Training

Tanis Val'dorn

Servant of Shadows
Tanis was up early as usual. Master Moridin had agreed to personally train him, so he definitely did not want to be late; there was much that he could learn from him. The training grounds were fairly quiet this morning. Tanis had been the first one to arrive, and remains the only one since. Doing some basic stretches, meditations, and basic Force abilities; he awaited the arrival of his Master.

Moridin appeared behind Tanis Val'Dorn in a flash of black tendrils and darkside energy. It was quite strange, it was as if the very air itself bent and destroyed itself in the formation of the Sith Lord. As soon as he was solid the Dreadlord spoke, his voice was filled with an unpleasantness that was really quite hard to quantify. He looked down at his apprentice.

This was one of the newer Sith. He was born after the Gulag Plague or so Moridin assumed. He did not know the man, or his origin but he appeared to be young and The Dreadlord did not recognize him from before the plague meaning he must have ascended as a Sith after the plague. Moridin watched him intently for a few seconds, probing him with the force.

Are you ready?” His voice sounded strained and broken, as if he had not said a word in an age.

As his Master appeared, Tanis felt the a surge of darkside power behind him. The feeling was the most intense he had ever experienced, coming from a single being. "Yes, my Master....." Tanis said in a solemn tone, as he turned around whilst removing his lightsabers from his robe. He did not know what his Master had in store for him, but Tanis would be prepared for the worst.

Good.” Moridin said with a slight grin. At that very instance the darkness at the corner's of the training ground shifted and seemed to move about, from the shade bounded something. A massive hound like creature jumped forth form the shadow, followed by two or three from other sections of the training ground. The creatures gave off the stink of the darkside, and as they moved their flesh seemed to smoke with pure blackness.

Poison dripped from their mouth, and it bubbled as it hit the sandy floor. In an instant Moridin moved backwards, appearing several yards back from where he had once been standing.

As soon as he reappeared farther from his apprentice the Darkhounds bounded forward towards Tanis. The creatures howled and jumped forth, obviously intending to tear the young apprentice into shreds.

Smiling at the fact that his training would be against creatures of his Master's own creation, Tanis prepared himself. In an instant, he had ignited his dual lightsabers, attaching them to each other. As the hounds bounded towards the Apprentice, Tanis, crouched low to the ground until the Darkhounds were in attack range. As the first two Darkhounds reached Tanis, he proceeded to spin a circle, like a tornado, unleashing the fury of his attack. As he spun, Tanis launched himself into the air to unleash an unbridled Force Chain-Lightning attack upon the hounds which would hit each of them in turn.

(Sorry it took so long been busy)

The Darkhounds kept on coming, the lightning struck them hard and spark ran over their entire body. But instead of a quick death, they instead curled up for a few seconds. Their spines straightened and electricity ran throughout their entire body, but they did not die. The Serin were made and born of the Darkside, it flowed through their veins more readily than it would in any Sith. In essence they were a part of the Darkside of the force, and Force lightning being a pure expression of the darkside...well suffice it to say the attack could not kill them.

The Serin were creatures of the dark, only the light could destroy them...and of course lightsabers. The beasts recoiled at the lightning, but nothing more. They did not slow and kept coming towards Tanis, aiming to tear him into shreds
