OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create rounds that pair with the marking function of Talohn's PCC
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Talohn Atar Talohn Atar
  • Affiliation: Closed market
  • Model: Tracer attempt #155
  • Modularity: yes
  • Production: Mass produced
  • Material: Durasteel and technological components
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Can't run: These rounds are meant to follow a marked target after being fired, thus they will lock into an enemy and guide themselves until striking said enemy, or a surface if they somehow miss. This is great for snipers in larger calibers.
  • Elemental: Though not strong in of themselves, the rounds can be equipped with various things, such as fire or acid that explode on impact to cause extra damage.
STRENGTHS
  • Tracing rounds: As stated above, these rounds can follow an enemy after being fired. This can have varying lethality depending on the caliber of bullet made.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not Strong: Due to these rounds being more tech than bullet, their armor piercing is not high at all, and decently armored enemies will easily be able to shrug them off if they aren't acidic rounds.
  • Physical limit: The bullets can only turn so far after being fired from a gun. Therefore, even though they are locked on, if one's aim is extremely far off or the enemy is too fast, these bullets can easily miss due to being unable to turn at the velocity they are flying.
  • EMP vulnerable: If an EMP goes off while these bullets are live, they will stop working and fly off course. Any of said trackrounds remaining in the magazine will also be ineffective for the duration, and will only function as subpar regular projectiles
  • Requires the PCC to properly used the tracking rounds.
DESCRIPTION
Talohn, while testing the implications of the PCC chip, decided to try out tracer rounds. They proved to be ever so slightly fruitful, bit it became obvious that they would never reach the power of a full on bullet. Therefore, the tackrounds were fitted to be more of an elemental damage sort of weapon, Acid, fire, explosive, shock. All of these can be stored within the weapons in small amounts to give those bullets the extra damage they need to actually be worth it in combat. In larger calibers, such as sniper rounds, this is less true. However, due to the velocity at which sniper rounds fly, the margin for which the bullet can fly itself into the enemy's skull is drastically decreased. None of these features on the tracker rounds can be used without the PCC, and a PCC compatible weapon.
