empire's dominion — swift, merciless, final.

✠ THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUTH: ORDER. ✠
Order is the supreme law of existence — a singular truth beyond ideology or interpretation. Chaos is weakness, freedom is fragmentation, and dissent is treason. All morality, power, and purpose derives from structure and hierarchy. The Templars reject nuance and ambiguity; Order is the only path, and anything else is decay.

✠ IN ORDER, EMOTION IS DUTY. ✠
Emotion is not denied nor indulged — it is harnessed. Love becomes loyalty to the chain of command. Anger becomes righteous fury against traitors. Grief becomes memory honored through vigilance. Every feeling is shackled and forced into servitude. The Templars does not feel freely; he feels to serve.

✠ IN ORDER, KNOWLEDGE IS A WEAPON. ✠
Knowledge is never neutral. It is a tool of war, power, and control. Within the Iron Templars, knowledge is hoarded, restricted, and refined to strategic utility. A Knight studies not to understand the galaxy, but to dominate it. Forbidden texts are not destroyed — they are locked away and wielded with precision by the worthy.

✠ IN ORDER, PASSION IS LOYALTY. ✠
Passion is not self-expression — it is dedication refined into obedience. A Templar's zeal is not for a cause, but for command. To serve with fire in one's heart is not virtue unless that fire is directed wholly and without question to the Empire. Devotion is power only when it bends the knee.

✠ IN ORDER, HIERARCHY IS SUPREMACY. ✠
Supremacy is found in structure. Rank is not merely organization — it is the divine order of power. To obey one's superior is not duty, but truth. To disobey is to shatter reality. The Iron Templars worship the chain of command, for it is through submission to hierarchy that true authority and perfection are achieved.

✠ IN ORDER, DEATH IS JUDGEMENT. ✠
Death is not loss — it is assessment. To die in defiance is to be erased. To die in service is to be remembered. A Templar's death has meaning only when it is given to the Order, under command, with purpose. Martyrdom, sacrifice, and execution are tools of doctrine. A Knight embraces death, so long as it is weighed, measured, and useful.

✠ THE FORCE IS A WEAPON, ✠
The Force is not divine, and it is not fate. It is neither balance nor chaos. It is a mechanism — a latent tool of domination and projection. The Jedi are weak for worshiping it, and the Sith are fools for surrendering to it. The Iron Templar tempers it, bends it, and uses it. The Force is nothing but an extension of the Knight's blade.

✠ AND WE ARE THE SWORD OF THE EMPIRE. ✠
The Code ends as it begins — in iron certainty. The Templar is not a scholar, not a hero, not a man. He is a weapon of the state. He is loyalty incarnate, given flesh and command. His oath is eternal, his purpose singular, and his end irrelevant. He is the Sword — and the Sword does not question.

STRUCTURE AND HIERARCHY

The Iron Templars are a militant Force Order of both elite warriors and incorruptible exemplars of Imperial virtue. They are a brotherhood defined not by blood, but by oath and ordeal. Forged in war and bound by an iron creed, they stand not as mystics or philosophers, but as weapons of the Empire - tempered in duty, discipline, and unwavering loyalty. Every Templar is part of a greater whole, a blade within a vast arsenal, each role defined by tradition and necessity.

The Order's internal structure is rigid, steeped in hierarchy, protocol, and oathbound purpose. Advancement is earned through valor, devotion, and the flawless execution of one's duties—not through ambition. Templars do not rise through politics or favor, but through proving themselves as paragons of the Code.

Though spiritual in nature and bonded to the Force, the Iron Templars are no monastic sect. They are a martial order, with clear chains of command, defined ranks, and the expectation of absolute obedience. Senior ranks are entrusted with the direction of campaigns, the stewardship of doctrine, the training of the next generation, or the guardianship of sacred knowledge and duty. Every Templar, regardless of station, serves the greater Order without question.

Secrecy is interwoven with loyalty. While all Templars are bound by the same Code, not all are privy to the same knowledge. Truths are revealed only as necessity and rank demand, and many duties are cloaked in silence and symbolism. The Order safeguards its relics, its rituals, and its secrets with the same zeal it protects the Empire.

To serve within the Iron Templars is not simply to wield the Force, but to be wielded with precision, purpose, and honor.

THE GREAT CHAPTERS
One Order. Three Paths. One Purpose.

CRUSADER CHAPTER
"The Crusader does not fight for victory. He fights to restore Order, and Order does not fail."

The Crusader Chapter is the largest and most foundational body within the Iron Templars. It is from this Chapter that most Knights are drawn, trained, and deployed. Crusaders are the vanguard of the Order, leading military campaigns, spearheading assaults, and commanding Knightly detachments in battle.

They are tacticians, warlords, and champions, trained not just in personal combat but in the orchestration of battle across planetary and even sector-wide scales. Where a world burns with rebellion or where loyal subjects cry for justice, the Crusaders descend in disciplined force.

Their role is not only combat, but also presence. The sight of a Crusader Templar on the battlefield is a symbol of Imperial will made manifest: unyielding, incorruptible, and inevitable.

INQUISITOR CHAPTER
"A Crusader breaks the enemy. An Inquisitor unmakes them."

The Inquisitor Chapter is the most secretive and esoteric branch of the Order. These Templars are investigators, hunters, and purifiers, tasked with rooting out the enemies of Order that fester in darkness. Their primary charge is the tracking and elimination of rogue Force users, heretics, Sith remnants, and those who threaten the spiritual or ideological purity of the Empire.

They operate independently or in small cells, often beyond the knowledge of even high-ranking military officials. Inquisitors also seek out ancient artifacts, dangerous relics, and forbidden technologies that could destabilize the delicate balance of power.

Though distrusted by many outside the Order due to their clandestine nature, Inquisitors are revered within the Templars for their relentless pursuit of corruption, even when it means sacrificing personal glory or walking paths few dare tread.

PRAETORIAN CHAPTER
"The Praetorian does not draw his blade in haste. When he does, it is too late for the enemy."

The Praetorian Chapter is the ceremonial and protective arm of the Order, tasked with safeguarding the highest echelons of Imperial authority and the holiest relics of the Templars. They are bodyguards, guardians, and advisors, sworn to protect with both sword and soul.

Praetorians are often assigned to protect figures of strategic, spiritual, or political significance, ranging from military commanders and high-ranking officials to vaults containing ancient oaths or Force-wrought secrets. In peace, they advise. In conflict, they stand immovable.

What distinguishes the Praetorians is not just martial excellence but decorum, discretion, and devotion. They are chosen for their restraint, insight, and ability to act without impulse. They do not speak often, but when they do, it carries the weight of Iron will.

The Seneshals of the Order are primarily drawn from the ranks of the Praetorians.

HIERARCHY
In duty, we rise. In loyalty, we endure.

SUPREME GRANDMASTER
"The First Among Equals. The Voice of the Code."

The Supreme Grandmaster is the highest authority within the Iron Templars, a paragon of discipline, wisdom, and devotion to Order. This Knight is entrusted with the spiritual and strategic leadership of the entire Order, wielding command over all Chapters and presiding over the interpretation and enforcement of the Code.

The Supreme Grandmaster does not govern as a monarch, but as a servant of the Code, his authority flowing from its principles. His decisions shape the fate of the Order and its role within the Empire. He is both high warlord and final arbiter of heresy, a living symbol of what every Templar should aspire to become.

Generally elected from one of the Grandmasters, it usually is either the Grandmaster of the Crusaders or Praetorians. The election is done by the Grandmasters and Seneshals of the Order and has to be unanimous. A Supreme Grandmaster may proclaim a successor, but it has to be confirmed in the same manner.

GRANDMASTER
"Chapter Lord. Warden of Purpose."

Each of the three Great Chapters: Crusaders, Inquisitors, and Praetorians is led by a Grandmaster. These are the supreme authorities within their respective spheres, responsible for the conduct, training, and deployment of their Templars. A Grandmaster sets the tone for their Chapter, embodies its traditions, and upholds its unique role within the wider Order.

A Grandmaster must not only be an exceptional warrior and leader but a philosopher of Order, one who truly understands the place of their Chapter in the grand design.

Elevated by the Supreme Grandmaster, usually from among the most distinguished Marshals or Paladins who have shown long service, doctrinal clarity, and leadership in their Chapter. It is a rare and solemn appointment.

MARSHAL
"Master of the Field. Commander of Blades."

Marshals are the operational commanders of the Order, seasoned Templars entrusted with leading large formations, directing campaigns, or overseeing critical missions. They are chosen for their ability to impose Order across chaos, whether in open warfare, crisis, or spiritual unrest.

Marshals often serve as Chapter lieutenants under the Grandmasters, and may command battle groups, oversee regions of space, or train future generations of Templars.

Appointed by the Grandmasters after proving exceptional command capability, loyalty, and insight. Promotion from Paladin to Marshal is based on merit, victory, and judgement.

SENESHAL
"Keepers of Flame. Guardians of Rites."

Seneschals are senior Templars who take up the burdens of teaching, spiritual guidance, administration, or ritual oversight. They ensure the purity of doctrine, the health of Knightly tradition, and the internal discipline of the Order. They may lead sacred rites, train Squires, serve as advisors to Marshals or Grandmasters, and maintain the Order's vast records and libraries.

Though they may not lead in battle as often, their influence is deeply felt throughout the ranks. Many future Paladins and Marshals pass through the hands of Seneschals.

Appointed based on wisdom, knowledge of the Code, and most importantly, trusted service and unwavering loyalty. Often selected from among experienced Praetorians who have served with distinction but choose for quieter, vital service to the Order's soul and future.

PALADIN
"Shield of Legacy. Blade of the Code."

Paladins are veteran Templars who have proven themselves time and again in both battle and adherence to the Code. They are exemplars, looked to by younger Templars as mentors and by superiors as dependable agents for critical missions. A Paladin may serve alongside Marshals or act independently with high authority.

Many Paladins take on special oaths or serve as champions of particular relics, traditions, or planetary domains. Their word carries weight, and their judgment is rarely questioned.

Promotion is granted by a Marshal or Grandmaster following exceptional service, spiritual fortitude, and years of unflinching loyalty. Few Templars ever reach this rank.

TEMPLAR
"Servant of Order. Blade of the Empire."
The backbone of the Order, full Templars are battle-hardened Force adepts who have completed their training, taken the Oath of the Code, and earned their place within a Chapter. They are deployed to the field, serve in strike teams, oversee Squires, and uphold the will of the Empire.

Each Templar is expected to master both martial prowess and internal discipline. They are given great responsibility, but remain forever in service, never above the Code, never above the Empire.

Upon the successful completion of training and trials, and the approval of a Marshal or Paladin mentor, a Squire is anointed a Templar in a formal ceremony. From this point, they are considered full members of the Order.

SQUIRE
"Iron in the Fire. The Path Begins."

Squires are aspirants in training, recruited either from within the Empire or among the descendants of former Templars. They are rigorously tested in both the ways of the Force and the disciplines of war. A Squire serves under a Templar or Paladin and must undergo years of conditioning, study, and hardship.

Squires are not expected to understand the full breadth of the Code, but they must live it. Their entire existence is preparation for the Oath they hope one day to take.

Under the Empire's policies is the conscription of Force Users into the ranks of Iron Templars if Force sensitivity is detected upon birth. A measure to bolster numbers while keeping track of Force sensitives within the borders of the realm.
